JJ's POV:

Kie and I made this intense eye contact and neither of us broke it. Some might call it eye fucking. I don't know what it was but it was pretty fucking real. It was the perfect opportunity to kiss her, but she made the no pogue on pogue macking rule years ago and I didn't want to break that.

Of course, I wanted to mack Kie. However, I didn't want my stupid impulsive decision to kiss her once destroy our whole friendship. I cared about her way too much to risk losing her.

Both John B and Pope have kissed her and it was pretty ugly for them after it happened. Kie didn't talk to John B for weeks after it happened and she was furious with Pope because he told her that he loved her. I wasn't going to put myself in that position that my friends got themselves into.

I've always flirted with Kie and it's harmless and she'll flirt back. It's kinda our thing but now here we are in this moment and I quickly broke the eye contact and changed the subject.

"So how'd things go closing the Wreck last night with Taylor?" I asked as Kie hated working with Taylor

"Oh my god, you're idiot" She said rolling her eyes

"What?"

"When are you going to kiss me?" She flat out asked

"Never plan to" I admitted

She looked confused and asked, "You don't want to kiss me?"

"Oh, I totally want to kiss you... I wanna do a hell of a lot more than just kiss you but I won't because of the rule. I can't risk it changing our friendship like it did between you and John B and you and Pope"

She understood now and said, "Jayge, the rule was never made for you... I made it up because I didn't want this exact thing happening. I didn't want to end up kissing all three of you because the only one I've ever wanted to kiss was you"

"Really? I thought the rule was made up because you were scared I was going to kiss you the way I'd flirt with you"

"You don't follow any rules, I figured you break this one by now. I would've bet money Pope would never break it and John B ehh I didn't think he would either... But of course, this is the one fucking rule you follow"

"Only because I care about you and I respect you"

She gave me a smile and said, "I appreciate that, but please break the rule before I go crazy"

"Are you asking me to kiss you, Carrera?" I teased

"Maybe I am" She smirked

"You promise this isn't a trick?"

"No, just shut up and kiss me"

I didn't waste any time as I closed the gap between us. The first kiss was short and appropriate and it meant something. We broke apart slightly before leaning back in and going for it. This kiss was messy with tongue and passionate, and our hands were wandering around each other's bodies.

We broke apart after an intense makeout session and we were both so happy. She whispered, "Let's do that again sometime"

"I'd like that" I smiled back at her

It was like perfect timing because John B and Pope both just got back from the store and I went and started the fire.

"What'd we miss?" Pope asked

"Kie and I totally macked when you were gone" I said telling the truth but I knew they wouldn't believe me because I hadn't crossed that line and Kie always pushed us away

"Maybe in your dreams" John B joked back

"Yeah, sure" Pope said not believing it

We spent the night out by the fire and we were all having a ton of fun. It started to get late and Kie said she was going to head in for the night. She got to about the porch when she turned around and asked, "Jayge, you coming?"

John B and Pope both looked at me as I got up to follow Kie inside. It was in that moment they both realized that I wasn't lying about earlier: I followed Kie into the spare room where we locked the door and started making out again, but this time it escalated from PG-13 to R.

The next morning, Kie put on my t-shirt and went to get coffee from the kitchen. John B and Pope both looked at her and asked, "So you and JJ??"

"Yeah, me and JJ" She smiled returning to bed with me

She put her coffee on the nightstand she she laid next to me as I pulled her into my arms. We laid there together for a while before I said, "I love you"

"I love you too" She whispered back before moving to kiss my lips
