For Fantasy and SciFi, we read a bunch of Viking stories, because that is one of the bases were Fantasy came from. We had to draw a picture or two for every story we read.

J. R. R. Tolkien studied a lot of Viking lore, and things like that. As you can see in the picture, he "Middle Earth" from Vikings! :)
