Couldn't hide what they meant to say.

One very hot afternoon on Poguelandia, the Pogues found themselves playing Truth or Dare, not that they had anything else to do these days.

Excitement rippled through the group, and JJ and Kiara exchanged knowing glances, their hearts racing more than usual. They did that a lot recently. They always found themselves looking at each other but being stuck on the island just made the stares more obvious and longer. 

With a mischievous grin, Kiara volunteered to go first. Her eyes scanned the group, contemplating her choice. Finally, her gaze landed on JJ. 

"Jayj," she began, "truth or dare?"

JJ smirked. "I mean, do you even need to ask." he replied proudly, bracing himself for whatever Kiara had in store.

A sly smile played on Kiara's lips as she announced her dare. "Big jump," her finger pointing the highest hill of the island. 

"No one's done it yet." She knew him too well to know he would do it without even blinking twice.

JJ's eyes widened in surprise but he smiled, he wasn't one to back down from a challenge. He rose to his feet and started climbing. Of course, he jumped. He felt so alive doing it. Once back in the water, the group cheered him on, Cleo and Sarah still surprised he did it. Pope and John B lifted him up and as they put him back on the ground, Kiara hugged him.

"Surprised I did it?" he laughed.

"I would if you didn't." she laughed back ruffling his blond hair while they head back to sit with the others.

As they were back continuing the game, Kiara watched JJ intently, her heart fluttering with admiration for his determination. 

Now it was Sarah's turn. She looked at Kiara, trying to decipher her thoughts. "Truth or dare, Kie?" she asked interrupting her best friend while she couldn't stop staring at JJ.

Kiara finally looked at Sarah. "Dare," she said, her voice steady.

A mischievous glint danced in Sarah's eyes as she plotted her dare. "I dare you to kiss JJ," she declared, "30 seconds".

A hush fell over the group as they held their breaths, waiting for Kiara's response. She felt a rush of emotions flood through her, but in that moment, there was no hesitation. She got up and moved toward JJ, her heart pounding, and gently pressed her lips against his. JJ was surprised by Kiara not declining the dare but he immediately kissed her back not questioning it.

The Pogues started counting excited but when they reached 30, JJ and Kiara didn't stop.

"Okay guys, dare's over." Pope said a bit upset but he tried to not show it too much.

But the world around them faded into the background as their lips moved in perfect sync, their bodies gravitating towards one another. It was a kiss filled with longing, tenderness, and the unspoken words they had kept hidden for so long.

As the seconds turned into minutes, the group watched in awe, realizing that something extraordinary was unfolding before their eyes. JJ and Kiara were lost in each other.

Eventually, they reluctantly pulled away, their foreheads touching as they caught their breath. They realized what just happened when Sarah broke the silence.

"Wow that was something." she laughed watching JJ and Kiara blushed.

"It's just a dare, Sar." Kie responded embarrassed. 

"Yeah, just a dare uh?" John B added with a mischievous smile.

From that day forward, JJ and Kiara never talked about it but their mind couldn't stop focusing on each others lips wishing to taste them again. 

Their game of truth or dare had revealed the truth they knew for a long time now but had been too afraid to confront.
