Three years later

For the past three years I had been in therapy and trying to get Kilgrave out of my mind, but it wasn't easy. Everything reminded me of him and almost every time I saw a guy that looked similar to him I nearly attacked them, but luckily Jessica was with me.

I woke up with a bottle of alcohol on my desk. I grabbed it and finished it in one gulp. I set up and let out a sigh as I left my room and got into the shower and washed off before getting out and putting a tank top on with a pair of jeans. I walked up to Jessica and set beside her as a couple walked into the office.

"So let me guess your kid is missing?" I asked with a frown.

"Yes her name is Hope. This isn't like her." The mother said as she handed me a picture.

"Alright we will see what we can do." I said looking at the picture.

I handed it to Jessica after they left and I let out a sigh as I grabbed my bag.

"So you giving this to me?" She asked looking up at me.

"Yea it's all yours." I said as I made it to the door.

"Be safe." She said with a sigh.

I left and made my way to Luke's bar and ordered a drink.

"Rough day?" Luke asked as he handed me my drink.

"No just a normal day." I said as I gulped it down.

After awhile I got a text and I groaned as I met up with Jessica at a place called Niku. We walked in and she asked a worker a few questions while I looked around. I froze as I heard him say which seat it was.

"Was this place called Il Rosso before?" I asked turning to look at the worker.

"Yea but we remodeled it. The guy who was with the girl ordered Pasta Amatriciana. And the chief did everything to make it. Said he couldn't control himself." He said softly.

I quickly ran out of the restaurant and made my way down the street. I heard Jessica call after me, but I kept running. I finally stopped in our apartment and started to pack.

"Okay what happen?" She asked as I put everything in a suitcase.

"He's back." I said softly.

"How? I mean you saw him die." She said as she grabbed my hand.

"That was the place he took me on our month anniversary. He ordered that same dish. It's him I know it." I said as I pulled my hand away.

"Where are you going?" She asked with a sigh.

"I'm going away from here. Think Trish will lend me money?" I asked softly.

"Ask her." She said softly.

I ran out of the house and to Trish's. When I made it I knocked on the door and waited for her to open it. When she did she leaned against the door and looked at me annoyed.

"What do you want now?" She asked calmly.

"He's back."

"It's been three years, Jackie. You saw him die. You saw his death certificate. This is just your PTSD--" She said softly.

"It's not my damn PTSD." I said glaring up at her.

"Are you still having nightmares? Flashbacks? You need to go back to that therapist." She said gently touching my shoulder.

"That quack that had me reciting street names from back home?" I said walking into the house.

"A proven method for managing PTSD."

"Two hundred bucks for "Birch Street, Cobalt Lane, Bullshit Drive." I said sitting on her couch.

After I was able to convince her that he was back o was able to get the money and I made my way to a taxi. Half way there I let out a sigh as I had the driver take me to the hotel he had made us stay. I walked inside and hit the fire alarm before going to the room. I made it to the room to see Hope on the bed looking at the clock.

"Is he here?" I asked looking around.

"No he left four hours ago." She said softly.

"Okay get up and let's go." I said grabbing her clothes.

"I can't." She said softly.

"He told you to not move." I said with a groan.

I walked up to her and picked her up while she screamed for me to let her go. I dragged her out of the hotel and made my way to Jessica's. I helped Hope get dress and then I talked to her. Her parents soon came into the apartment and I smiled softly.

"Mom! Dad!" She exclaimed as she hugged them.

"Go far away from here." I said softly.

"Thank you." They said as they left the apartment.

I soon followed behind them and looked on in shock as I saw Hope pull a gun out. I quickly ran down the stairs and tried to catch the elevator. I looked on in shock as I saw Hope holding a gun and her parents on the ground dead. I gasped as I walked towards the taxi and then stopped and walked back up to the apartment. After a hour talk with the cops me and Jessica made it back home and decided to find out what Kilgrave was up to.

"Jessica tomorrow could you go up and talk to Hope for me?" I asked sitting beside her.

"Sure. Hey we are going to help her and stop him." Jessica said softly.

"I hope so." I whispered as I walked into my room and laid down.
