Lily POV

I woke up to someone shaking me awake.

I opened my eyes to see... James.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaah" I screamed in terror, "What are you doing in here?"

"I've come to tell you to get dressed, there's only 30 minutes left of breakfast, you slept through your alarm"

"What? Oh my god! I'm going to be late!" I shrieked noticing that he was already dressed "Why didn't you wake me up earlier?"

"Because you looked so hot... I mean, Peaceful when you were sleeping. I didn't want to wake you up."

"Oh... well uh, thanks I guess James"

He didn't move "Um James" He perked up.

"Yes Lily!"

"Can you go out, I need to change."

"Oh right. Well errr... Sorry" He said backing out the door. "I'll wait for you downstairs"

"You don't have to..."

"I want to" He said closing the door behind him.

I quickly changed into my school robes, when I was finished getting ready I trudged down the winding stairs leading to our common room where James was waiting for me.

"Thanks for waiting" I mumbled

"No problem, I mean we will be spending most of the year together"

"What?" I said angrily "If you think that I'm going to go out with you then-"

"I meant our head duties..."

"Oh um right yeah sorry" I said embarrassed. The situation was excruciatingly awkward.

"Well if you're ready we can go to breakfast now, there's only 15 minutes left."

"Okay, let's go."

When we reached the great hall we walked over to the Gryffindor table and sat down with Marlene, Dorcas, Mary, Sirius, Remus and Peter.

"Lils, where have you been?" Marlene asked

"Overslept, I'm sorry guys."

"Looks like you guys had fun!" Sirius joked

"Shut up Black!" I snapped

"Ooooh, touchy" He retorted

"Be quiet Sirius" James snapped

"Sorry James Mate"

"Lily, here's your timetable" Marlene said, passing it to me.

"Thanks Mar.... Where's Alice?" I asked

"Over there" Dorcas said pointing to the other end of the Gryffindor table.

I turned around to see Frank and Alice kissing

"Well they are definitely having fun" Sirius laughed

I glanced at my timetable. I had Potions first.

"Anyone have Potions now?" I questioned

Everyone looked at their timetable

"No" Mary said

"I haven't either" Peter said "I didn't get the grades to continue with it"

"I've got Potions now with you Lils" Marlene said

"Ooooh Same" Dorcas exclaimed

"So have I" Remus said

"Oh... me too" James confirmed

"Well didn't that just make my day" I muttered

"And so have I" Sirius shouted for everyone to hear

"And it just got even worse" I muttered to myself

"Come on you guys were going to be late for Dear Old Sluggy" Sirius sang, jumping up and skipping out the hall

"Well someone's in a good mood" Dorcas exclaimed and we all followed him out the hall.
