~A Couple Days Later~
~No one's P.O.V.~
"C'mon, Sabertooth should be right after this hill!" Lexi grabbed ahold of Jessie's shirt and tried to pull her up the hill.
"What if I'm not welcome? What am I supposed to say??" Jessie mumbled. She had been paranoid for the last couple of days, thinking about what to say and what to do, but in the end of every day she fell asleep thinking about it.
"You'll figure it out in the end so lift your heavy self!" Lexi struggled to say as she lifted her up a couple more inches.
"But what if--"
"NO MORE IFS OR BUTS OR QUESTIONS!" Lexi yelled, accidentally letting go of her in anger. Jessie tumbled down the hill in surprise as she realized her feet had not been on the ground. "JESSIE!" Lexi cried as she flew all the way back down to her partner. Jessie was lying down on the grass, looking up at the blue sky. She watched the white clouds slowly pass by as if they had not one care. A flash of memories surfaced in her head.
"Look at all these clouds Father!" Her own voice rang in her head.
"What is there to look? They're just clouds," a deep voice chuckled.
"No, they can be anything!" her from the past huffed.
"Like what?" Mark's voice scoffed.
"Mmm, it could be a mage, or an animal, or maybe even Sabertooth's guild mark!"
"Hehe, imagine all you want, you're not joining the guild until you're 10," the deep voice reminded.
Tears welled up in Jessie's crystal blue eyes, making Lexi even more worried. "What's wrong Jessie?? Did you hurt yourself?!" At this point Lexi was in one of her panic attacks again. Jessie shook her head and wiped her tears away.
"Come on, you said the guild's past the hill right?" Jessie gave her exceed a grin. Lexi smiled back and nodded. Jessie stood up and started running up the hill.

"So this is Sabertooth..." Jessie said in awe as she looked up at the huge building that she hadn't been to for 7 years, though, she wasn't sure if she had been to the guild at all when she was young(er). "I'm still not too sure about this Lexi.."
"Whatcha talking about? We've already walked here, so let's go in!" Lexi said with a tick mark, tired of her uncertainty. She shoved Jessie forwards, resulting in Jessie stumbling through the doors.
"Um...hello?" she said hesitantly after regaining her balance. All eyes went on her, the 11 year old girl coming into a mage guild. Of course, what they didn't know was that she had been in one before. "Um..I'm looking for my father..." Jessie closed her eyes in fear that no one would come. She waited for someone to say "that man died years ago" or "no one here lost a child." However, Jessie slowly opened her eyes when she heard footsteps. A tall, slim man with dark brown hair pushed his way towards the young girl. There were murmurs of "Master Eric!" and "Master is this your..?" His eyes glowed an emerald green as they stared at Jessie with pure shock and disbelief.
"Jessie? Is that...you?" the man whispered. For the past 8 years he had been constantly trying to search for his children, but every lead he had lead to a dead end and an even deeper sense of guilt. For a moment Jessie studied every detail about him. She did not remember him that well, but she reasoned that was because she was only 3 when she had last saw him. Although she did not recognize him, she could tell by the look in his eyes who he was to her.
A small smile crept onto Jessie's lips as she replied, "Yes, Father." He slowly walked towards Jessie and fell to his knees. He then wrapped his arms around her and squeezed her as tight as she could. At first Jessie was about to say something when she felt tears on her shoulders.
"Thank god....Thank god.." Eric whispered. Jessie could feel tears stinging her eyes too, but she held them back because by then she had realized the entire guild was watching. Even Lexi was smirking in the corner of the room, having entered the guild as well when no one was looking. As her eyes scanned the crowd, one boy stood out in her surroundings. He was around Jessie's age with black hair covering one of his piercing red eyes, and he looked rather short in the crowd of grown men and women.
When her father finally let go, he stood up and proudly announced, "My daughter has returned! Let's celebrate!" Everyone in the guild cheered and immediately began preparing a feast. Eric then looked back to Jessie with glassy eyes and a smile. He crouched down once again and gave her a quick squeeze. "You can explain your brother's whereabouts and things later, but for now don't worry about it okay?" he murmured softly into the young girl's ear. Jessie nodded and weakly grinned. She felt as if an entire weight had been lifted off of her shoulders. But, she now had a tiny pit in her stomach as she knew she was going to have to explain what happened later. That feeling made her lose her appetite, and she had noticed the red-eyed boy leaning against one of the walls of the guild, so she went went over to him. When he noticed Jessie coming towards him, he looked away. She noticed how there was a splash of pink on his cheeks.
"Hi," Jessie greeted. She was a bit shy, but she told herself that she had to be both emotionally and physically strong in order to be able to beat anyone in Fairy Tail. "You must be new to this guild."
"You are too, you know," he muttered, avoiding eye contact with her.
"Well, you are a dragon slayer, aren't you?" Jessie smiled. His eyes widened and he immediately made eye contact with her crystal blue eyes, but he quickly broke the gaze a split second later.
"How did you know?" he tried to ask inexpressively, but there was a hint of curiosity in his tone. Jessie smiled.
"I'm a dragon slayer too idiot," she chuckled.
"Hey, um, the feast's ready," Eric told Jessie a bit nervously. Although he was extremely grateful to see his daughter once more, he had forgotten how he didn't really know how to interact with her. Him talking to her just a couple minutes ago was out of instinct and happiness. However, Jessie didn't notice this and smiled at her father and nodded.
"Hey, wanna join me at the feast?" Jessie offered. "I'm not that hungry."
"No thanks," he muttered. Jessie smirked and grabbed his hand, which made his cheeks turn redder in reaction.
"C'mon, it'll be fun!" Jessie pulled on his hand.
"W-wait!" he stuttered, not wanting to move. Just then Jessie noticed something behind him. A cute little green cat with a pink frog costume stood behind one of his legs. Jessie gasped and tried to touch it but it hid behind him.
"Awwwww, so cute!!" she cooed. "Who's this cutie??" He blushed even further.
"He's just a cat that I found a couple years ago as an egg.." he muttered. Jessie grinned at him.
"Well, he's the cutest cat ever!" Jessie squealed. "Well, let's all go to the dining room then!" She let him pick up the little cat and tried to lead him to the dining room, wherever that was.
