Lizzie POV
"Do you have to leaveee?" Joel asked.
"I've got some early meetings tomorrow," I said as I headed towards the door.
"Goodnight Liz!"
"Goodnight love."
I spread my elytra and began to fly towards the ocean. Its wasn't too long of a fly between mine and my husbands empires which I was grateful for but it was still a pain to fly at night as it was dark and there were sometimes phantoms. Flying helped clear my head and distracted me from the problems I was dealing with, giving me a moment of peace.
Too soon my empire and the corruption came into view. Everyday it only got worse and now it seemed as though the blue and white were out of place and not the red vines. I had been lucky as the corruption hadn't ruined my empire as much as the others but it was still affected my empire.
I landed next to my seabling's embassy and say down. I really didn't want to deal with any of this. I wanted to spend time with my husband doing simple things like making flower crowns or curling up on the couch go watch a movie. But in the past month or so it had felt like those things were childish shit.
I was disrupted from my thoughts when I heard movement inside the build. No one should be in my empire especially at this hour. I drew my sword and cautiously approached the build.
I stepped inside looking around for what could have when a figure dropped down from the ceiling and tackled me to the ground. I kicked them in the stomach and cut their arm, trying my best to free from their grasp. A second figure walked in and hit me in the head with the back of an ax.
"Nighty night~" was all I heard before I passed out.
Joel POV
I paced back and fourth, continuously checking my watch to look at the time. Lizzie's never late why isn't she here yet?! Its been twenty minutes what could have taken her so long? She hasn't even sent me a message!
I took a deep breath to try and calm myself and messaged the server group chat (not really the server group chat because we didn't add Sausage and Joey in it because they're corrupted at the moment but that's besides the point).
<Smallishbeans> Has anyone seen Lizzie todya?
<FWhip> Nope
<Smajor1995> No, sorry.
<PearlescentMoon> Me neither. If you're looking for her she probably just forgot about her plans while feeding her axolotls
<Smallishbeans> Thanks Pearl
<PearlescentMoon> np :)
I sighed and sat down. Pearl's probably right I'm just overreacting. I opened a book about terracotta and began to read to distract myself.
Lizzie POV
I woke up to a skull splitting headache. It took me a few minutes to remember what had happened. I had flown home from Joels then someone came and- wait where am I?!?
I opened my eyes and realized I was in a corrupted cell. All of my items including my elytra were gone and my limbs were chained to the wall. I tried to move my arms to my sides but the chains held me down.
"Oh looks like fish girl is awake," a demonic voice spoke.
I looked up and saw Xornoth standing in front of me. He was grinning madly as he walked closer.
"Let me out," I demanded, glaring at the demon.
"Oh you're talking back, guess I'll have to teach your a lesson." He stepped towards me and grabbed my arm, proceeding to bend it in a unnatural way. I cried out in pain, but no one was their to hear my screams besides Xornoth.
He stepped back, smirking. "Let's hope you learned your lesson," Xornoth laughed evilly and punched me in the nose before walking out of the room.
He had definitely broken my nose and had probably broken my arm but it felt like there was pain everywhere. I could do nothing but sit there in pain and hope someone would find me.
3rd Person POV
It had been five days since Lizzie had last been seen. Joel had searched her empire but found to sign of The Ocean Queen.
This weeks anti corruption meeting had rolled around and it was taking place in the Prisma Palace. Most of the emperors had arrived already but Lizzie was still nowhere to be seen.
Once Gem, the last emperor invited, had arrived Pix decided to speak up. "Has anyone seen Lizzie today?" a chorus of nos was heard.
"Come to think of it, when was the last time anyone saw Lizzie?" Scott asked. The emperors didn't respond, realizing no one had seen the queen in a while.
"Well the last time I saw her she was leaving the Matral palace..." Joel mumbled.
"When was that?" Shelby asked.
"Five days ago." The room went silent. No one has seen their friend in almost a week.
"Let's split up into pairs and look for Lizzie," Pix said and everyone nodded as they walked to partner up.
In the end the pairs were Katherine and Shelby, Scott and Jimmy, Gem and Pearl and a trio consisting of FWhip, Joel and Pix. They agreed to meet back up in half an hour.
Katherine and Shelby looked around the axolotl tank, finding nothing.
Gem and Pearl searched the villager houses but didn't see the axolotl hybrid.
The trio went and searched the palace with no luck. They had to stop searching after 20 minutes because Joel started to panic. FWhip and Pix sat with Joel until he calmed down then proceeded to head back to the meeting room.
"Any luck?" Gem asked but they all shook their heads. Scott and Jimmy ran into the room.
"W-we think be know where L-Lizzie is," Scott said, out of breath.
Pearl POV
"Wait really?" I asked and they nodded.
"Follow us," Jimmy said as he took of towards Lizzies embassies.
He landed next to the embassy he had built for his seabling, everyone following.
"Well guess we can't sugarcoat this but..." Scott started.
"We think Lizzie's been kidnapped," Jimmy said shakily as Scott pointed to the embassy.
The door was off its hinges and there was blood and corruption inside the build.
"Oh shit..." I mumbled. "Well what are we supposed to do now?"
"It's time to look for her."
Lizzie POV
I sat in the corner of the cell curled up in a ball. Xornoth had undone the chains when he had injured me to the point where I couldn't escape. I had no idea how long I had been there but it felt like ages.
I learned not to talk or make noise or the torture would be worse. The only things he said to me besides taunts was that I was stuck her because my book of prophecies was too powerful. The only people I had seen were Joey and Sausage when they came to torture me but that was it.
"What a lovely day it is today," Xornoth said as he walked in. I stayed in my same position, not bothering to look up.
"Stand up," he ordered. At first I didn't move, but once he kicked me I stood up while gripping to the wall. I used to think it was impossible to feel this much pain but everyday it got worse.
Is anyone going to come help me?
Joel POV
After the meeting we had all decided we were each going to search different parts of the corrupted empires. FWhip and I were assigned the Mythland dungeons. We searched it from top to bottom, finding nothing.
We were about to leave when I saw something strange. Behind a few corrupted vines the was a hole in the wall.
"What's that?" I questioned out loud. FWhip came over and stood next to me.
"No clue," he replied. We cut down the vines and began to walk through the dirt tunnel.
Eventually it split off into two directions.
"I'll go left and you go right, okay?" FWhip suggested. I nodded and we went our separate ways.
The tunnel seemed to go on forever but at last I could see the end. It opened up into a small 4 by 5 meter cell with the only light being a bit of sunlight from a small window a good 20 meters above me.
I saw an unconscious person in the far left corner with many wounds and seemingly broken bones. They had pink hair and axolotl gills.
"FWhip!" I called down the tunnel. "I found her!"
Not even a minute later FWhip ran into the cell. He saw Lizzie passed out on the floor and gasped. Joel picked up his wife and the two climbed up to the top of cell. FWhip broke a hole in the wall and they flew out towards Katherine's empire.
FWhip called the other emperors and told them Lizzie had been found and they all made their way over to House Blossom.
Lizzie POV
I woke up in pain but it wasn't as bad as before. And it wasn't as cold as the cell it was... comfortable?
I opened my eyes and saw that I was in a bed and all of my injuries were bandaged up. I sat up, wincing at the pain.
"Oh don't sit up," someone said as they entered the room. I looked up and saw Katherine as she handed me a potion.
"It will help you feel better," she said, smiling softly. I took the potion and drank it and the pain eased.
Katherine message someone on her communicator and soon enough Joel entered the room with a look of relief.
"Thank god you're okay," he said, hugging me. I flinched and he quickly let go.
"S-sorry," I mumbled. The only person who had touched me in the past week was Xornoth and he had hurt me. Tears came just thinking about the demon.
"Are you okay," Katherine asked gently placing a hand on my shoulder.
"N-no," I said through tears. Joel came over and gently hugged me, trying not to scare me. I didn't flinch, instead I hugged back, happy to be with my husband.

Joel POV
It had been 3 months since the "incident", as I call it. Life had gotten back go normal, or as normal as it can be after the traumatic event. Everyone knew nothing could be normal after Xornoth corrupted everything, even when it ended.
Gem had managed to trap Xornoth in a crystal so he was no longer a threat. Joey and Sausage were uncorrupted soon after, finally being able to live their lives. The corruption itself had taken days to clean up but it was worth it.
I had to live in The Ocean Empire for a while to help my wife heal, physically and mentally. Of course, neither of us minded.
Lizzie physical health had been getting better. I had taken a while to heal her broken leg, arm, and cracked ribs but she was able to walk on her own. She still had to be careful to not hurt herself again but things were looking good.
Lizzie's mental health was a bit of a different story. Kathrine had set up some therapy sessions with Lizzie which helped. Though it only lasted a week, there was a lot of trauma to be dealt with. Even with this she had nightmares every night about the event, often waking up shaking or crying. I made sure I was always there to comfort her and she appreciated that greatly.
At server meeting she couldn't talk to Joey and Sausage without having a panic attack. No one blames them for what happened but it was hard for them to stay friends with the axolotl hybrid.
Overall, things were getting better. There were a few bumps here and there but we pushed through and kept going. The road of recovery was a long one but with everyones help the end was reachable.
I'm retiring jeez this was long. There not probably not even going to be many points for this-
