Kie's POV:

I was going to college in California and it was my sophomore year. I was home for Christmas and I had been hanging out with the pogues. I also had all of January off and my best friend, Maya was coming to visit.

I introduced her to the pogues and she fit right in with us. I took her shopping one day on the main island with Sarah and we had a fun girls' day and then a sleepover.

We took her out on the HMS pogue and tonight we were going to a Boneyard party. I noticed that Maya had been hanging close to JJ for the last two days. I know it shouldn't bother me but it did.

We were heading back to California and Maya hugged JJ goodbye and he hugged me and I whispered, "I'm going to miss you. Please don't do any stupid shit when I'm gone."

"I promise that I'll be good. Text me when you get back to California." He said holding me a little longer than he should have but I wasn't complaining

We flew back home and I was constantly texting JJ and talking to him and of course John B, Pope, and Sarah. I missed them so much.

I walked into my house and put my backpack down. I had finished my finals and it was finally Spring Break.

I was just going to hang out in California and enjoy the beach. I went upstairs and I heard JJ and Maya laughing in her room. I opened the door and said, "What the fuck?"

They were just hanging out but why the hell would JJ be here? He was laying on her bed and she was sitting across from him. He was my best friend. I was so pissed that I just walked away slamming the door. 

I went to my room, dropped my stuff off, and went out to hang out with one of my other friends. I couldn't be there with JJ about to have sex with my best friend. I stayed out pretty late and when I got home, JJ and Maya were gone. I went to bed and I woke up early the next day and went for a run and then worked out. I went and got smoothies for lunch with another friend and then I went surfing.

I saw JJ on the beach with Maya. He was teaching her how to surf. They both saw me and JJ called my name and told me to come over. I walked over to them and Maya said, "You were out last night, what were you doing? We missed you"

"I was hanging out with Jake," I said lying but I just said it and I couldn't take it back. I was with a friend, but her name was Callie

"JJ was just teaching me how to surf. Wanna join?"

"No thanks, I'm good," I said getting out of the water with my board and leaving the beach

I went back to my room and grabbed stuff and I spent the night with Callie. She convinced me we needed to go out and party. I didn't want to, but she insisted. I had nothing to wear so we were looking at Callie's clothes. I love Callie, but her style was so not mine. She always looked super pretty and could pull off these things, me, not so much. 

She found me a cute dress and told me it looked amazing but I was nervous to wear it. It was a short black dress that had a slit in the leg, cut-outs in the dress, and was super low cut. We did our hair and make-up and we went to the party.

It was some fancy drink in my hand and I spotted JJ and Maya. Great, of course, they were here. They walked over to us and Maya hugged me and said, "You look hot bestie!"

JJ was still looking at me and my friend, Jake was with us. 

"Dude..." Jake said to get JJ to stop looking at me and I grabbed Rayn's hand

We walked away and I started dancing with Jake, he was teasing me by whispering in my ear and just slightly kissing my neck. Suddenly, JJ walked over and he grabbed my arms and pulled me away from Jake. He held my hand and lead me to my car and he said, "We're leaving.."

"No, you can leave. I'm going to stay. Fuck you for thinking you can tell me what to do." I yelled back at him and Maya appeared

"Come on, Kiara. Let's go."  Maya said getting me in the car with JJ

"Can you take her home? I'll drive my car and meet you there." Maya said smiling at JJ

"Yeah.." He said getting in the driver's seat and he started driving. Except, he was not going home. He was driving somewhere else.

"Where are we going?" I asked annoyed

JJ didn't respond, he just drove. He took the long way back to my college house and he got out and I followed him and said, "Please just take me home or I'll drive myself. I had three baby sips of a drink. I'm totally fine to drive. Besides, Maya is going to need you to fuck her again."

"What?" He asked like I said something crazy

"Please, I know there is something going on between the two of you. You fucking flew out to come to see her. Now you're teaching her how to surf, going to parties, sleeping in her bed. You could have told me you liked my best friend." I yelled almost in tears

"I don't like Maya! I fucking came out here to see you. I missed you so fucking much Kie. I saved every penny I had just to afford the damn plane tickets out here to tell you in person that I love you! I love you, Kie." He yelled back but calmed down after he said it

I was frozen. I felt so bad and he said, "And that dress tonight, you look beautiful all the time but that dress you're wearing. You look sexy as fuck and I can't control myself anymore and pretend that I don't love you."

"So you didn't have sex with Maya?"

"Hell no... It's you, Kie. I only want you." He said 

I looked at him and I kissed him. We were making out and I said, "I love you too, JJ."

He picked me up and carried me inside as we continued to make out. We walked by Maya who was totally pissed that it was me with JJ and not her. We went to my bedroom and we had sex. It was amazing and we weren't quiet at all. 

After we laid in my bed and I said, "I love you and I don't want you to leave tomorrow."

"Neither do I, but we have the rest of tonight and tomorrow morning." He said kissing me

The next morning, Maya was pissed at both of us. I talked to her and told her I've loved him for years. She understood and said she was just mad that we were so loud. JJ and I went surfing before he left and then we came back to shower and I drove him to the airport. 

"Thank you for flying out here. I'm sorry I was acting like such a bitch. I'll see you in a month and then we have all summer to spend together."

"I'm telling the boys that I met a smoking hot girl in Cali and I'm dating her and that she's coming to OBX this summer. I'm not telling them it's you until you show up and I kiss you in front of them and then I'll tell them this is my smoking hot girlfriend." He said smirking 

I laughed and said, "You better make sure the kiss is worth the month wait."

"I promise. I love you, please don't find a Cali guy you like more than me."

"Not possible. I love you, JJ Maybank."  I said kissing him goodbye

"I love you, Kie." He said as he left 

A month and a week passed by and I was home for the summer. I arrived at the chateau and JJ told the boys his girlfriend was coming over today.

"Kiara, you're back!" Pope said smiling

I ran to JJ's arms and he picked me up and kissed me. He made sure the kiss was amazing. It was intense, passionate, and said I loved you. We broke apart and JJ said, "Guys, this is my smoking hot Cali girlfriend."

"Damn, Kie you could've done so much better.." Pope said annoyed

"Shut the fuck up, there is no one else I want.. I love JJ and I don't give a shit about the no pogue on pogue making rule. I'm making JJ.." I said kissing him

"See ya later, we're going to go do more than mack." JJ said as we ran to my car and I drove to his house

We laughed and talked about how shocked they all were. John B was happy as he high five JJ, Sarah always knew we would get together, Pope was the one who would take forever to get over it, but we didn't care.
