--BlackLight POV--
I walked back from the library to my cave, it was late at night. I yawned stretching my wings. I entered my cave I shared with Orion, I snickered at the sight I saw, Diamond was laying on his chest asleep, Orion asleep as well. Their breaths were synchronized in and out with a 2 second break in between. I wondered what would be the best option, I decided to let them figure it out in the morning. I went to the hammock and settled in it. I pushed against the wall for it too swing, it started to sway back and forth, I closed my eyes listening to the squeak of the hammock and the breaths of the dragons below, and I fell asleep.

I awoke with Orion now sleeping face first on the ground, I guess Diamond had left a little bit early. I hopped out of the hammock and landed by him, I tapped his shoulder and he mumbled
"Uh? Uhm, what?
I laughed and said helping him up"C'mon lover dragon, let's go get some breakfast"
He sighed and followed me to the prey center, he had some fruit while I had a cow. I turned to him picking stray pieces of meat out of my teeth and said
"So, how'd you sleep?"
"Fine" he grumbled
"You and Diamond, are quite the pair"
"N-no! It's not! Why would you think that, me and her would be!" He spluttered, his face turning red
"I just thought it was a thing now, because you fell asleep with her, look at the stars with her, so romantic"
He was now strawberry red, not a very good color on a Nightwing he said
"It was one time, she requested that I stay, and where were YOU the entire time, staring into Starfish's eyes perhaps?"
This time it was my turn to blush, I said
"First off, I went to grab a scroll to read because I already finished the other one, secondly, she asked for my help on the timeline Webs assigned us, it was a plead for my assistance" I said in a-matter-a-factly way
He snorted and said to me sarcastically with an eye roll
"Right, she was a Dragon in distress"
"Exactly, took the words right out of my mouth"
Orion was about to say something but was interrupted by the gong ringing three times I said to him
"C'mon let's go, grab a fruit or something to eat on the way"
He grabbed an orange and hurried after me. Today it was herbs and healing with Clay, I was relieved because Clay never passed out homework. I would have a free day today. We learned about how to treat a puncture wound. I decided to go meet my mother about how I can control my powers. I started to fly towards the rainforest, I was in my own thoughts so I didn't see the dragon coming towards me. I collided head on with the dragon. I righted myself and look at the dragon and I stared into the eyes of one of my best friends I hugged her and said
"Butterfly! What are you doing here? I thought you were helping your family over at Pantala.
She responded with a smile
"I know, but mom said I had worked enough and said I should come visit you, and so I was flying over to your hut then boom I ran into you"
"Well, I am glad you are here! It is going to be so fun! Let's go tell Mother"
I was so happy, it had been such a long time since I had seen her. We basically grew up together, but since we established a connection link, I haven't seen her since. We arrived at my hut and I entered. I yelled and said
"Mother! I'm home! We also have a very special visitor!"
Moon came out of the room to our left she saw Butterfly and ran over and gave her a hug. She said to her
"Butterfly, it has been too long, where is your Mother? Is she ok"
"Yeah, she's okay, in peak physical condition thanks to you. She wanted to visit but there is still lots of work to do"
"Okay then, come in, come in, I have sone herbal tea if you want it"
"That would be lovely thank you" she said walking inside. She really had grown in the time she was gone, she is more confident, strong, and beautiful. Who ever wins get her heart is a lucky one. I followed her inside, we sat at the living room table, as Moon poured a cup of tea for Butterfly. Moon finished and said to Butterfly
"I apologize for Qibli not being here, he is very busy working for Queen Thorn"
"That's okay, I just came to have a break and for some fun" she responded
"So, what's the news, how is life?"
"It is very peaceful now that the war is over, the SilkWings are building a Court House and were establishing a new democracy. Mother is helping construct plans for a palace in the forest."
"Anything else, a companion perhaps? Moon said coyly
"Mother!" I protested
Butterfly blushed and said
"Yes, his name is Olliander, he is part of the forest tribe, I call him Ollie"
Moon smiled and said
"How nice, BlackLight you should find someone as well, i mean your both practically the same age, if she can you can."
I growled and said
"Mother, you're embarrassing me"
Butterfly laughed, and Moon smiled as well trying not to laugh, I looked over at Butterfly and said to her
"You still know your way around? You are probably very tired from the flight here, you should rest" I knew it was a pathetic lie, but she looked into my eyes and noticed that their is a private conversation I wanted she said
"Yeah, it was kind of tiring, I'm going to use the guest room, is that okay?"
Moon looked up from her cup and said
"Hmm? Oh, yes perfectly fine"
She left the room. I turned back towards Moon and said
"I need your advice on how siphon out minds."
She picked up her cup and said into it slightly muffling her voice
"Why do you need to know? You have skyfire."
"I know but I want to listen to some minds without blacking out every time, I want to be like you, and spot stuff other people can't and save the world, I want to use my powers for good, so what do you say, will you teach me"
"No"

Oh my gosh that took like 6 hrs to write, 1150 words, btw this is after my first story, where they are going to the Pantala, that already happened so this may contain spoilers for that story.
