A week had passed and the pogues were finally back to normal. No one was fighting and they were just trying to get through the last few months of school.

It was Friday now, and Mike invited JJ over for dinner, which would most likely lead to him spending the night. JJ started staying over at Kies at least three times a week and Mike didn't seem to mind it at all.

They never tried anything since they didn't want to get caught, and not be allowed to have sleep overs anymore.

"Kiara, did you tell JJ about the Easter party?" Her mom asked at the dinner table.

"Oh- no I haven't" Kie said, smiling

"What Easter party?" JJ asked

"The whole family's coming over next Sunday for Easter, can you make it?" Kies mom asked "we'd love for you to be there"

"Sure, i don't have any other plans" JJ shrugged "sounds fun"

"There's a catch" Kie whispered to him

"What do you mean?" He asked

"Welllll" her mom started "the day before Easter their having a party at the yacht club. Kie can take a plus one"

"Oh" JJ said hesitantly

Kie laughed, knowing there was no way he'd want to go to that

"You still have your suit from prom, right?" Anna asked

"I- sure do" he said "I would love to go"

"Amazing" her mom smiled.

Mike laughed seeing that JJ definitely did not want to go. It was written all over his face.

"Yea, it'll be fun, right" he said, looking over at Kie

"Totally fun" she said sarcastically "I love yacht parties"

"It's only for a few hours and then you can go home" her mom said "you'll survive"

That night, Mike let him sleep over. Him and Kie walked out to the dock to watch the sunset after dinner.

"You really don't have to go if you don't want to" Kie said, holding his hand as they walked down the peer. "Those parties are painfully boring"

"You'll be there. i won't be bored." he shrugged

She laughed and smiled, looking over at him.

"Thanks" she said, tilting her head. She looked forward and tears started to build up in her eyes.

"The party at your house sounds fun though" JJ said "I miss those little munchkin cousins of yours"

Kie laughed, trying to hide her tears

"You know, last time they came over-" he said and looked at her. He noticed she was crying, wiping a tear away with her sleeve.

"Woah- Kie, hey" he said, stopping and facing her. This made her cry even more "Kie, what's wrong. Why are you crying?"

"Sorry" she said, laughing a little at herself. She felt so stupid.

"No- it's okay" he said, shaking his head confused and worried "what's wrong"

"Nothing" she said, wiping her hands across her cheeks.

"No- your crying, something is wrong" he said.

She laughed at herself again and then hugged him. He was so confused.

"I just love you" she said into his chest

"What?" He chuckled a little

"Sorry, I'm about to start my period any day now and it's just making me really emotional" she said, collecting her self, but tears kept falling out.

"Are you sure?" He asked, still confused "did I do something wrong?"

"No no, really." Kie said, hugging him again "your just sweet, and it makes me sad"

"Why does that make you sad?" He asked, a little scared

"I don't know" she started crying again and leaned her head back into his chest "I just love you"

"I love you too?" He said, kissing the top of her head and hugging her back.

She pulled away after a minute and wiped the last of her tears

"Sorry about that" she said, taking a deep breath

"It's okay?" He said confused since that was random

"I don't normally get this emotional" she sniffed

"It's fine" he hugged her again "as long as your okay"

"Okay- stop" she said, her voice breaking, pulling away since she was about to start crying again. patting the corners of her eyes with her fingers to soak up the tears before they fell.

"Sorry" he laughed lightly as he let go of her. 

They walked down to the end of the dock and watched the sun go down before heading back inside and going to sleep.

The next morning, JJ had to go to work so he left early. He didn't want to wake Kie up so he just kissed her on the cheek and headed for the door.

"JJ?" Kie said, sitting up and looking at him from the couch

"Hey" he smiled, coming back to the couch to see her.

"Where are you going?" She asked

"I have to go to work" he laughed and she wrapped her arms around his neck and stood up on the couch, hugging him.

She held on and then jumped into his arms, wrapping her legs around him and he held her in his arms

"What are you doing" he laughed, holding her up with ease

"I'm coming with you" she said in a tired voice, leaning her head in his shoulder

"Your coming with me?" He laughed "alright let's go" he said pretending to walk to the door, making her laugh

She dropped her feet on the ground but still hugged him.

"I love you" she smiled

"I love you too Kie" he said, and she looked up at him.

She smiled and lifted her chin up "I'm waiting" she said, since he didn't kiss her.

"Oh? waiting for what?" He said sarcastically, kissing her cheek. "For this?" He said kissing her other cheek.

"Not quite" she laughed as he kissed her chin

"Oh you mean right here" he said kissing her nose

"Nah, more like right here" she said, tapping her lips

"Ohh, so here?" He said, kissing her cheek again

She laughed and grabbed his head, pulling him in to kiss her. It was slow and deep and he put his hand on the side of her face as they kissed.

"Better?" She asked once they broke away

"I'd say so" he smiled and then kissed her again

"Okay, I have to go" he smiled, kissing her one more time

"Byeee" she said softly "have fun at work"

"Oh I will" he joked and then opened the door "can you come to the chateau tonight?"

"I'll ask" she said, grabbing a blanket from the couch and wrapping it around herself. "You'll be there tonight?"

"Yea everyone's coming over" he said, half way out the door

"Alright" she smiled "bye"

"Bye" he said and then shut the door

She didn't feel finished so she went to the door and went outside and ran up to him as he was walking to his bike.

"What's up?" He asked as she jogged toward him

She ran into his arms and hugged him one more time and gave him another kiss

"Okay bye" she said, turning around and walking back to the door

"Bye Kiara, love you" he laughed, waving to her as he got to his bike

"Love you too" she said waving from the porch, watching him leave.

She went back inside and ate some breakfast before going up to her room and finishing some homework.

Shortly after, her dad walked into her room to check on her.

"Hey, look at you being studious" he teased when he opened her door

"Yea" she laughed awkwardly

"Did JJ leave already?" He asked

"Yea, he had work" Kie replied

"Mm" Mike said as he slowly shut the door to leave

"Hey dad" Kie said before he left

"Yes baby?" He said, opening the door again

"Can I go over to John bs tonight?" She asked

He took a deep breath as he thought about it

"You've been spending a lot of nights over there kiara" Mike replied "you know how I feel about you being over there now that you and JJ are together"

"Okay- dad" Kie started "I don't know what it is you think we do over there, but we're really JUST hanging out. I swear"

"Mm" Mike thought for a minute "I reckon that's fine" he said with a sigh

"Thank you" she smiled
