Grandpa J's Birthday
A/N- Happy birthday to the one and only Mark Hamill who voiced the Joker during my childhood in the animated series of Batman. (9/25)
In this short story, Jessie is a baby and Joker Jr. and his mother plan a surprise party for Joker Sr.
One day in Gotham City, Joker was waiting for his mother, Harley to meet him and Jessie for lunch. "Look whose here, lil clown." Joker cooed as Harley pulled up. "Andma!" "Hi, Jessie. Did you miss grandma?" She cooed and pampered her with kisses. "Alright. Enough of the "kissy" feast. We have to get going." Joker Jr said. (Time skip to the restaurant)
"So Mom. Where's dad?" "At home sleeping. I told him that I went to some shopping. Plus I was thinkin' since today is his birthday I was wondering if you, Jessie, and your men could help me set things up." "I would love to help you out Mom, but-." Joker got cut off by the saddest pout that Jessie gave him, which he couldn't dare say no and break his little clown's heart. "Alright, Mom. Can ya watch Jessie for a few minutes?" "Of course Jack. Come here my little grandbaby." She cooed as your daddy made a phone call to Frost and had him tell his men to meet him and his mother at an old funhouse hideout. Joker set up the pack and play, so she wouldn't get hurt or stepped on. "There ya go lil clown. Now you have fun, while Daddy and Grandma give Daddy's men orders." He cooed as he kissed her. "Oh. I almost forgot, here's boo-boo. Silly Daddy for forgetting boo-boo." He cooed at her, before switching to his bossy self. "Alright boys. It's my father's birthday so my mother and I want this party to be perfect, for if my dad's not happy, then we're going on a killing spree!" He yelled as he and Harley watched them run and scurry like mice.
After everything was set up, Joker came to check on Jessie, who was sound asleep. He smiled as he gently picked her up, placed her in her car seat, and covered her with a baby blanket. "You did an amazing job, Jack. I know your father's going to love to beat the Bat piñata. Too bad we can't get the real Bat." "I thought you were retired, mom." Joker Jr. said with a smirk. "A mother and wife can dream, can't she?" She teased. "Well, I'm going to head home so I can get this lil clown princess of mine and myself ready for the party." "Alright, Jack. I'm going to head out too. I'll make sure to have your father here by 7 pm." Harley said as she kissed her son and granddaughter. (Time skip to the party)
"Where are we going, Harley?" He asked. "To meet Jacky and Jessie, so we can go to Jacky's nightclub." She said. "Well, why are we at the old hideout, then?" "To pick them up, Puddin'." "Hi, mom. Hi Dad." "Hello, Jack. And hello to you, my sweet little Jessie." Joker Sr. cooed as Joker Jr. gave her to him. "My, don't you look pretty, sweetie." He cooed as she hid in his neck. "(Gasp) Now where did Jessie go? I guess she doesn't want to be with Grandpa." He said as he fake cried. Jessie started to cry too, for she thought she had hurt her grandfather's feelings. "Aw, don't cry sweetie. It's okay." He cooed as he soothed her. "Oh, I found you." He said as he tickled her. "Well, are we going to the club or not?" "Oh sorry Dad, but the club is closed for another event." Joker Jr. said. "Well, how about we go inside of the hideout and remember the good old times?" Harley asked as she snuggled up to her husband. "Alright."
As all of them entered, everyone shouted "Happy Birthday J!" "Do ya like it, Puddin'?" "Like it? I love it. Plus I get to beat up Batman. How can I not love my party?" He said as he and Harley kissed. "Really?! Can't you guys get a room?! There's a baby present!" Joker Jr. said as Jessie giggled and kissed her daddy. "I love ya too, Jessie." He cooed and kissed her. When it was time for cake, Jessie got very excited, for who doesn't love birthday cake? As Joker Sr. blew out his candle, he got some icing and bopped Jessie's nose with it. Once the cake was done, they got to play some party games like, pin the battering on the Batman and piñata. Joker Sr. and Joker Jr. helped Jessie with the piñata game. "Bad!" She said as she hit it, making her father and grandparents very proud. "That's my girl. Beat up Batsy for Daddy, Grandpa, and Grandma." Joker Jr. cooed.
After the party was over, all of Joker Jr.'s men and Joker Sr.'s men cleaned up as the clown family headed back home. Once they were home, Joker Jr. and Jessie went into one of the spare bedrooms, since was too late to be out driving. "Alright. Well, we're off to bed." Joker Jr. said in a whisper since Jessie was fast asleep in his arms. "Okay. Goodnight Jack. Goodnight Jessie." Harley and Joker Sr. said as they watched their son and granddaughter head off to bed. "What do ya wanna do now, birthday boy?" "Go grab the whoopie cushion and let's go to our bedroom." He said with a wink as she squealed with joy. "Happy birthday Puddin'."
