Chapter 26

Song(s) for the chapter: Wait a Minute! By WILLOW; OUTTA MY MIND by Monsune

T/W: slight slut-shaming/crude language (surprisingly not Draco this time🥳)

My eyes flutter open, feeling oddly warmer than normal. Normally the sun's rays hit my face in the morning, but I don't feel them. I only see very subdued light, as if I were underwater.

I glance around the room, realizing that the normal browns, yellows and honey tones of my room are now black and different shades of green.

Where am I?

That's when I feel two larger arms wrapped tightly around my waist, and the heat from someone pressed closely against my backside.

I recognize the pale skin and large, slender hands, and as I turn my body to face the heat source, I let out a small gasp.

I can't believe I forgot I slept in Draco's room... in his bed... with him!

"Dear Merlin," I mumble out, my voice sounding a bit croaky from just waking up a few minutes ago.

My eyes are studying the Platinum-haired Slytherin, his eyelashes are laying gently on his cheeks, much like the time he took a nap in Defence Against the Dark Arts. His breathing is quiet and slow, and I can't help but to savor the fact that he looks so gentle and calm.

It's odd seeing him so peaceful when he undoubtedly is the most annoying and unpeaceful person I know.

I can't help but caress his cheek with my fingers. Dragging them slowly across his cool, unblemished skin, he lets out a soft groan before nestling his head closer to me.

As I continue to gently stroke his face, I whisper, "Good morning, Draco...I'm going to get up and change."

His eyes flutter open, but his eyes are still glazed over as if he's still half-asleep. He mumbles out an, "mhm alright."

I gnaw at my bottom lip at his deep and guttural morning voice, finding it incredibly attractive.

I watch as he closes his eyes again, pulling the comforter more over his body before falling back asleep. Wriggling out of the bed, I grab my top from the night prior as well as my skirt and heels before rushing out of his room and towards the shared Prefect bathroom.

Once inside, I swiftly slide my skirt up my legs, but before I can switch the Quidditch jumper with my top from last night, someone opens the door. I look over towards the door-frame to see the black-haired Slytherin prefect standing there in her black slip with a dark emerald robe over it.

"Ugh Draco get out! I have to use the loo-" Pansy stops mid-sentence, her deep brown eyes are wide as she drags them up and down my figure in shock.

After a solid minute of her staring, she sneers out, "what the bloody hell are you doing here?"

"I'm changing?" I reply, crossing my arms as I do so. She narrows her gaze at me, and I notice her eyes shift down to Draco's jumper on me.

"Is that Draco's Quidditch jumper?" Her question is sharp, matching the steely look on her face.

I glance down at the jumper before looking back up at her.

"It certainly looks like it," I try to keep my face serious as I say this, but I'm finding it challenging as she furrows her dainty eyebrows even more.

"Did you steal it? Because Draco never lets anyone wear his clothes, let alone his jumper."

Her words surprise me as I would think he would have let Pansy wear a shirt of his after one of their rendezvouses at least once.

Masking my surprise, I simply retort with, "he gave it to me."

Her lips turn up into a sinister scowl as she hisses out, "oh, so you two shagged? Finally lost your virginity, hmm?"

Although I'd like to give her a piece of my mind as well as a fist to the face, I don't. Rather, I gather up my things, saying, "I don't think that's any of your business."

As I slip past her as she's still standing in the doorway, I say, "have a good day, Pansy."

I give her a smile, trying my best to bite my tongue and not snicker at her very angry face. As I'm to Draco's door, I hear her slam the bathroom door, and that's when I let out my small laugh.

That was honestly so amusing!

Opening his door quietly, I see he's still fast asleep, so after I close the door, I turn around, my back to him as I continue changing. I'm just about to pull my top from last night over my chest when I look up into the mirror above his dresser, seeing his eyes open and on me. We lock gazes for a second before he closes them, a smirk on his lips as he pretends to be asleep again. I hastily pull the shirt down the remainder of my top half, feeling my cheeks burn.

It was different last night as it was dark, and I was slightly under the influence.

Gnawing at the inside of my bottom lip, I make my way over to his bedside and whisper, "I'm going to get going. I'll see you in class on Monday." Just as I turn around, his hand grabs my arm, tugging it roughly and pulling me on top of him.

Our lips are nearly touching as he says with a huskier voice, "you forgot something."

I quirk an eyebrow at that. "And what would that be, Draco?"

He groans lowly, his lips grazing mine as he says, "say my name again, Jo."

His breath is hot; his tantalizing scent is overcoming my senses again as I whisper, "Draco."

With this, he presses his lips firmly onto mine, sweeping his tongue in my mouth immediately as he crushes my body closer to his. He brings his lips off mine to bring them down to the spot just below my ear. I let out a gasp as he softly bites at my earlobe before bringing his lips up to mine.

His hands trail up my shirt, setting every centimeter of skin he touches ablaze with heat. I break away from the kiss, mumbling out, "Draco...I—"

He lets out a, "hmm," before trailing kisses down my jaw slowly, making my insides heat up in delight.

"Draco...I need to—I need to go—" I barely can get out the words as he sits up more, pulling me more flush against him as I'm sitting on his lap. He continues to kiss down my neck; I can feel his hardness through the comforter to which I let out a breathy gasp.

He lets out a soft chuckle before bringing his lips back up to mine with more intensity. If I don't get off him soon, I'll never leave. I pull back one last time, his eyes are clouded with lust-driven passion.

"Draco. If I don't go now, I'll never leave," I admit.

He gives me a confused look before saying, "then don't." He tries to kiss me again but I lean away before his lips can touch mine, letting out a sigh.

"Draco...I really need to get going. I have homework and lots of studying to do."

He groans at that, leaning his head on the bed's backboard as he looks up towards the ceiling. "Merlin, Jo...you can do homework another day."

I begin to slip off his lap but his hands grip my sides tighter. Looking him in the eyes, I say, "I'd like to actually get all Outstandings on my O.W.Ls this year, so I have to." His grip lessens on my sides, so I'm able to completely get off his lap. "I'm sure you have homework and things to do too."

He furrows his brows at this. "No. I already had a couple Ravenclaws do my Charms, and I finished the rest yesterday." He pouts a bit, pushing his bottom lip out as he turns his head to the side away from me. "You're seriously choosing homework over me?"

Rolling my eyes, I say, "some of us have to work harder than others to do well in school." He lets out a huff in response, slowly getting up from the bed.

"You're really going to leave me like this... again?" His eyes drift down his pants, making me do so as well. I see the hard-on before placing a hand over my eyes. "Stop being prude... you're much cheekier than you let on."

I take my hand off my eyes, feeling my cheeks flush.

"Perhaps."

I glance over at the clock on his wall, noticing it's almost quarter to eight. Most people will be getting up soon, so the sooner I leave, the less people I have questioning me.

"I gotta get going, Draco. Maybe next time I can help you out." I wink cheekily as I hastily open the door.

The last thing I see is Draco's look of annoyance before I close the door and rush down the hall towards the Slytherin common room. Once I'm in the common room, I'm relieved to only see a couple people, thankfully passed out still on one of the sofas.

My relief dissipates as I hear a familiar smooth voice from one of my sides. "Well good morning, Libby. Fancy seeing you still here."

I sharply turn my head, looking at Blaise with wide eyes.

"Oh—um—good morning, Blaise. I—uh—best be off now," I stammer out, slowly backing away from him and towards the stairs leading to the Slytherin common room exit.

He, thankfully, stays in place, watching me as he says, "What were you doing in the Prefect suites? I know Parkinson wouldn't be kind enough to let you stay in by her so that leaves—"

"I really must get going! Lots of studying to do—you know, with all the O.W.Ls lurking around the corner!" I exclaim out, finally making it up to the exit door. I smile and give him a small wave—to which he returns with a laugh—before fully walking out into the main Dungeon hall.

Placing a hand on my chest at that close embarrassing call with Blaise, I hurry my steps down the corridors, towards the Hufflepuff common room. I have to get there before Hannah, or anyone else for that matter, sees me.

Unfortunately, luck is not on my side today. Once I step into the common room both Hannah and Susie look at me with wide eyes; clearly shocked to see me doing the "walk-of-shame."

I pretend I don't see them as I hustle towards the staircase to the Hufflepuff Prefect suites.

"Oh no you don't! You get your arse right back here, Miss Cheeky!" I hear Hannah yell across the room at me, causing me to stop dead in my tracks.

Shoot, shoot, shoot, is all I mutter in my head before slowly turning towards them.

I give them a hesitant smile, seeing Hannah is already up in her seat, as well as Susie, both are hastily walking over towards me.

Hannah swings an arm over my shoulders, whispering in my ear, "you're going to tell us what you were up to." She then brushes my hair away from my neck before continuing with, "—and who gave you that little love-bite, hmm?"

I shrug her arm off my shoulders as I try to look at my neck for the supposed hickey on my neck, having not remembered Draco doing that at all last night or this morning.

She lets out a laugh, Susie giggling beside her. "There's nothing there, but now I know you were off with a boy last night."

I feel my cheeks warm, feeling like an idiot for falling for that.

Sighing, I look up at her with a defeated expression. "Alright...you got me. But can we have this conversation in more privacy?" I glance around the room, seeing some of our housemates giving us curious glances.

Before she can respond though, I hear someone call out my name harshly. "Libby! I must have a word with you right now!!"

I glance over my shoulder to see Zach strutting over towards us with his typical sour look. He's still in his clothes from last night, and by the smell of him, he has not showered either.

"Um, do you two want to head up in my room—" I look over at my two friends who only nod in response before making their way up the stairwell to the Prefect suites. Averting my attention to Zacharias, who I really don't want to talk to especially after last night, I ask a little too harshly, "what is it?"

He lets out a scoff, narrowing his gaze at me more. "You seriously have the nerve to talk to me like that, especially with everything I know?"

My stomach sinks at this. "What do you mean, Zach?"

"Flirting with Malfoy the whole night, you taking part in the duels, and acting like a whore the whole evening. You also slept over—probably shagged Malfoy, or Zabini—or both. I wouldn't put it past you." He says lowly.

I clench my fists at his cruel words as I spit out, "H-how dare you! As if you can talk...weren't you trying so hard to get with one of the fourth year Slytherins? Or was that my imagination? Oh! Let's not forget how you got carried out of the party too! How embarrassing! I can't wait to tell—"

Zach hastily placed his hands over my mouth, shushing me with wide eyes. "That's what I need to talk to you about. That must stay between us—"

I take his hands off my mouth, retorting with, "along with a majority of the Slytherins."

"But it won't necessarily leave their house. Slytherins don't branch out and gossip with other houses. Hufflepuffs, on the other hand, do, so I'll need you to keep your little mouth shut about it."

I roll my eyes at his demand. "Alright."

I'm definitely going to tell Susie and Hannah.

He narrows his eyes more at me. "Not even to Hannah or Susie. I don't need Hannah spreading it around the whole bloody school."

I begin to walk away as I say, "I can't make any promises."

Before I'm out of earshot, I hear him retort with, "and neither can I."

His words cause a wave of nausea within me. He wouldn't actually spread cruel things about me... would he?

I mean, Zach is quite an arse at times, but I've never thought of him being that big of an arsehole.

Regardless, it's not like people would really listen to him. It's only Zach...

Once I make it to my room, I see Hannah and Susie sitting on my bed with eager faces, ready to learn of my rendezvous with a certain platinum-haired Slytherin.

"Alright, now start from the beginning of the night," Hannah states, her eyes full of curiosity.

Taking a deep breath, I grab my desk chair and face it towards them before taking a seat. I hesitate whether or not I should tell them—and by them, I mean Hannah.

She's my friend, and I've left her in the dark for too long.

"Well, let me recap over some important events that caused me to be invited to the Slytherin party," I start, causing a squeal of delight from Hannah, as well as Susie. I know she's heard most of it, but she's pretending to not know much for my sake.

...

After I finish telling them the little moments with Draco, him tutoring me, the moment at the Malfoy Manor Christmas ball, along with Luna catching us snogging in the halls—which both the girls thought was hilarious—I begin to tell them about the Slytherin party.

They listen eagerly, faces full of shock at the dueling tournaments part or the night as well as the game of 'truth or dare.'

"So Malfoy took his shirt off because you said no one wants to see it anyway? Oh my Merlin!!"

"I don't think I've seen him without a shirt on... was it nice?"

I feel my cheeks burn as I say, "um—"

"Oh it was! Look at how red her face is getting!" Hannah squeals, glancing at Susie as they both giggle. I throw a pillow at Hannah who manages to catch it with a smirk.

"I haven't even gotten to the good part yet!"

"There's more?" Susie exclaims, a mix of excitement and worry in her features. Hannah looks like she's on cloud nine. I swear, the girl lives for exciting and dramatic stories like this.

I continue talking through all the dares and truths. They frowned when I brought up Pansy's nasty remark about my virginity, and laughed hysterically about my teasing Draco and dirty talking Goyle. Hannah was crying from how hard she was laughing.

The one dare that took the cake was when I dared Blaise to kiss the prettiest person in the room. They were both absolutely stunned he kissed me.

"What? He kissed you??" Susie shrieks out with wide eyes.

"He's a good kisser, right? I've had daydreams about him being a good kisser, you know." Hannah leans her head on her hand with a dreamy look as she says this.

"What about Neville?" I ask with a smirk.

She perks up at his name; a blush already on her cheeks. "No boy can replace my Nevy...but, I just know Zabini is quite the romantic and a good kisser. I also heard Cassy—you know, the sixth year Ravenclaw that is the main soprano of the choir?—talk about how great of a snogger he was last year."

I nod along, a little surprised at her words. Then again, I can see Blaise with a student older than us. He's got charisma that could land him anyone.

Susie leans further on her hand that's propped up as she asks, "so, what happened after the game?"

"Yeah! Where did you sleep?" Hannah adds in with a wiggle of her eyebrows, knowing damn well where I had slept for the night.

"After dancing a bit...I was going to head back, but Draco said it would be a bad idea and suggested staying in his room."

"Of course he did. The horny little bastard."

"Hannah!" Susie exclaims out, while I laugh out loud.

Hannah isn't wrong.

"I said what I said. Now, continue Libby," Hannah says while crossing her arms more, leaning back onto the backboard of my bed more with a smirk. Susie is just shaking her head at our very blunt friend.

"Well, he set up a bed on the floor—"

Susie clasps her hands in front of her chest, letting out an "aww!"

"—for me." Her face falls immediately into a frown while Hannah lets out a laugh.

"I am not surprised at all." Hannah is still smirking while Susie has sort of an angry face. I'm honestly not sure because she can't really look angry...like ever. She's just too sweet.

"And here I was about to call him a gentleman..."

"Anyways...after changing into some nightwear—"

"—who's pajamas did you put on? Draco's matching satin set with his initials embroidered onto it? Is it black or dark emerald?" Hannah butts in, eyes glimmering.

"H-how do you know he wears pajamas like that??" I manage to splutter out in shock.

She's spot on.

"Wait...seriously? I totally made that up! That's so bloody funny!" Hannah bursts out, and we all begin to laugh more at her contagious snorts.

"He actually let me wear his old Quidditch jersey to bed...and then we went to bed. The end!" I say quickly, not really wanting to add on about what we did prior to falling asleep. It's embarrassing to say...or maybe that's my prudeness shining through.

Hannah throws a pillow at my head, making me let out a yelp.

"What was that for??"

"What was that for??" She mocks me. "I know you two did not just fall asleep! I need all of the details! The snogging, the cuddles, the caresses! I need it all, Libby!"

"I'm honestly fine with leaving it up to my imagination," Susie says, her cheeks already rosy. I just know the thought of me sharing a bed with a boy is just too much for her.

"Well...we did kiss...a lot. I may have taken my top off and things got heated—oh!—he also called me irresistible, which was surprising since he's not one for compliments—"

"YOU TOOK YOUR TOP OFF OH MY!" Susie belts out, covering her face. "Libby!!!"

"Ooo la la!! I am so impressed and jealous!"

"Okay...I think that's enough. I'm really tired and need a good nap before diving into my notes..."

Hannah lets out a dramatic sigh. "Alright...I won't prod you anymore...you do need rest because I'm sure Draco tired you out—"

Now I'm the one throwing the pillow at her face. "Hannah!"

We all burst out into a fit of giggles as I finish up my story—telling them about my brief encounter with Pansy and Blaise—before they leave me to rest and study.

After my nap and many hours of much needed studying, I can't help but to feel excited for the next few days to come; even with Umbitch and all of the added stress of the O.W.L.s coming up.

And it's all because of that damned Malfoy.
