The Bet
The Bet where Jimin has three months to get the always-silent-in-the-corner Jungkook in his bed.
Here I come with a short story :) Advance hugs and sowwie for hurting you...I woke up with this in my head and had to get it out.

Jimin walked down the dorm stairs with a wide smile that screamed another victory. He did it. He did it again.
His clothes were still wrinkled and the top two buttons were missing from where Jungkook had ripped them apart from earlier. Who knew the silent nerd had it in him?
Jimin whistled as he approached his car. His hair was still tousled and his lips were swollen. He was sure if he looked at the mirror he'd spot a few hickeys and nail marks on his back. He put the phone on its designated holder, video calling his friends.
"Oh, fuck!" one exclaimed as soon as he saw him. "Guys, guys, he did it."
"Of course, I did." Jimin smirked and shrugged. "Not gonna lie. That was the best sex I've had in a while. He drained my balls dry."
"Damn that good?" another exclaimed.
"The best," Jimin admitted.
Too bad, it'd have to end today, but he certainly wouldn't mind hooking up with Jungkook once in a while. He hadn't felt this satisfied in a while.
As he drove away, he failed to notice the pair of eyes watching him from the dorm windows.

"So what's next?" Jimin asked, cocking his head to the side as he eyed his friends. The money he won was heavy in his pockets.
"I'm not betting with you again," Alan grimaced. "That's the third time I've lost my pocket-money to you."
"Not me either," Brennan agreed. "We should really stop betting with him. You know he lives for this shit."
Jimin shrugged. The word losing was not in his dictionary. Whatever he touched he won. He had to win. Be it the games or in life. It had been this way since he was young.
"Who knew Jungkook was this easy?" Alan griped. "The guy doesn't date, doesn't party. He doesn't even have that many friends. The only time he hangs out with someone is for his study sessions in our library or the cafeteria."
Jimin grinned. "No one is immune to my charms."
"I don't think it's that simple," Brennan grunted. "I still hate you for taking my PS4 though."
Jimin was running on high spirits upon winning yet another bet. "Whatever. See you later guys."

Jimin paused when he noticed Jungkook waiting for him by his car. Shit. They hadn't broken up yet. Cursing internally, he approached Jungkook with a soft smile. He always hated this part.
"Hey," he greeted.
"Hey," Jungkook greeted back with a shy smile, his cheeks tinting pink. An endearing sight.
Jimin blinked almost feeling bad for having to do this. "Listen, Jungkook, I..." He took a deep breath. It was nothing new. He'd done this multiple times. "I hate to admit this but..." He scratched his neck. Fuck. Why is this hard? "You know about my reputation, right?" He shrugged with an awkward laugh. "Whatever we had going, it has to stop. I can't see you anymore. It's nothing personal. It's just—"
"A bet, I know." Jungkook smiled sadly.
Jimin's eyes widened. "You knew?"
"I've always known." Jungkook looked down at something in his hand.
Jimin was speechless.
"We went to school together," Jungkook continued. "I've known you since middle school, Jimin. You can say you were my crush."
"Oh."
"I don't know when I fell in love with you though."
"Jungkook..."
"I know," Jungkook cut him off. "I know you don't date or do commitments." He laughed without humor. "I went out with you because I knew this was the only way you would notice me, talk to me." He pursed his lips, looking away. "It was nice, Jimin. Though you did all that to get me into your bed, I enjoyed it. It felt like I was living a dream." He laughed again and this time his eyes were filled with tears. "This...this is for you."
He handed the parcel he was carrying with him.
"I wanted to give this to you as thanks. You were a great company. Thanks for treating me well." He looked up with a smile. "Whoever you might date for real in the future is one lucky bastard."
Jimin's mouth opened and closed with no words coming out.
"I'll get going then." Jungkook took a few steps back, clasping his hands in front of him just like he always did when he was unsure of something. "Thanks for everything, Jimin."
He pivoted on his heel, pulling the hoodie on top of his head, disappearing among the throng of students, leaving a baffled Jimin alone in the parking lot.
Jimin wordlessly climbed inside the car, already feeling several eyes on him. Because it wasn't always this smooth. Some just took it in a stride, some threw words and called him names while the others cried and begged. This...this was new.
He stared at the parcel in his hands. Ripping off the beige cover, he was stunned to see a beautiful portrait of himself. For the first time in life, he felt like shit as his gaze trailed over the portrait, guilt heavily weighing his heart.

Jungkook didn't come to college the next day or the day after. Jimin texted him but received no response. He tried to call only to learn Jungkook's phone was switched off.
His throat constricted. The guilt was eating him from the inside though Jungkook said he knew about the bet. It was a foreign emotion to Jimin who only took pride in his ability to bend anyone and everyone to his will to get his way. So it felt like whiplash for some reason.
He went to the dorm and knocked at Jungkook's door but no one opened it.
"Hey, excuse me." He stopped one of the students came out of the room two doors down the corridor. "Do you know where Jungkook is?"
"Oh, he left already."
"Left?" Jimin frowned.
"Yeah, he is one of the students who got selected for the Corentin Internship this year. He must be in France now."
What?
The student walked past him, leaving him stranded in the middle of the corridor.

Earlier...
"Thank you."
Brennan smiled sadly at him. "Are you gonna be okay?"
Jungkook nodded. "I'm more than okay." He forced a smile. He'd be lying if he said it didn't hurt. It did like it always did whenever he saw Jimin with someone. It even hurt a lot more than before now that he knew what kind of lover Jimin was. His short time with Jimin only increased the longing and deep yearning in his heart.
Brennan sighed. "Here. I can't take this." He handed him the money.
"What? No, you—"
"I'm sorry, Jungkook." His neighbor smiled sadly. "It was always fun to bet with something and watch someone lose or win." His jaw clenched. "We never considered the feelings of the other person involved until now." He pointed at the money. "It didn't feel like a great deal when you came to me with that offer, but now I feel like shit. I feel like I'm partly responsible."
Jungkook shook his head, ready to intervene but Brennan stopped him.
"Nothing you say will make me feel good about what I've done before to the others." He looked away. "I hurt a lot of people without considering the consequences of my actions. Keep it, Jungkook. And thank you for opening my eyes. I will try to change my ways."
Jungkook watched as he walked away, staring at the money in his hands.
Love was mysterious and worked in different ways. He was hurt but in a good way. Jungkook had loved Jimin for years, silently pining from the sidelines as he watched him move on from one to another. His crush didn't know he even existed. He wasn't on Jimin's radar and even if he was, there was no way Jimin would go out with him.
He tried to forget and move on, but he couldn't just stop loving Jimin even if he knew Jimin would never reciprocate his feelings.
So when Jungkook learned he was chosen for the internship program and he'd have to leave Seoul soon, he was devastated in a way. The internship was everything he wanted, but he couldn't be happy. It meant he could no longer see Jimin. Even when he knew Jimin wouldn't return his affection, just seeing him every day and knowing that he was happy and smiling was enough for him.
But when he knew even that wasn't an option, he did the only thing that came into his mind. He was reckless when he approached Jimin's friend Brennan who lived on the same floor as him with his offer.
Convincing Brennan wasn't hard. Jimin fell even faster. A bet was all it took for Jimin to finally notice him. He went to his packed bags, putting the money away and opening the one that contained all his treasured items. He picked the dried bouquet Jimin bought for him on their first date. A smile stretched his lips.
He didn't regret a single thing. The memories were still warm and fresh. They were beautiful. He'd always cherish them in his heart.
I'll always love you, Jimin.
