Mike never got on to Kie or JJ for the fight. He also chose not to tell Anna that their daughter and her boyfriend got into a fight with one of the most well respected men at the clubs children.

JJ apologized but Mike didn't care as long has he kept his mouth shut. At least for now so that she wasn't stressed out on Easter.

JJ went back home to the chateau for the night. Him and Kie had agreed to tell each other everything that happened with Aaron and Molly, tomorrow at the party. but for now, they just wanted to go to sleep.

Kie went to bed thinking about it. That was the scariest moment of her life. For a split second, she really thought JJ had cheated on her. She couldn't even imagine the pain she would go through if he ever actually did.

The next morning JJ went over to Kies house early to help get ready for her family to come over. He knocked on the door and Anna let him in.

Mike was in the kitchen preparing food for everyone.

"Is Kiara awake yet?" JJ asked, noticing that she wasn't there

"Uhm- she should be" Mike said, looking around "will you go see"

JJ nodded and went up stairs to go check on her. He laughed a little, walking up the stairs as he thought about mikes question. Of course he would go see. What kinda of a dumb question even was that.

He lightly tapped on her door and he slowly opened it and peaked inside. He looked over at her bed and didn't see her.

"Kie?" He asked

"In here" she hollered from the bathroom.

JJ walked in to see Kie sitting on the floor by the toilet

"You good?" He asked and moved over and sat across from her, leaning his back against the bathtub.

"Never better" she said sarcastically

"Kie we had like three glasses of champagne" JJ laughed "since when do you get hungover that easily"

"I don't know but I'm definitely gonna barf" she said, rubbing her face. "Hey so, what.. happened at the party last night?"

"Oh well" JJ said taking a deep breath as he tried to remember everything "nothing actually happened, and nothing was going to happen. But I went upstairs and Molly was in the room I had to get glasses from. And she caught me DOWNING a bottle of champagne"

Kie laughed

"Then she was like 'what is it about you JJ'" he said mimicking her seductive voice 'what do you have?' 'You should just show me'"

Kie suddenly got up and leaned over the toilet and threw up. JJ jumped up and came next to her, quickly holding her hair back.

"Mm..you alright" he asked, rubbing her back.

She spit a couple times into the toilet and stayed there for a minute, making sure it wasn't going to happen again.

She pushed her hair behind her ears and slowly sat back down and flushed the toilet

"Lightweight" JJ teased, trying to make her feel better.

"Very funny" she said as he leaned back against the bathtub. She cleared her throat "you were saying?"

JJ laughed and continued telling the story.

"And then thats when you beat the absolute shit out of her" JJ said when he was done with the story "that was badass by the way"

"Yeaaa, I got a little mad" Kie said innocently, feeling a little guilty for hitting her.

"Hey, you were jealous, it's alright" JJ teased

"Mmm.. jealous isn't the word" Kie said

"Ehh, you Seemed pretty jealous to me" JJ teased

"More like pure rage and anger" Kie laughed and so did he

"So what happened with you and Aaron" JJ asked

"Ugh, I was cleaning up outside and he just came up to me and started getting mad since I brought you" Kie said, annoyed thinking about what Aaron did "then he basically confessed his feelings for me."

"Ew" JJ interrupted

"Yea, and then he started saying shit about you and then.. I may have slapped him" Kie laughed

"Mmm she's a feisty one" JJ teased

"Well, he deserved it." Kie shrugged

"Kooks bro" JJ said "their actually the worst"

Kie laughed, Agreeing with him.

"What's taking so long?" Mike said, since JJ hadn't come back yet and needed to make sure they weren't doing anything. He walked into her room and then checked the bathroom. He looked at the two, sitting on the bathroom floor. "What are y'all doing?"

"Just chatting" Kie smiled and JJ laughed

"Why are y'all on the floor?" He asked, thinking it was weird

"Why not on the floor?" JJ joked

Mike just looked at them confused for a minute as they kept making eyes at each other and trying not to laugh

"Come on you weirdos" Mike joked "The family's gonna be here in an hour and we need to get ready"

JJ stood up and offered his hand out to help Kie up.

They went out of her room but Kie stayed to get dressed. She went back into her bathroom after they left and threw up one more time.

She got dressed and went downstairs. She was feeling much better now and helped everyone set up.

One by one her family members started showing up. JJ was hiding candy in the eggs up stairs and Kie was greeting everyone.

"Kiara, is JJ is here???" Mason asked as soon as they walked through the door. "I have to tell him something!!"

"He is" she laughed at his excitement "he'll be down in a minute"

He finished what he was doing upstairs and came down to a room full of her family.

"JJ!!" Mason and Jamie said while running up to him

Kie had a lot of little cousins, but Jamie and Mason were the most attached to JJ

"Heyyyy guyyyss" he said, getting lower so that they could jump on him since he knew they would.

They played around for a little while and eventually went into the living room with everyone else.

Another one of kiaras aunts had showed up that he had never met before. She came in carrying a little girl. She was around 3 years old and had her brown hair tied up in a ponytail. She looked shy and held on to a stuffed animal.

Her aunt came in and everyone greeted her, but the vibes were off. They didn't talk to her like they talked to the rest of the family. JJ made his way over to her and introduced himself.

"Hey, I'm JJ. Pleasure to meet you" he said, shaking her hand

"Ohhh, JJ I've heard about you, kiaras little boyfriend, right?" her aunt said, very loudly. "Im Marissa, hi"

"And what is your name" he smiled and got down to the little girls level, who was shyly hiding behind her moms leg

She didn't say anything at first, she just looked at him.

"That's a cool unicorn you got there" JJ said "what's her name"

"cupcake" the girl said, quietly

"Well hello cupcake, my name is JJ" he said in child like voice as he pretended to introduce himself to the toy.

The girl giggled a little and then hid behind her moms leg again

"Ugh ignore her" her mother said "she's so rude when she being shy like that"

"Oh, no it's alright" JJ said standing back up "I was shy when I was her age too"

He went back into the living room and sat with Kie on the couch

"JJ guess what" Mason whispered, coming up to him on the couch

"What?" JJ whispered back, matching his secretive tone

"I got married" he whispered

"No way!" JJ said, being dramatically shocked "how was the ceremony?"

"I don't know what that means" he whispered "but I didn't get cooties!!"

"That's awsome" JJ said and high-fived him "how many baby's you got already"

Mason just laughed, getting embarrassed and then got distracted and went back to playing.

JJ looked over and caught the little girl looking at him. She got shy and hid her face into her moms arm. He made a silly face at her and she giggled a little.

He kept periodically looking at her throughout the conversations and making faces to make her laugh.

Kie caught on to this and started watching. She laughed every time he made a face.

"Isn't she adorable" Kie leaned in and said to him

"She really is" he said "what's her name?"

"Maisey" Kie smiled

"Why wasn't your aunt here last time" JJ asked

"Ugh, she's kinda the black sheep of the family I guess you could say" Kie said, disappointed "she a lowkey alcoholic and isn't exactly the best mom"

"Mm" JJ thought. He felt bad for maisey. It made since now the way Her aunt acted.

Marissa got up and went to the kitchen to get another drink, leaving maisey there by hereself. She looked around like she was scared. She didn't really know most of the people there since they rarely even showed up to family events.

"Maisey" Kie whispered, noticing that she was uncomfortable "come here" she said and held out her arms.

Maisey quickly ran up to Kie on the couch and got into her arms. Kie lifted her up and sat her in her lap.

"Are you excited for the Easter eggs hunt?" Kie asked, playfully

She nodded her head and hid her face with her unicorn

"What about cupcake?" JJ added "is she ready to hunt Easter eggs?"

"Cupcake doesn't like eggs" Maisey said, quietly, smiling

"Well there not REAL eggs" JJ said, playfully "they have candy inside of them. Does Cupcake like candy?"

She nodded her head and smiled as she hugged onto Her toy tightly

Kie and JJ stayed with Maisey as they tried to get her to talk and have fun.

"Uh-oh! Theres a look into your future, Mike" Marissa teased, looking at Kie and JJ talking with her daughter in their lap.

Mike laughed awkwardly.

JJ looked at Kie with a 'oh- this bitch really IS crazy' facial expression. Kie agreed with her eyes and they awkwardly laughed off her comment. Maisey ran back to her mom and sat next to her, but Marissa mainly ignored her.

JJ and kie sat on the couch and talked to her family for a while before Mike announced to the kids that it was time for the Easter egg hunt.

all the kids lined up at the door with their Easter baskets and excitedly waited for Mike to tell them to go.

They all went out to the porch and got impatiente as Mike explained the rules to them.

"Okay- are y'all ready!" Mike announced and all the kids screamed with excitement "3- 2- 1- GO!"

They all flooded off the porch and ran into the yard looking for eggs while the adults stayed on the porch and watched them. The parents with younger kids followed them around to help them look. Mike went out into the yard to supervise.

JJ stood on the steps and noticed Maisey still on the porch with her basket and Cupcake.

"Maisey" he said softly, getting her attention "come on" he gestured to the yard.

She shook her head no and hid half her face behind the porch railing.

"Come on, I'll come with you" he said, holding out his hand. She hesitated for a minute but then ran to him and grabbed his hand.

Kie smiled as she saw him take her into the yard with the other kids.

"Oh JJ you got her? Good. Thanks " her aunt said, sitting on the porch furniture with a drink in her hand.

JJ looked at her and just gave a thumbs-up. He didn't understand how someone could care so little about their child.

Kie went over to them in the yard and tagged along.

"Maisey!" Kie gasped, pointing out an egg "what is that??"

"Go get it" JJ said, excitedly.

Maisey ran up to the egg and grabbed it, putting it in her basket

"I found one!" She said excitedly, finally using her real voice

"Good jobb" JJ said, holding his hand out for a high five but Maisey didn't understand it. "Come on, don't leave me hangin"

Maisey ignored it and kept walking

"Wow" Kie laughed and high fived him "rejected by a three year old"

"I know right" he laughed "I'm a little offended"

They kept following Maisey around and leading her to eggs and letting her find them. She was finally starting to open up and come out of her shell around them.

She was talking and laughing and opening up the eggs and eating the candy as she went. Kie and JJ let her have as much candy as she wanted since she was having fun.

The kids found all of the eggs and then went back to the porch to count how many they had. JJ and kie walked up with maisey to the porch, and as soon as she got back with her mother, she became shy again.

JJ saw himself in her. He remembered How he'd always have to act differently around his dad. How he'd always have to tip toe around him and try not to say anything wrong, or in the wrong tone that would make him mad. He remembered how he'd have to act as if he wasn't having too much fun when his dad was in a bad mood. He had to do so much just to not get hit again. He knew Maiseys situation was different, but he could still notice a lot of similarities, and he felt bad.

JJ spent the rest of the day in the living room playing with her cousins. They were all very rambunctious and running around screaming. Except for maisey. She watched them play from behind her mother. JJ tried to get her to come join them a couple times, but she shied away.

JJ managed to break away from her cousins jumping all over him and he went into the kitchen where he saw Kie

"You alright?" He asked as she leaned on the counter with her face in her hands.

"Yea" she said, leaning up and looking at him "I just don't feel good"

"Still?" He asked, hugging her and lightly running his hand up and down her back

"Mhm" she mumbled in his arms.

"Are you sick you think?" He asked

"I don't know" Kie said closing her eyes "I've been feeling like this a lot lately."

"Do you need to go lay down?" He asked softly

She smiled and looked up at him

"no, I'll be okay" she smiled and took a deep breath.

They stayed in the kitchen for a little bit longer before going back with her family in the living room.

They stayed and talked for a while until it started to get dark and her family members started leaving one by one.

JJ noticed Marissa getting her things together as if she was about to leave

"Pssstt, Maisey" JJ whispered, getting her attention "come here" he gestured

She looked at her mom and then looked at JJ. She smiled and hopped down from the couch and ran over to him.

"I heard this was Cupcakes favorite" he said quietly, holding out a chocolate bar. "She should keep it. Just for the road, y'a know"

Maisey smiled and accepted the candy as her mom told her it was time to leave.

JJ hovered by the door as Marissa grabbed her keys and jacket.

"Your driving?" He asked, being as polite as he could in that situation

"Yea of course " Marissa said, putting her sun glasses on

"Are you sure" he asked, not trying to offend her.

"Why wouldn't I?" Marissa asked, seeing what he was getting at.

"I'm just saying.. you've had a few drinks is all" JJ said "and your kids gonna be in the car"

"Oh JJ, I appreciate the concern, really" she said as if it was no big deal "but I think I've got it covered"

JJ stood there, stone faced as he thought. Kie came up to them and started saying goodbye to her aunt

"Go on baby, give your cousin Kiara a hug goodbye" Marissa said

Maisey went up to her and Kie picked her up

"Goodbye pretty girl" Kie said, hugging her and she laughed. She put her down and JJ kneeled down to her level and held out his hand to try a high-five again

She smiled and ignored his hand and gave him a hug. He was shocked at first and hesitantly hugged her back.

"Bye Maisey" he said softly.

"Bye JJ" she said, quietly and then held out her stuffed animal.

"Bye Cupcake" JJ smiled

Maisey went back over to her mom and grabbed her hand and they walked out of the house.
