We need to fix this
All boys were in the big bed that night, cuddling together to keep each other warm. It should have seemed like any normal spooning night, however, only half an hour had passed and Jungkook couldn't sleep because of one little problem.
Jimin was mumbling in his sleep. Some incoherent, some not. Other than the words that spat out of his mouth, Jungkook found it so disheartening when he saw the corner of his eyes become wet during his sleep. Softly, Jimin would cry out 'sorry's' and sniffles would happen every now and then. Jungkook didn't know why until now, everything about Jimin seemed so normal...
He must have held everything in so well for this long he just... couldn't hold it in anymore.
Jungkook tried his hardest to calm him down that night. Stroking his hair and whispering sweet nothings in his ear, Jungkook couldn't help but smile softly at the memory that flooded his mind; the first time Jimin had done this for him was one of the best nights of his life.
"You're doing so well, Jimin..." He pressed his nose against the crying boy's cheek, stretching his arm over the other's chest to press him in closer. "Please stop crying."

The next morning, Jimin and Hoseok were the ones who were out of bed when Jungkook woke up. Yoongi was there right beside him, curled up in a little ball, with his head peeping out of the blankets like a cute kid. He had an urge to wake him up – just as he always did to anyone who was still left in bed with him. As he was still very clueless about waking up the beast, Jungkook scootched closer and booped the snoot.
At first there was nothing, so he booped again. And again. And again. He continued until he got frustrated because he didn't wake up, so he just grunted in annoyance and grinned, knowing one way to wake him up.
With that grin still stuck on his face, Jungkook slipped his hand under the sheets and grabbed a particular familiar long friend.
Almost immediately, Yoongi's eyes flickered open and stared directly into Jungkook's soul.
"Good morning!" Jungkook chimed.

Having Yoongi angry pound him in the mattress that morning, they'd both made it in the kitchen after a shower with the smell of delicious breakfast filling their nostrils. Yoongi seemed a little happier than normal as Hoseok passed him his coffee, while Jungkook seemed rather unimpressed and had his hand holding his lower back as he sat down.
"Good morning, love birds."
"Good morning." Yoongi smiled to Hoseok. He sipped his coffee in delight, giving a glance over to Jungkook, who was glaring back at him.
"You guys are all brutal in bed..." Jungkook leaned his head against the table and groaned.
"Oh – Yoongi is really skillful in bed, isn't he?" Hoseok giggled as he slurped up his own cup. Yoongi simply smirked against the rim of his, sipping afterwards like a cocky bastard.
Jungkook rolled his eyes, glancing to Jimin with a look of pleading. As he opened his mouth, only then did he realize Jimin wasn't in the kitchen with them. He looked around the little room and absently mumbled, "Where's Jimin...?"
"Jimin..." Hoseok started, leaning his elbow against the counter, "He's in the bathroom. His hangover and stomach got the best of him, or so he says." The older vampire lost his smile for a little moment. "Can you go check on him for me? He's not saying anything to me."
Jungkook nodded silently. Yoongi stopped drinking and started looking between the two in slight confusion. "What's going on?"
Hoseok waved Jungkook off. "I'll tell you but you'll have to be quiet, okay?" Yoongi nodded and watched as the younger boy walked off to where Jimin was.
Jungkook wasn't sure what to think of all of this; it was so surreal since... Since Jimin wasn't the type to show off his problems. Jungkook had never seen him so troubled ever since he had gotten Jungkook back. And the last time he helped him was through sex, because he was really bad with words. Of course he knew the sex wouldn't really work on fixing anything...
With knitted brows, the younger boy hadn't realized he was already at the door to the bathroom. There wasn't a lot of noise behind it, which either meant Jimin just finished vomiting or he was lying to Hoseok so he could leave.
With a hesitant little knock against the door, Jungkook hummed. "Hey, Jimin."
At first, there was nothing but more silence. He knocked a few more times, yet Jungkook had thought perhaps something went wrong and he was hurting when there was still no noise – he was even ready to barge into the room if he needed to. Jungkook was most definitely ready to help save his boyf—
The door opened.
Jimin was nowhere to be seen, though... So naturally, Jungkook gently pressed his hand on the wooden object and pushed himself into the room. He softly exhaled with relief when he noticed Jimin sitting on the closed toilet lid with his upper body crouched. However he was staring down at his phone, as if it was more interesting than what he was supposed to be feeling right now - as Hoseok had mentioned.
"Jimin?" A soft click was heard from behind, signalling that Jungkook had closed the door. He didn't hear any response from the older so he frowned and walked closer to him, "How are you feeling?"
Finally, after a slight delay, the vampire lifted his head with an intense inhale. A content looking smile grew on his face and he turned off his phone. "I'm feeling better now that you're here."
Jungkook chuckled nervously; usually he'd feel cutesy about it but... the sentence felt forced right now.
"That's good..." And they both fell silent. Jimin looked away, his smile completely gone as Jungkook puffed his cheeks out and averted his gaze the other way. Agh... this was really hard. Jungkook had to give full credit to Jimin, who had to deal with Jungkook's whiney ass every day. Seriously, Jimin thought he wasn't good enough and yet after everything Jungkook did for Jimin...
More moments of silence had passed and it almost felt impossible to say anything anymore. Jungkook knew he was supposed to help; he hadn't realized until just recently how bad of a pep talk person he really was...
"Yeah... I'll head back to the others, now, okay?" Jimin finally broke the silence with a clear of his throat. He stood up and smiled, leaning his hand at the back of Kookie's head and proceeded to press his lips against his forehead. "Good morning, babe."
And just like that, he was gone.
"God damn it, Jungkook... You need to try harder than that."

And he had tried. The next day, when things weren't as hard to swallow, Jungkook had tried. With Jimin seeming to never want to strangely bring himself closer to Jungkook, the younger boy would occasionally try to bring up the topic but no words left his mouth.
"Jimin?"
The older vampire hummed, although he didn't move to look to Kookie. Jungkook knew it was hard for Jimin when he felt disheartened right now, so he really tried not to take it in as an attack.
"... Uh..." He would always choke up here. "... Did you want a cookie?"
At first, Jimin didn't say or do anything. "It's alright, baby boy." But a quick little shake of his head made Jungkook feel like it was still lingering in Jimin's mind...
The dog had come in and stared at Jungkook with its tongue lolling out; very overjoyed to see his Daddy. Although that shenanigan did not last very long as he crossed eyes with the vampire; the dog growled and barked as always, as if trying to tell him something that Jungkook didn't notice to see.
Jungkook watched, ready to tell him to stop barking, since it was sort of annoying and Jimin didn't like it (and also he would say random stuff back at the dog that made Jungkook roll his eyes). As he opened his mouth, the dog lowered its ears and took a step behind. At first, he was confused at what was happening, since the dog never did this... Jungkook glanced at the vampire, who seemed to simply stare back at him with his alarmingly blue eyes.
He didn't seem to be doing anything wrong and yet the dog started walking to him, only to press his snout against Jimin's calf... Jungkook stared in complete awe. They had never shown affection for one another this strongly ever since they'd met.
... What was he feeling that made even the dog feel sympathy for the vampire?

After the third day, Jungkook went to see Hoseok for advice.
"It didn't go very well, did it?" Hoseok asked, although he already knew the answer.
"No... I just kind of freeze up. It's so hard trying to think of what to say!" Jungkook retorted. And it was true; Jimin was a mysterious boy, especially when his true problems surfaced up. Or maybe that was just Jungkook overthinking. "He's in the bedroom right now, right?"
"Yeah." Hoseok hummed. "You know he isn't as hard to talk to as you think he is."
"What? Really?"
"Well, yeah. Jimin is practically like you!" Hoseok smiled.
"Like me?!" Jungkook said with a slack jaw.
"Oh yeah- that poor sucker used to act exactly like you when I first met him." He looked down for a moment and bobbed his head from side to side, "Well more or less, anyway."
Jungkook remembered what kind of hell Jimin had went through; he must've had even worse shyness than Jungkook at one point in time.
"Anyway, for someone like you... Just imagine how you want to be comforted. Usually, it's the same case scenario as anyone else. So whatever you have had said to you - or wanted people to say to you during a time like this - just tell it to Jimin."
"That kind of sounds easier said than done..." Jungkook narrowed his eyes.
"Eh, it's not as hard as you think. Kind of just comes to you in the spur of the moment." Just as Jungkook felt like he couldn't do this, Hoseok patted his shoulder. "Baby, I know you didn't come from a family who showed love or cared for you, so I know it's a lot more difficult for you."
Jungkook bit his bottom lip, looking down along with a troubled expression. Hoseok simply chuckled and wrapped him in a big, warm hug. "You don't have to do this. I can always do it."
But Jungkook didn't want that. He wanted Jimin to know he could lean on another shoulder that wasn't Hoseok's. He wanted Jimin to know that he cared. "Hoseok..." The elder vampire hummed in response. "... I want to help him."
Jungkook didn't see that Hoseok had pulled an incredibly sad smile while staring at the wall. "That's my boy."
