Jungkook was in a trance. He couldn't move even if he wanted to. Up close, without an ounce of makeup, Jimin looked even more divine and smelled like soap, fabric freshener and mild cologne he vaguely recognized as one of the brands Jimin represented.
"You're late," Jimin chirped with a seductive smirk. There was no bite in his voice though. He leaned on the doorframe, blocking the view of the interior of his home. Not that Jungkook had time or will to look past Jimin.
He wasn't late, though. He jumped inside his car and drove like a bat out of hell to get here in record time. In his defense, Jimin didn't specify a time. Oh, even stopped to buy flowers.
Flowers.
Where are the flowers?
His mind went blank when his gaze fell on Jimin's exposed collarbone. Suddenly, he remembered all the reasons he fell for this man. A man he kissed and fell even deeper than he thought was possible. His head was in the clouds and Jungkook didn't plan to come down any sooner.
"Jungkook?"
"I love you."
"What?"
"Huh?" Jungkook blinked.
Jimin's smile was amused and expression pleased. He shifted on his feet, straightening and running a hand down his t-shirt as if he was trying to smoothen it. "So you love me?"
Jungkook nodded vigorously. He couldn't even bring himself to feel ashamed about it.
"Since when?" Jimin's voice was so soft that Jungkook would have missed the question if he wasn't so tuned to him. He wasn't meeting his gaze, which was so unlike Jimin. The pink flush coating his cheeks looked wonderful.
"Serendipity comeback stage," he whispered as if he was still in a dream. "I was there at the TV set when you pre-recorded. Saw you coming out of that giant bubble, wearing white. Never been the same." Words spilled out of his mouth as if someone just opened the floodgates.
Jimin gasped. He looked as if he was awe struck. "That was five years ago."
Jungkook nodded, pride filling his chest and his smile growing wider. He'd been a simp since forever. He didn't know when his feelings had turned into a deep yearning for the other.
"I like you too," Jimin admitted. "Saw your yearend performance seven years ago. Started following your music and career."
"Oh, my God!" It was Jungkook's turn to gasp.
"Fell in love when you sang Euphoria during your first world tour. I was there in Wembley Stadium and you flew right over my head, singing, 'You're the cause of my Euphoria'. I was scared for you but was also excited? Seeing you up there, enjoying your performance did something to my heart."
"That was five years ago."
Jimin groaned. "Don't hurt me anymore than I'm now." He pivoted on his heel and walked inside. Jungkook took that as an invitation and followed, toeing off his shoes at the entrance and slipping his feet into a pair of house slippers Jimin left outside of the shoe rack. "I've been trying to grab your attention for years only to watch you begging Namjoon hyung to fuck you on your timeline. Ugh!" Jimin pulled his hair. "I fucking hated that."
What?
Does that mean he was cock blocking himself all this time?
"I'm an idiot," he whispered.
"Of course, you are!" Jimin hissed, whirling around to face him and closed the distance between them with three long strides. "Bet you wouldn't have done anything if I hadn't lured you today to Yoongi hyung's dressing room."
Jungkook looked down embarrassingly. "You're way out of my league," he mumbled. "I didn't think you'd look at me twice."
Jimin snorted. "Only if you knew." He narrowed his eyes. "No more thirst tweets on timeline unless it's meant for me."
Jungkook's eyes widened and he nodded. His eyes almost popped out of his sockets when Jimin unexpectedly grabbed his dick through his pants.
With a warning squeeze, Jimin said. "Your family jewels are mine starting from this moment. If I ever find out it so much as twitched for someone who isn't me, I'll castrate you. Understand?"
Jungkook stared at the sincere expression on his face and believed every word. His cock shamelessly stirred and he knew Jimin knew it too with how his expression changed. He looked even smugger. He nodded and Jimin removed his hand with another squeeze. Oh, how much he wished to feel those hands without any restrictions of their clothes.
"Good. Now that's settled. Shall we proceed with our date?"
"Date?" Jungkook blinked again, following Jimin's line of vision to see the candles and flowers littered on the floor to welcome him. His breath caught in his throat. If his heart could explode out of joy, it would.
"Why? You don't wanna wine and dine?"
"I do. Yes. I wanna wine and dine," Jungkook quickly agreed.
"Follow me, then."
"Ah, flowers?" he mumbled, once again remembering the flowers he forgot in his car in his hurry to get to Jimin.
"Yeah, I got flowers. You don't like it?" Jimin asked.
"No. I forgot the bouquet I bought for you in the car," Jungkook sheepishly admitted, fidgeting with his fingers. "I-I should go get it."
Jimin turned to fully face him. "Or you can stay and get something else." He winked.
That wink alone sent Jungkook floating through a layer of clouds. This man...this fine specimen of a man was going to be the death of him. And Jungkook didn't mind it one bit.
