Chapter One: To Japan, You Hellion
Chapter One
To Japan, You Hellion
The receptionist looked up as the office doors slammed open, scowling at the sight of Mr. and Mrs. Rizadon. They both stomped towards the principal’s office, nodding a hello to Mrs. Reynolds. They were on equal terms, seeing as they saw so much of each other. Their daughter, Kindoru “Jet” Rizadon, was getting brought to the principal’s office at least once a week for multiple accounts. Fighting, vandalism, swearing, disrespect, etc.
Anything that was seen as bad among the school systems, Jet did them. She’d gone through a total of fourteen schools in the two years she’s been in high school and there’s an unprecedented amount for them while she was in middle school. Whatever it was, no one knew, but it was a fact that once she went into sixth grade, she became a demon spawn.
Her parents didn’t know what to do, and this was the final straw. It wasn’t like they could ground her, considering all she did was sit in her room on the laptop. If they took her laptop, she’d use her phone. If they took the phone, she’d watch TV. If they took the TV, she’d draw. If they took her art supplies, she’d read. If they took her books, she’d daydream. They couldn’t win, considering she was unlike other children when it came to the fact that she actually used her imagination.
And it wasn’t like they could revoke her ability to see a boyfriend or even friends in general, seeing as she didn’t have any. She used to have friends back in elementary school, but as soon as she started turning into the demon spawn she gladly boasts she is, they had all abandoned her.
So now she spends her time beating up any random kid that snaps her short temper, finding sick enjoyment at hearing bones crush beneath her hands. It was a way of releasing all of her pent up anger, something that she relished in. Fighting was like a drug to her, and she was sure as hell addicted to it.
“Kindoru Jetto Rizadon!! What did you do this time?! We warned you if this happened again, we’d send you off to your uncles!” Her mother shouted, her voice causing some of the people in the main office to cover their ears and wince.
“Yeah? And?” The lazy voice of Jet droned, raising a dark eyebrow at the fuming woman and finding slight amusement in the irk marks scattered all over her head.
“And? And? AND YOU’RE GOING TO JAPAN, YOU LITTLE HELLION!” She screeched. Principal Philly rubbed at his ear with a frown, scowling at the loud woman. Jet’s dad, however, was busy texting their only other child, Jet’s younger sister by only eleven months, about how they were going to be in the principal’s office when the bell rung that signaled school was over.
“Tch. Again, and? I don’t see the big deal, considering I have nothing to miss here.” Jet scoffed, blood red eyes sparking with amusement and smugness.
Her mother’s amber eyes were blazing, however, her black hair billowing around her due to her rage. Jet took a quick glance at her mother’s hair before doing a double take and smirking. “Momma, do ya know that you’ve got gray hairs showing?”
“What?!” The older woman snapped, hands flying to her head as her fingers skimmed through her hair. She picked at the strands, finding several gray pieces and plucking them straight from her scalp with a slight yelp.
Jet snorted. “Nice job, woman.”
“Shut up! You’re in big trouble here!”
“Oh, the horror.” Jet rolled her eyes and gave a mock terrified expression before scoffing.
“Mr. and Mrs. Rizadon, this is the final straw,” Principal Philly suddenly interrupted before Jet’s mother could continue screeching, “I believe it’s time you send her somewhere for an attitude adjustment. The next time this happens, I won’t hesitate to expel her from this school.”
Jet’s parents were looking at the man wide-eyed before her dad finally got around to asking the question nagging at the two parents minds. “So….what’d she do this time?”
“Well….two students are currently in the ER, the science room is charred and I’m bringing in a trauma counselor for her fourth period class tomorrow.” The principal sighed, rubbing his temples to relieve the headache growing below his shiny, bald head.
“A counselor? What, is everyone a fucking pansy? Nothing bad happened.” Jet grumbled, rolling her eyes as she crossed her arms and slouched in her seat in front of the principal’s desk.
There was a solid smack heard as Jet’s mother connected her hand with the back of her daughter’s head. Most people would start rubbing the abused area, or at least letting out some sign of pain. But, Jet did neither as she sat there like a rock. An irk mark grew on Mrs. Rizadon’s head before she stomped away from her daughter, pulling out her cell phone and quickly dialing her older brother’s phone number.
Jet watched her with a raised eyebrow, stretching again as the bell rung, signaling the end of school. She propped her feet up on Principal Philly’s desk and smirked lazily in reply to the old man’s glare.
As Jet’s mom started talking quickly in Japanese to her brother, the door to the office opened. Standing there was Hono Rizadon, Jet’s younger sister and the second child of Hisagi and Kasai Rizadon.
Principal Philly instantly brightened at the sight of the Sophomore, knowing she was the angel of the family. Honor roll, class president, National Honor Society member, over two hundred hours of community service, cheerleading team member, etc. Hono was every single one of those things, along with being the most popular and well-liked female in all of tenth grade.
Jet scoffed at the sight of her younger sister, glancing over her quickly. Her shiny black hair was pulled up in a ponytail, the end reaching to below her knees while her bangs were cut evenly above her eyes. She wore a pair of white skinny jeans and a ruffled, flower-printed pink shirt along with a pink bow clipped onto the side of her head. Jet felt her eye twitch at the sound of her sister’s white flip-flops sounding as Hono walked over to sit beside their father, sitting elegantly before sending a dry look to her sister.
“What’d you do this time?”
“None of your damn business. By the way, that fucking manwhore of a boyfriend you have? He’s in the hospital.” Jet replied rudely. Hono’s eyes widened before narrowing into a glare, her eyes flashing in anger. Hono’s eyes were much brighter than Jet’s, edging on the color pink more than red. Jet’s on the other hand looked like blood, something that scared most people shitless whenever she glared at them.
“Tch.” Jet muttered, rolling her eyes at her idiotic little sister as she placed her hands behind her head and shifted her eyes to the wall in front of her.
“What did you do to Tommy you vile cretin?!” Hono yelled, jumping to her feet.
“’Vile cretin’? You’re joking right? That’s the best fucking insult you’ve got? And I broke three of his ribs and his arms. Let’s see that asshole play baseball now.” Jet smirked, holding back a chuckle that threatened to escape her lips. It wasn’t her fault the fight happened, seeing as Tommy had started the whole thing.
“He didn’t do anything wrong! Why would you threaten his future like that?!” Hono cried.
“Didn’t do anything wrong?” Jet sneered. “Bullshit. That little asshole was insulting me for the past two weeks. Then today, he and his little friend decided that it’d be funny to douse me with water balloons. Unfortunately for them, I saw those little douchebags and took punishment into my own hands.”
Principal Philly frowned, not having head this side of the story from Jet considering all he had been doing since she had been sitting in her chair was yell at her and call the hospital to make sure the two fuckers were all right.
“How the hell did the science room get charred then?” Mr. Rizadon questioned.
“They ran at first, going into Mr. Harrison’s room. Unfortunately, today was a lab day and I decided to grab a few of the chemicals and create a small bomb just like those books taught me.” Jet rolled her eyes. “But, the fuckers we able to avoid the fucking thing so it just exploded the cabinets and shit.”
“You could’ve killed them!” Hono screeched, looking like she wanted to gouge her sister’s eyes out.
Jet shrugged. “It wasn’t that lethal. Would’ve given them second degree burns at best.”
Principal Philly was about to comment on how the mixture had decimated the science room’s cabinets before cutting himself off when Mrs. Rizadon snapped her phone shut, amber eyes blazing as she turned to her eldest daughter.
“I’ve arranged it with your uncle. You’re leaving tomorrow and you’re going to spend the rest of the year at his house. You’ll be going to the high school he works at and if I hear that you’ve sent another kid to the hospital, I will sending you to the juvenile detention center for as long as possible.” Jet’s blood-red eyes narrowed, an ice cold chill washing across the entire room and the other occupants shivered.
Suddenly Jet let out a sharp bark of laughter and rose from her seat, looking down at my mother considering I was three inches taller than her 5’1” stature. “You think that’s punishment? It’ll be getting away from this hellhole so I’ll gladly go.”
She smirked, a mocking look taking over her expression before walking out of the office without a glance back. She headed down the halls, going out to the student parking lot. She was sixteen and had gotten her license a few months back, meaning she could legally drive now.
Jet sighed, hopping into her black Pontiac GTP before heading out of the parking lot. She was annoyed that since she was just a junior, she couldn’t use the senior parking lot yet. But, oh well. She probably would never be able to, seeing as her parents would most likely beg her mother’s brother into keeping her until she was a legal adult and could be kicked out without any legal trouble.
After a ten minute drive she arrived home, switching off her car and putting it in park before getting out and heading into the four bedroom, three bath house. It was two story and modern, with about two acres of land. It was nice, Jet had to admit that.
She quickly climbed up the stairs to her room, determined on packing up all of her most important stuff into the three large luggage bags she had. She knew to grab her manga, art supplies, laptop, chargers, DS, Xbox 360, Pokémon comforter, silky blanket, T-shirt pillow, Pikachu and Charizard pillows (about two feet tall each), CDs, DVDs, jackets and of course, all of her clothes. She grabbed the few actual books she had, putting them into the bag with her manga, CDs, DVDs and art supplies. They were The Throne of Fire by Rick Riordan, six books from the Warrior Cats series by Erin Hunter, Invincible by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Shiver and Linger by Maggie Stiefvater, and Fang and Angel by James Patterson. All of these books she had read several times, and felt….inspired, almost, by all of them.
With a sigh Jet set to work grabbing other things she’d need, knowing that she probably wouldn’t be back home for a long time. She paused in the center of her room, eyes straying over to her dresser. She frowned before rolling her eyes and walking over, picking up her stuffed animals. There was a foot tall Pikachu, a small half-foot big cheetah, a pink kitten named Carnation, and three dogs that were brown, tan and white with a spot on their left eyes named Brownie, Max and Sam. Yes, a badass like Jet still had her stuffed animals. She had kept them since she was in elementary school, and was determined to never leave them. Once stuffing them in one of her suitcases, she dashed over to her bed, throwing aside a few pillows before grabbing the four-inch tall miniature Rottweiler. It was a stuffy she’d had since she was a baby, and she always brought him when she knew she’d be going on long trips.
Carefully putting him into the suitcase with the last of the stuffed animals, she zipped up that one, seeing as it was full.
“Jet!!” She heard her mom scream as the door downstairs slammed open. Jet grimaced, heading over to her door and locking it before going back to continue her packing.

Song of the Chapter
There will be a song for every chapter, and no, they do not tie into the story. They’re just songs that I remember to write down that I like seeing as I listen to the radio while I write.
