3 years later...

The windows of a particular room creaked open like they always did on an early morning. The locks on them were very worn down as if someone had used them to go outside every day without exiting through the front doors of the mansion.

Well, that was what happened before Remus died. He always exited through the window and climbed the neighboring tree down.

But now, he couldn't step foot outside the mansion without feeling as if there was a wall or some sort of shield preventing him from exiting the building.

He could only tell what time it was. He didn't know what year it was, what month, what day, and he nearly has forgotten the names of the days of the week.

It was getting quite lonely for Remus Kingsley. He had no one to talk to but himself. He could only vandalize the mansion so many times without getting bored.

Remus sighed as he looked out of the window on the second floor of the mansion. He looked at the tree that was next to the window. Remus remembered when he would climb down it and sneak out of the house sometimes. He watched as a few birds chirped in a bird's nest. Those birds have taken refuge there a year after Remus had died.

Remus glared at the birds because they looked much happier than he was.

He wanted a way to escape. He wanted to do anything he wanted.

So did Virgil Storm.

Virgil was on his way to work. He walked, of course. He didn't have any sort of transportation to get there ever since his cousin 'borrowed' his bike and never gave it back.

That's when Virgil noticed that there was construction going on for the road on the way to his job. Virgil sighed frustratingly as he gripped his satchel strap.

'I'm going to kill him for not giving me my bike back... my legs are killing me.' Virgil thought grimly as he went in another direction.

As he was walking, he saw a large building that looked old. There were vines growing under the windows, the grass was overgrown, and some places on the building were vandalized with spray paint.

'I wonder who lived there... maybe Logan knows.' Virgil kept glancing at the building as he walked past it.

He got out his phone and looked at the time, "Ah, no! I'm gonna be late!"

Virgil started sprinting towards the building where he worked.

Once he got there, he pushed open the doors and walked up to the receptionist's desk.

"Am I late?" Virgil asked.

"Only by a minute. The boss shouldn't be that mad." The blonde woman said as she was checking her nails.

"Thanks, Circe..." Virgil muttered.

"Whatever. You're stationed with Logan and Patton this time."

"Is Mr. Kingsley out or something?"

"No, he said he was going to be in a meeting involving a new script, I think."

"Of course..." Virgil nodded.

"Also, you still owe me Starbucks," Circe said.

"I know, I know... will a $20 gift card work?" Virgil asked, pulling out a Starbucks card.

"It will, thank you." Circe snatched it from him, "You're excused."

"Why, thank you, your highness," Virgil said sarcastically as he bowed.

Virgil walked off to where he would be working. He swiped his card against the pad and opened the door when it beeped.

"Another day..."
"Another day..."
