A week had past and I had ended up moving into my old house with Rory. I had given him my brother's old room. I smiled as I put him to bed and then left him with Trish so I could go back and talk to Kilgrave.

"I want to make a deal with you." I said as I walked into his cell.

"Really what type of deal?" He asked crossing his arms over his chest.

"You compel them to let Hope go and then make them think someone threatened Hope into killing them to save her brother." I said softly.

"And what do I get from this?" He asked softly.

"Freedom."

"Deal."

I took him to the police station and watched as he compelled them to do what I said. After he was done we left the station and made our way to the car.

"I want to make a request." Kilgrave said as we got to the car.

"What do you want?" I asked leaning against the car.

"I can't control you. I learned that after I forced you to kill that woman, and I am sorry for making you do that."

"Just spit it out."

"A family. All I want is to be able to have a family with you. We can raise our son together. Be happy and forget about all of this." He said gently touching my shoulders.

"I.... promise me you won't hurt anyone."

"I promise." He said softly.

"You won't compel anyone unless forced to. You won't compel our son."

"I would never compel my son, but if it will help I promise." He said looking down at me gently.

"I want to hear you say that you won't bring up anything that has happen, and that we will forget everything that had happen in the last three years." I said softly.

"I will never speak of it again." He whispered as he leaned down.

"Guess that's all I need for you to come... to come home." I said as he smiled down at me.

He leaned down and quickly kissed me and pulled me against him tightly. I let out a sigh as I ran my fingers through his hair.

"I love you." He whispered with a smile.

"I know." I said softly.

We made our way home and I smiled as Rory ran down the stairs and tackled Kilgrave in a hug. That night we laid down in bed and I laid my head on his chest.

"So I was thinking if we are putting everything in the past then maybe I should go by Kevin. Kevin Thompson and you should go by Jackie Thompson." He said with a smile.

"Are you asking me to marry you?" I asked with a smile.

"Yes.... I am." He whispered as he pecked my lips.

"Then I guess I could live with the last name Thompson." I said with a laugh.

He smiled as he pulled me into a deep kiss. I smiled as I ran my fingers through his hair before pulling away from him and closing my eyes and going to sleep. I woke up the next morning to see Kilgr..... Kevin cooking with Rory in the kitchen.

"I see you too are having fun." I said as I let out a laugh.

"Sorry about the mess..... Rory did it." Kevin said with a smile.

"Lier!" Rory exclaimed annoyed.

"Okay boys clean this up and I'll help you make breakfast." I said shaking my head.

I felt a small smile appear on my face as I watched them rush to clean up the kitchen. After they got done cleaning I walked up to Kevin and wrapped my arms around his waist.

"So you and our son is already blaming each other and we just moved in." I said with a smile.

"You can't blame me." He said turning to face me.

"Yes I can." I said as I leaned up and pecked his lips.

He let out a hum as I pulled away and moved past him to help Rory make pancakes.

"So mom can we make chocolate chip pancakes?" Rory asked with a smile.

"Of course we can sweetheart." I said as I grabbed the chocolate chips.

He smiled up at me as we started the batter and then finished cooking. I laughed as we walked into the living room to see Kevin with three plates and glasses.

"Hey kiddo do you want juice or milk?" Kevin asked smiling down at Rory.

"..... milk." He said happily.

I smiled as he purred is all glasses of milk and we ate and talked about what we wanted to do today.

"Well we have to enroll Rory in school, today so I think this weekend we can go swimming." I said with a smile.

"I don't know how to swim though." Rory said looking at his plate.

"That's what I'm here for. I can teach you." Kevin said ruffling up Rory's hair.

Rory smiled as he jumped out of his chair and hugged Kevin. I let out a laugh as I shook my head and finished eating. It wasn't hard to sign Rory up for school and after signing him up we left him at school so he could make friends and I could find a job.

"So we are lookin for jobs." Kevin said as he scrolled through the websites.

"Shouldn't be hard. I use to work on the police force so I may be able to get a job there." I said leaning back in my chair.

"I could stay home and work. There is thousands of jobs that let me do that."

"Alright, I'll go to the station next week. Right now with all the money I have saved up we should be good." I said with a smile.

"And the money I stole.... I mean earned." Kevin said looking at his hands.

I stood up and set in his lap as he put his arms around me.

"It's alright. We both have a long ways to go." I said leaning down and pecking his lips.

He smiled against my lips as we pulled apart and I leaned my head on his chest.
