"would they just shut up already..?" Mitsuba whispered to himself as he hears whispers around him, yet..still clear for him to hear.

"I heard that Mitsuba Sousuke is very girly and cocky".

"he looks like a freak"

"stay away from Mitsuba, he's very stubborn"

Mitsuba let out a soft sigh, He didn't like all those whispers at all...Its been 2 months already since all those rumors started and yet, He's still not used to it.

His heart ached as the whispers echoed in his mind, trying to just let it go and not show that he cared or even heard them.

He ran to the old school building where no one can bother him, where he can go to an empty classroom until class starts.

Mitsuba sobbed a little for he knew no one would help or comfort him anyways, that's what he thought though.

"Hey, why are you crying?"

Mitsuba jumped in shock, 'its lame traffic safety earring!..'

"oh..its just you."

"that just sounds like you don't what to see me ay Mitsuba?" Mitsuba didn't really want to be bothered by anyone especially him, but he needed someone to help him... he needed Kou.

"what do you want lame-ass traffic-earring?"

"Didn't I just ask why you're crying?, I'm trying to help if you have a problem ok?. That's rude if you still call me that."

"you know you should get used to it already, besides that nickname is a fact"

After that it was awkward and silent, Mitsuba wiped his tears while Kou decided to sit down beside him.

"So..?"

Kou starred at Mitsuba and it went to complete silence,, Mitsuba couldnt just ignore him like that and had no choice but to just tell him.

"Fine I'll tell you!"'
He sighed a little and took a deep breath,
"Its just that...I just hear whispers of people talking about me like they dont like me. Im having a hard time trying to fit in with everyone but how can if people just spread stupid rumors about me, even though I..look like I dont care it just....hurts..y'know?.."

"Ohh so thats why you're crying!"

Mitsuba glarred at Kou
"Can you not act like that explains it?"
"Ah! Sorry.."

Mitsuba looked away from Kou, he couldnt face him because he felt embarassed for crying like that, just then...he felt Kou's hand on his shoulder and when he turned his head to him he saw Kou's gentle and caring smile.

"Wh- why are you smiling creepily like that?!"
Mitsuba moved away a little bit,
"Hey im not smiling creepily! But im sorry for you to go through something like that...but ignore them Mitsuba!"

'huh..?'

"They're stupid to gossip like that! Are they robots or something?. You cant let them make you fall into their cruel words!.But...if you feel bad again,, if you feel lonely again."

Kou held Mitsuba's hand, put on a wide smile on his face and spoke these words:

"Know that im here! I'll be here no matter what! Because we're friends right?"

Mitsuba's eyes sparkled and he felt this positive aura around Kou.

"...."

"Pfft what a lame speech!"
"WANT ME TO COMFORT YOU OR NOT?!"
Mitsuba then turned his big smile from snickering to a small smile,

"But thank you anyways..."

Awkward silence filled the room until Kou broke it.

"Well that was a first.."

Mitsuba looked at him confused, "first of what?"

"Its the first you've opened up to me..."
"Well..of course! Didnt you say we're friends?"

Mitsuba starred at the ceiling, he didnt hink he'd get any friends at all...especially one thats a ghost. But here he is, in a classroom, sitting on the floor, and talking with a blonde ghost.

As they look at eachother smiling, they talk for a while until Mitsuba's classes start.

'friends...'
