Johnny Depp #26

Imagine you're a fashion designer and you work for Johnny Depp.

It was around six in the morning as you parked your car, grabbed your cup of coffee and portfolio binder, and you headed inside for work at Depp Collection, where you work as a fashion designer for the one and only owner of the corporation, Johnny Depp. You've been working there for the past six months after you received your fashion degree at college and it was a dream come true for you since you were not only showing off your talents of creating designs on a piece of paper at one of the newly found company in the fashion industry, but you also get to work with Johnny, who happened to be your long time celebrity crush. But you kept your feelings about Johnny to yourself as you wanted to be professional and not lose your job over it.

You walked inside and you were met up with your coworker and friend, Evan Decker. "Good morning, (y/n)." He said, as he walked next to you. "Good morning, Evan. How was your date with Tod last night?" You asked. "It was alright, I guess." Evan answered, as you both approached your work stations and you set up everything on your drafting table. "Alright? Why do you say that?" You questioned, before you took a drink of your coffee. "We made out after dinner and I felt like I was being kissed by a sucker fish." Evan said, which caused you to almost to choke on your coffee after he said that last part. After you coughed for a second, you started laughing.

"A sucker fish?" You laughed. "He had soft lips, I'll admit, but the way he was kissing me felt like my lips were being sucked into his mouth." Evan explained. You laughed even more of how he was describing his make out session. "Oh, Evan, you're cracking me up. You're already making my morning great so far." You said, wiping the tears that were forming in your eyes from laughing so hard. "I'm sure that your date with him wasn't that bad." You added, while taking a couple of deep breaths. "Oh, and I forgot to mention that he winked and kind of flirted with the waiter during our date." Evan said. "Oh. That is kind of weird. But maybe you should give him another chance." "No way, (y/n). I can find someone else that is so much better than Tod." Evan responded. You chuckled and shook your head as you got out your portfolio.

"How are your drawings coming along?" You asked. "Great. I started working on some new outfits that I could see Johnny wearing." Evan said, as he opened his portfolio and showed you what he had drawn so far. "That looks good, Evan." "Thank you. I know Johnny is really into this kind of style, so why not 1940's inspired theme." Evan explained. "It definitely suits him. No pun intended." You said, making Evan giggle. "How are your drawings coming along, (y/n)?" He asked. "Good. Haven't really been thinking about new ideas except this one, which I can totally picture Johnny's daughter, Lily-Rose, wearing this." You answered, as you showed Evan an outline on what you have so far on your new design idea.

"Just a simple design I had in mind, with an inspiration idea of making the back part similar to Ariana Grande's wedding dress. I'm still debating on whether I should make the skirt longer or leave the front of the skirt alone and make the back of the train longer." You explained the detailing. "I think it looks fabulous, (y/n)." Evan commented. But you started to doubtful about your idea. "I don't know. I feel like it's not good enough. I haven't been coming up with good ideas lately." You said. "Don't doubt yourself on your design, (y/n), and I would never lie to you when I tell you that your design is fabulous. In fact, even though you've only worked here for a short time, I have to admit that you're one of the best designers in his corporation and you deserve some recognition." Evan said, making you smile.

"You guys!" You and Evan heard a coworker, Yasmin, call out from behind you both. "What is it, Yasmin?" You asked. "Just got word that Johnny is on his way down here." Yasmin said, surprising you and Evan. "But he hasn't been here in months." Evan pointed out. "I know. But now that the trial is over, he's coming back here to see how things are going." Yasmin explained. "Oh, boy, I must look presentable." Evan exclaimed, as he took out his compact mirror and straightened out his bleached undercut haircut. "He should be here any minute, so make a good impression for him when he arrives." Yasmin reminded you and Evan before she went back to her station.

After that was announced, you couldn't help but daydream with a smile on your face, not even thinking about your surroundings. You've seen Johnny a couple of times, but very briefly since he has a very busy schedule with his acting and music career and the trial against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, that he's been preparing for. You never met up with him or talked with him and you've always thought about having the opportunity to do that. But you didn't know how you were gonna approach him and what to say to him.

Your thoughts were soon interrupted when you heard Evan's voice. You snapped back into reality and you turned to him and said, "Hm? What? What did you say?" But Evan didn't answer. Instead, he was smirking at you. "I know that look anywhere. You were daydreaming about Johnny, weren't you, (y/n)" He said. You blushed out of embarrassment when he asked you that. "I—No. I wasn't, Evan." You denied. But Evan could see the blush on your cheeks. "Right. Tell me, do you have a crush on Johnny? Hm?" Evan questioned. "No. I don't, Evan." You lied. "Oh, come on, (y/n). I'm your friend. Tell me and I won't say a word to no one." Evan said, convincingly. You sighed before you took a deep breath and confessed, "Okay. I do have a crush on Johnny."

Evan squealed, quietly, and said back, "I knew! I knew you were hiding something whenever Johnny was brought up and you ended up daydreaming!" "I mean, I had a celebrity crush on him for the longest time." You tried to explain. "But now that you're working for his fashion company, it's more serious now, is it?" Evan asked. You waited a moment to answer until you finally responded back, "Yes." If Evan could scream in excitement, he could. But, respectfully, he squealed, quietly, again and gave you a hug. "Oh, my gosh! (y/n), that's awesome!" He exclaimed, happily.

But you, on the other hand, weren't excited. "Even if I have a crush on him, I highly doubt that I would go out with him." You said. "Why do you say that?" "He's a celebrity, Evan. He's the biggest star in the film industry along with his music career and now owning the Depp Collection and he's getting his life back after dealing with the trial against that horrible ex-wife of his. I don't think he's even interested in dating. Not to mention the fact that we have a age difference." You explained. "What are you trying to say, (y/n)? Are you saying that you're not good enough for him?" Evan asked. But you didn't answer him. All you did was look down, sadly, while you were deep in thought.

Then, you and Evan had caught a familiar voice speaking from a distance; it was Johnny Depp himself. He was greeting his team and the secretary at the entrance and speaking something with them. You fluffed your (h/l) (h/c) hair and fixed your black dress before you opened up your portfolio and began drawing more of your design, trying to act professional with your work. As you heard Johnny approaching towards your direction, you kept on drawing until you heard him ask, "Does anyone know where I can find Miss (y/n) (y/l/n)?"

Your heart began to beat like crazy and your cheeks were getting warm after you heard him say your name. But you couldn't get utter a word for some reason. "She's right here, Mr. Depp." You heard Evan say, which made you blushed in embarrassment. 'Why, Evan? Why?' You thought to yourself, while you mentally slapped your forehead. Without being rude, you turned and faced Johnny, who had a smile on his and looked handsome as he always does with his style of clothing he wears. "Hello, Mr. Depp." You said, a little bit bashfully, hoping he doesn't see you blushing. He chuckled and said, "You can call me 'Johnny', sweetheart, and same to you too, young lad. Mr. Depp seems too formal." "Yes, sir." Evan said, in the background.

"Anyway, Miss (y/n), I was wondering if I could have a word with you in my office?" Johnny asked. You hesitated to answer him until you finally said, "Um—Sure, Johnny." "Great. I'll see you in my office in about five minutes." Johnny said, and, then, he walked away to go to his office. After he left, you turned back to your desk and muttered, "Oh, my God. Did that really just happen? Johnny wants to see me." "This is awesome, (y/n). You get to have a chit chat with Johnny." Evan said. "But I don't know what he wants to talk to me about." You said, sounding worried. "Don't worry too much, (y/n). It's probably not a bad thing. Also, you have to admit, no one ever gets to talk with Johnny and I'm so jealous. I'm just kidding. Anyway, if Johnny asks you out on a date, take my advice, (y/n), don't say 'no'. Say 'yes'; it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity you don't want to miss out on, especially when you have a crush on him."

You blushed even more and giggled since it was true; it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to chat with Johnny, especially when you do have a crush on him. "Alright, Evan. I'll take your advice, but I'll use it if that's the case. Now I better get to Johnny's office and see what he wants to talk with me about." You said, as you were leaving your station. "Remember my advice, (y/n)." You heard Evan say from behind you and you gave him the thumbs up as you were heading over to Johnny's office.

Once you got to his office, you knocked on the door and heard, "Come in." You opened the door and walked inside his office. You've never been inside his office before and it was styled that suited him; it was filled with paintings that he made himself or by different artists, pictures of people that influenced him, and pictures of his children. Johnny turned to your direction and smiled when he saw you and said, "Nice to see you, (y/n). Have a seat." You, then, sat down on the chair in front of his desk, while he sat in his seat across from you.

"I'm sorry if I did something wrong." You started saying, nervously. Johnny furrowed his eyebrows, in confusion. "What are you talking about, sweetheart?" He asked. "Isn't that why you wanted to talk with me about?" "Of course not. That's not what I wanted to talk with you about. I wanted to talk about you and your work. How long have you've been working for my collection?" Johnny asked. "For six months." You answered. "Six months. Wow. That's amazing. Anyway, I was talking with my team earlier about the workers here and I was just reviewing your work status and I gotta say I am very impressed. I can see why my team has considered you as the best designer in the corporation."

You were surprised after you found out from Johnny that you're the best designer of his own company. You thought that Evan was exaggerating earlier, but it turns out that it was true. Not to mention the fact that Johnny himself said that he was very impressed with your work. "Oh, my gosh. This is news to me. I didn't know I was the best designer in your collection company, Johnny." You said, with a smile. "Well, for a designer who's been working here for six months that graduated at the top of her class according to your resume, my team and I are very astonished by your work, (y/n), which is why I wanted to discuss more about you and your work. I'm not gonna be here much longer as I have to go meet with my agent about a possible new upcoming role for me and I was wondering if you like to go out to dinner with me tonight if you don't have any plans." Johnny said.

'Am I dreaming or did Johnny Depp just asked me out to dinner tonight? Oh, my gosh. It's early in the morning and this day is already beginning to be the best day of my life.' You thought to yourself. You hesitated for a second, but you finally responded back, with excitement all over your face, "I don't have any plans for tonight. I would love to join you for dinner tonight, Johnny." Johnny, then, smiled and stood up from his chair and said, "Wonderful. I'll have my driver pick you up from your place tonight at five." "Perfect. I'll see you at dinner later, Johnny. Thank you." You said. "You're welcome and see you later this evening, (y/n)." Johnny said, and, then, you got up from your chair and walked out of his office. 'Won't Evan be so happy that I took his advise?' You thought to yourself, with a grin on your face.

***

By the time the evening came along, you were at a fancy restaurant with Johnny that he had chosen. You both talked about each other and discussed about your design work and why you wanted to become a designer. Having dinner with Johnny felt like a dream come true. Evan was right; it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to have dinner with someone that you've had a crush on since you were a teenager. But it was mostly for business reasons, so you maintained your professional self, even though you still felt like it was a date with Johnny.

"Are you enjoying your evening, (y/n)?" Johnny asked, kindly, before he took a sip of his wine after paying the bill. "I'm having a great time, Johnny. Having dinner and discussing my design work with work has made this the best day of my life." You answered. "You're a very talented woman, (y/n), and I'm very happy to have you part of my collection." Johnny said, which made you blush. "Well, I'm very happy to work for your collection too, Johnny." You said.

"Since you're having a good time, how would you like to go on another date with me?" Johnny asked. You looked at him, confused, and, then, you questioned, "To discuss more about my work?" Johnny chuckled and said, "Not really. It would be a general date where I wanna get to know more about you." When he said that, you felt your heart skip a beat. He was literally asking you out on a date that was not work related but as in an actual date. Another date with your crush sounded amazing. But there was something else on your mind you thought about. "But would it make me look unprofessional to be going out on an actual date with you, especially since you're the owner of the company?" You questioned.

Johnny, gently, took your hand into his and held it before he said, "(y/n), you don't have to worry about that and you won't look unprofessional or lose your job over going on another with me. If someone gives you a hard time about it, come tell me and I'll explain to them. I actually have to be honest with you, (y/n), it is strange that I'm out on a date again after not going on one for such a long time because of dealing with the situation with my ex-wife and I thought I wouldn't date ever again. But going on this dinner date with you and talking about your work and getting to know about you, something in my heart sparked that made me become interested in you."

You smiled and you felt that fluttering feeling in your heart again after hearing his sweet, beautiful words. "So, does Friday night work for our next date?" You asked. "I think Friday will be perfect." Johnny responded, and, then, he placed a kiss on top of your hand, which made you giggle and do a fangirl scream inside your head at the same time. Johnny, then, got up from his chair, with him still holding your hand and he helped you stand up from your chair before heading the entrance of the restaurant. He got his coat on and he helped you put your coat on before the two of you, hand-in-hand, walked out of the restaurant.
