Lily POV

I was in my common room with Marlene and Dorcas chatting about random people in our class when suddenly the conversation switched.

“So I heard you and James are friends now?”  Marlene asked me

“Maybe… Well, Yes”

“Any particular reason?” Dorcas said wiggling her eyebrows

“Ew, no way Dorcas!”  I said jumping up off the sofa. The Marauders choose that moment to burst in through the portrait-hole.

“Shut up Padfoot, I do not li-” James stopped when he saw me “Oh hi Lily” Sirius burst into laughter. Remus stifled a giggle.

“Lils. We’re going to go now. Okay?” Marlene said

“Okay Mar, Bye.”

“Bye Lil”

“Bye Dorky”

“Don’t call me that” Dorcas said, groaning.

She and Marlene climbed out of the portrait-hole.

“Err, Lets go Padfoot, Wormy…” Remus muttered “See you James”

It was just me and James left in the common room now.

I sat down on the sofa and took out my book.

James sat awkwardly opposite me.

“So, err Lily… how are you?”

“Um… I’m good I guess.”

“I was wondering if maybe you possibly might consider the possibility going to Hogsmeade next month with me. Maybe? Only if you want to…” James said all at once

“Yeah, I would love to…” I said smiling to myself “But it’s not a date… Just as friends… right?”

I saw James face fall. “No of course, just as friends”

“Well I’m going upstairs to bed” I said standing up and closing my book “See you in the morning”

I had a horrible dream. I dreamt that I was on a boat and it was sinking and there was no one around to help me. I called for my parents but they didn’t come to help me. Just as it sank the dream changed.

I was in a dark room, like a dungeon, there was mould growing on the walls and it was all damp. I was chained to the wall with big metal handcuffs that hurt my wrists, I turned around to see Severus in the corner and I begged him to help me but he just ignored me. Then the dream changed again.

I was in a completely white room.  There were three corners. In one corner Petunia was standing with her arms crossed, frowning at me. In the next corner, Severus stood with his wand pointed at me, a menacing look on his face. In the opposite corner stood James and the Marauders with Marlene, Dorcas, Mary and Alice, all smiling at me. Suddenly a voice said into my head “CHOOSE”. I didn’t understand, what was I choosing? Then I realised… “No.” I said clearly “I won’t”. Then I woke up with a start.
