"I asked you a question! Who the fuck are you?" Henry raised his voice at me. I could hear the anger in his voice, his heart must have been racing faster than a formula 1 car.

I lifted my hands above my head carefully. "I'm Daisy." I uttered quietly.

He removed the gun from behind my head. I heard the clunk as he placed it against the hard wood of his desk.

"Don't bullshit me girl." he snapped. He gripped his hand around my arm like a vice and yanked me to my feet to face him. "Tell me who you are. Are you with them? Hell, were you the one who killed David?" he rambled his words angrily.

"I, I." I stuttered. I forced tears out of my eyes. I'd never been caught before. I should have never underestimated him.

"Wipe your tears and answer me." he snapped.

"They have my friend. They told me that if I didn't come here and snoop they'll hurt her." I sobbed through my lies, knowing it would pull on his heartstrings.

He rested his hands on my shoulders and slid them down my arms. "Fucking hell girl. I want to believe you, but why should I?" he sighed. He looked desperate for me to give him some sign of hope.

"I don't know." I mumbled. Tears shed down my face. "They're going to kill her aren't they? I have nothing to give them."

"Who are they? Them?" he looked me dead in the eye, staring deep into my now trembling soul.

"I don't know, I've only met one person, but he talks about others like it's an organisation. He dresses in grey suits and he has a scar on his neck."

He perched himself against his desk. "Fuck!" he cursed.

"H-Henry?" I asked nervously walking towards him.

"I can help you, but we're going to have to go somewhere else. I don't trust that they haven't bugged this place."

"Where have you been? I've been worried sick about you!" Kassie wrapped her arms around me and pulled me close. "I'm so mad at you." she whispered passively aggressively into my ear.

"I'm sorry." I apologised. "I was on a mission, you know how it is." I tried to explain, but she never wanted to listen.

"Yeah, but when I'm on a mission. I don't disappear for 2 days J." she snapped.

"Let me make it up to you." I dropped my bags on the floor and rested my hands on her waist. I lifted her up and she instinctively wrapped her legs around me. She widened her eyes at my actions.

"Can I do that?" I asked gently. I carried her up to our room and laid her on the bed.

She took off her top and I caressed her body with my hands gently, soothing her like she deserved. She deserved more than me. I was born to self-destruct, and she didn't deserve to be caught in the crossfire, but we were both in too deep.

My hands between her legs. "I missed you." she whispered through her soft moans.

She unzipped my dress and I pulled it off. Our glistening bodies intertwined with the love of a couple who've been through hell and back.

"I love you." I whispered in her ear.

I stole a kiss from her lips and continued to touch her, just how I knew she liked it. She clenched her legs together and let out the sound of a sweet symphony of pleasure.

She climbed on top of me and took a kiss from my lips. Her elbow next to my head he pulled back and stared into my blue eyes as they glistened at her, like the very first time.

"You fucked him didn't you?" she said bluntly as fuck. I stared straight into her eyes, I knew she was watching for my reaction.

"I didn't." I lied.

"I get it, we don't talk about what happens on the job," she paused, "but you can tell me if you did."

What is this? Some kind of test? I'm starting to think she's crazier than I am.

"You're right. We don't, but there's nothing to tell. We didn't sleep together." I replied.

She jumped off from on top of me and paced the length of the room like a mad woman on a rampage.

"You're lying to me! Why are you lying to me?" she almost shouted at me.

I stood up, wrapped the blanket around me and wrapped her up in me. "I love you K. You saved me, you kept me safe. You own my heart." I rubbed my thumb across her golden locket shaped like a heart that was home to my photo. "You're my everything." I said softly.

"Don't leave me again?" she asked with tears rolling down her face. I wiped them away and kissed her red cheeks.

"For no other reason than work." I replied.

"I'm so sorry J, I love you so much." she rambled.

"It's okay." I kissed her on the forehead. I do however have to report back to your father today, but I'll be back as soon as I'm done. We can have a date night, okay?"

"Okay." she uttered, and wrapped her arms around me tightly before letting me go.

I entered his office. The office of Kassie's father, Christopher. He looked up from his quinoa salad and put his fork down next to his plate carefully. I rested myself on the edge of his desk and caught his gaze in mine.

"So what did you learn?" he questioned me.

I took a deep breath, he always made me feel nervous. "I don't think he's the guy you're looking for."

"He's the head isn't he? You cut off the head, you kill the beast." he said firmly.

I placed my hand on his desk and leaned closer to him. "But don't you want proper justice, don't you want to find out who and kill them? Rather than let them get away in the wind."

"And you think you can get this information?" he asked. I could tell he didn't believe I could.

"I do."

"And you're going to sleep with him?" he added casually.

I nervously choked on the saliva that was settled under my tongue. "You saw us arguing?" I asked. He nodded. "You're a sick fuck for having cameras in your daughter's house."

He slipped off his chair and walked around the desk. He slammed his hands down either side of me. "What did you just say to me?" he asked through his teeth, he was seething.

"I said you're a sick fuck." I spat back without thinking of the consequences.

He grabbed my arm and wrapped his fingers around it tight. "Are you forgetting who saved you from your mother?" He gripped tighter like a vice, I was trapped.

"You're hurting me Chris, please stop, I'm sorry." A lonely tear rolled down my face. I avoided his eye contact and my eyes caught a glimpse of the scar on his neck. It was just like I remembered it. It's where I always used to look when I didn't want to face his grey eyes.

He let go of me and walked away to the back of the room. He brushed his hand through his hair anxiously, like he was nervous.

"This means a lot to me Jessica. Don't fuck this up."

"I won't." I said firmly.

He walked back over to his desk and sat down. He bounced his fingertips off the mahogany wood whilst thoughts flickered through his mind. "Good. Now leave. I don't want to see you till you have the names."

"I'll go tonight after date night. I promised Kass." I assured him confidently.

"Good. Now off you go."

Fucking bastard.
