JJ's POV:

Kie's pregnancy was flying by and we decided to keep the gender a secret until the birth. We ended up telling Mike and Anna when Kie was around four months along. We went to their house and Anna answered the door and she already looked annoyed to see us. Kiara asked her to get Mike and when he came to the door, Kie simply said, "We wanted to tell you guys that we're going to have a baby"

"A baby? You are nineteen years old" Anna said shocked

"Yes, we are having a baby. We wanted you to hear it from us before the town started talking about it. We might be young, but we are in love and we have enough money to support this baby. We are adults and we love baby Maybank and nothing you say or do will change that" Kie said

"Well then, congratulations," Anna said going back inside

Mike said, "We just can't..."

He closed the door and Kie started crying. I wrapped my arms around her and she said, "I never want our kids to feel the way our parents made us feel"

"I promise you that will never happen. I love you" I said kissing the top of her head and I smiled because she said kids, meaning she wanted more in the future

We went home and told the pogues about how it went and they all hugged Kie. The pregnancy continued to fly by and of course, Kie hated the last two months of the pregnancy because it was so uncomfortable and she claimed she was fat. I thought she was even more beautiful. It was late at night when Kie felt like she was cramping but she thought maybe they were Braxton hicks and we went to bed. However, around 4 am her water broke and we headed to the hospital.

All the pogues were awake and waiting for me to text updates. We found out that Kie was already four centimeters dilated and of course, my hot hippie girlfriend was badass and went for no epidural. I rubbed her lower back, she went for short walks, bounced on a birthing ball, and then she was finally dilated enough to start pushing.

I held her hand and had my other hand moving her hair out of her face. She was in so much pain but a few minutes later we heard our baby cry and Kie was smiling.

"Congratulations on your baby girl" The nurse said holding our little girl up

She was immediately placed on Kie's chest as she wanted to wait to cut the umbilical cord and have her golden hour. I was crying and so was Kie. We were parents to a beautiful, healthy baby girl. I leaned down and kissed Kie's head and said, "I'm so proud of you and I love you"

"I love you too" She said kissing my lips

"Welcome to the world, Ellie Elizabeth Maybank" I said the girl's name we agreed on

Ellie was the name that I liked and her middle name was after Sarah. Kie kissed our daughter's head and she said, "Mommy and daddy love you so much"

After the golden hour, I got to cut the umbilical cord and they weighed and measured our daughter. I put her first diaper on with the help of a nurse and then she wrapped her up in a blanket and I finally got to hold my little girl.

I looked down at the small baby in my arms and I had tears in my eyes again.

"I love you, baby girl... I promise to always protect you"

We spent the next few hours just admiring our daughter and then the pogues came in to meet her. Sarah was in tears when she found out we named our daughter after her. Kie spent two days in the hospital and then I drove my girls home. We got home and I carried the carseat inside and put it on the floor and took our daughter out. Kie and I sat on the couch with our baby girl and I said, "This finally feels like home"

"I have everything I ever wanted, right here" Kie said looking at me and the baby

I kissed her and said, "I never knew how badly I wanted this until right now, everything I'll ever need"

We sat there both looking at Ellie as she slept. We were going to be the best parents to our little girl. I put my arm around Kie and whispered, "I love you"

"I love you too" She replied
