Y/n's POV:

I was a Soc. I lived in a nice neighborhood, I hung out with the rich kids, and I was supposed to stay away from the Greasers. I didn't really like my life. All I did was participate in rumbles against the Greasers, no matter what my opinion on it was.

The biggest problem was that I had a big crush on Johnny Cade, one of the Greasers. Everything about him was just wonderful and I couldn't stop thinking about him. I thought I was never going to have a chance with him until one fateful day...

Johnny's POV:

I was walking through town with Ponyboy and Dally, making sure that the Socs weren't in our territory. Being extremely paranoid, I kept an extra eye out for them.

"You guys up for a movie tonight?" Dally asked us.

"Yeah, man, definitely!" Ponyboy smiled.

"Sure," I told him.

"Great! We'll meet outside the drive-in at 7," Dally instructed.

Time Skip To That Night

Later that night, Ponyboy and I met Dally at the drive-in movie theatre and snuck inside. About halfway through the movie, I got up to go get snacks.

"Y'all want popcorn?" I asked Ponyboy and Dally.

"Sure," they replied.

On my way to the snack building, I accidentally bumped into someone.

"S-sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going," I apologized.

"No, it's ok. It was my fault," a voice said softly. I felt my face burn red when I saw who it was. It was a beautiful girl with h/c hair and e/c eyes. Everything about her was just stunning! She looked awfully familiar, but I couldn't quite remember where I know her.

"Wh-what's your name, m-miss?" I stuttered nervously.

"I'm y/n l/n," the girl answered. "You're Johnny Cade, right?"

"Y-yes, I am. How'd you know my name?" I pressed.

"You may not know me, but I'm a Soc. I've heard a lot about you," y/n said sadly.

"A-a Soc?" My right hand trembled a bit.

"I won't hurt you, I promise!" Y/n insisted. "I don't like being a Soc anyway. I'm always feeling pressured."

"If you want, we can meet up in the lot in my neighborhood later tonight," I suggested. "My parents won't care where I am."

I saw y/n blush. "Sounds good! I'm sure I can find a way to sneak out. Well, I'd better get going. See you later!"

Y/n walked away.

I just stood in silence for a moment to process what had just happened before remembering what I was doing before.

Time Skip

Y/n's POV:

My heart was pounding in my chest as I made my way to the lot.

I can't believe THE Johnny Cade asked me to hang out with him! I thought to myself.

When I arrived at the lot, I saw Johnny laying on a couch and staring at the stars.

"Hi, Johnny!" I greeted.

Johnny sat up and smiled brightly when he saw me.

"Y/n, I'm so glad you came," he beamed. He was too adorable! "You can come sit down if you'd like."

I obeyed and sat down beside Johnny.

"The stars sure are beautiful, aren't they?" I said in awe.

"They sure are," Johnny agreed. "Just looking at them takes me away from all my problems."

"What kind of problems?" I asked him gently.

Johnny hesitated. "My folks don't like me. My old man beats me and my mother ignores me. They don't care if I come home and they're always fighting. That's why I usually stay out here in the lot."

"Oh, Johnny, I'm so sorry," I began. "I didn't realize-"

"It's alright. I'm used to it," Johnny interrupted with a sad smile. "Now that I have you here with me, I don't feel so bad."

I blushed.

"You know, I remember you now. You're the girl who I see in our rumbles," Johnny blurted.

"Not my proudest moments..." I mumbled to myself.

"You looked awfully beautiful in those fights. You must be so strong..." Johnny whispered.

"Thank you, Johnny."

"For what?"

"For trusting me. I know it's not easy for you to talk to a Soc, but I'm glad that you're willing to."

"As long as it's you, I don't mind."

"Johnny, can I ask your a question?"

"Sure, go ahead."

"If I liked you, would you like me back?"

Johnny blushed fiercely. "What do you mean?"

Then, I kissed Johnny. "I mean... like that."

"The answer to that would be 'yes'."
