A cold wisp of wind sifted through the crowded streets of New York. A young man, hair as dark as the darkness of night and eyes the color of the green tropical water off the coast of Gulf Shores. He hugged his gray pea coat tight against his cold body, hoping to find some kind of warmth. His sea green scarf pressed against his neck and face as he buried his face in it. His cheeks were flushed a light pink as were his ears.

He pushed through the crowd until he got pressed against a grown man's body. He looked up to see dull brown eyes and then shifted his gaze to the bag in his hand. Beer and cigars. He involuntarily shivered, as it reminded him of his old step-father. He kept walking.

The jet black haired man reached an apartment complex with peeled tan paint and rutted shutters. Old floral prints were faint and moldy. He sighed a breath of content. Home sweet home.

He waved the doorman a gentle wave with a faint smile to go along with it.

"Hey, Percy. I know you just got over Annabeth...but, hang out sometime?" The Doorman asked with his face screwed into a hopeful expression. Newly dubbed Percy pursed his lips.

"I'm sorry Mark, but I'll have to decline. I just need some time." Percy answered earnestly. Mark sighed but nodded anyway.

Percy sprinted up the stairs to a small door and pulled out a key. He opened the door to find a dark room with eery silence. He sighed in content. Again. Home sweet home.

He heard a groan and his head snapped over to the couch where a young man with honey blonde hair and electric blue eyes lay. His face was twisted into pain.

"Peeerrrcccyyyy! It hurtttsss..." Percy smiled at the deep and crackly voice of his best friend.

"Well, Superman. You'll have to wait until I get your medicine out. And stop moaning and groaning." Percy retorted with a mischievous glint in his eyes. Superman groaned.

"Peeerrrcccyyyy!" Percy's heart thumped and pounded against his chest. His heart gave a painful squeeze. He wasn't supposed to feel this way about his best friend.

"Wait, Thunder Thighs." Percy grabbed a bottle from his pocket that looked like a thick pink paste or liquid. The label read some doctor stuff--most likely medicine. He poured the liquid into the cap and measured it roughly.

Percy walked over to Superman and poured the liquid into the young man's mouth.

"Peeerrrcccyyyy, it's disgusttiinnggg!" Thunder Thighs whined like a child. His face was pale and his blue eyes were clouded.

"Jason." Percy gave the blonde haired boy the 'mom glare' and propped his hands on his hips. Percy walked over to the lamp and pulled the string. The sudden amount of light made Jason cringe and so he wrapped himself in lots of blankets all while hissing.

Percy sighed and rubbed his hands to his temples.

"Jason, I know Piper dumped you hard but hiding from sunlight is really unhealthy," Percy said raising his voice and holding his finger sternly. Jason looked like he wanted to say something but didn't.

"Get some rest." said the angry son of Poseidon. The son of Jupiter groaned and flopped over and in the process, the blanket knocked over an unlit candle. The candle clattered to the floor.

Percy suppressed a yell. Instead, he walked over to the candle, picked it up and set it on the kitchen table. Jason flopped up, flipping the blanket again, hitting a stack of books. Percy clenched his fists. He picked up the books and everything else on the table and then set it on the kitchen table.

"Sorry Percy," Jason mumbled into his pillows.

"It's okay, Jason," said Percy with a small smile. "I'll be in my room if you need anything." Percy pulled off his coat and put it on the coat tree. He lumbered over to his room's door(which was painted entirely blue with his name painted on it), opened it, then slammed it closed.

Thunder crackled in the dark and stormy night. Lightning flashed and winds pressed against Percy's window.

Percy grimaced and hugged his blanket tight and buried his head in his pillows. Tears flowed out of his eyes like a waterfall. His sobs were muffled by his pillows and mounds of blankets stuffed onto his body.

Lightning flashed. Thunder cracked.

Percy flinched and curled into his body more.

The creak of the door made Percy cringe and curl further away from the door. The door swung slowly forward to reveal a very sniffly Jason Grace. Percy looked up with a tear stricken face. Jason's face soften.

"Percy," he said softly. "Are you thinking about that and her?" Percy nodded meekly. Jason took a deep breath and advanced.

Ever since Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena had died in the Giant War in the hands of the old hag herself, Gaea, Percy had never been the same. Night terrors were often and blackouts and flashbacks had occurred often and were hard to snap out of.

Piper Mclean broke up with Jason after she realized her love for Reyna, leaving Jason heartbroken and lonely. Well, not entirely. He had Percy but they weren't a couple.

Jason sat down next to Percy who looked at Jason wearily. Jason laid down, all while looking out at the sky.

"Your father hates me," Percy grumbled, while furiously swiping at his tearing eyes. Jason nodded sadly.

Jason snuggled down next to Percy, wrapping his blankets around the sea boy.

"If you get me sick, Grace," Percy warned. "You won't see the light of day again." Jason shrugged but continued to entangle himself into Percy's blankets. He placed his head in the crook of Percy's neck.

"You know, when lightning is formed, the only way for thunder to occur is for the Earth's magnetism to pull the-" He stopped when he realized Percy's breaths had evened and his eyes were closed. Jason, involuntarily, had smiled at the small puffs of breaths Percy exhaled and the serene expression that graced his face.

He leaned over and kissed Percy on the cheek. "Goodnight, my seahorse."

Minutes later, the son Jupiter feel asleep, his breathing synchronized with the son of Poseidon's. A loud clap of thunder erupted the night. Percy stirred, but Jason, still asleep, grabbed Percy's hand and squeezed his hand. Percy smiled.

"Goodnight, lightning bug."

In the morning, Jason was awoken sound of coughing and immediately cracked his eyes open to see Percy hunched over coughing into his blanket, but with his hands still intertwined with Jason's. Jason blushed a rosy pink.

"Percy are you okay?" Jason rasped to his best friend.

"Yeah," Percy said in a deep morning voice. "You got me sick."

"Do you remember anything?" Percy gave a lopsided smile.

"Every detail," Percy responded. Jason nodded.

"Especially to the point where I told you goodnight." Jason furrowed his eyebrows.

"I don't remember that. Was I asleep?!" Percy nodded with a sly smile.

"So you know about the-" Jason said mortified. His face showed true fear.

"Seahorse. Nice choice." said the demigod with his famous lopsided grin plastered on his face. "And, no dreams--surprisingly." Percy stood up, fixed his shirt and walked out with a goofy grin. He stopped at the doorway and thought for a moment. Mused it. Turned around and walked over. Bent down and kissed Jason, a small but passionate kiss. He then walked out.

"I'm taking a shower!" said the son of Poseidon.

Jason's face was glued to that same surprised expression. He touched his lips, then smiled.

He stood up from all the blankets and laughed. Percy Jackson just kissed him. Just kissed him. He skipped out of the room and wanted to get out of the house. Adventure! See the world! And that all ended when he started a coughing fit.

Oh yeah, I'm sick, Jason thought with an embarrassed smile.

He made pancakes anyway. And got Starbucks. And somehow bumped into Piper. Coincidence? I think not.

As the blonde Superman walked out of Starbucks with two lattes, one had gotten written on which may or may not had said: "I like you a latte." But that's irrelevant. Sshhhhh! He may have walked into a certain daughter of Aphrodite.

"Jason!" Piper said surprised as she bumped into him. The latte sloshed onto her shirt and was quite stained. His face couldn't express shock more than this moment. Well, the only exception being when Percy kissed him...

"Oh, my gods. I'm so sorry. I'm so so so sorry, Piper. I didn't see you there. Wait. Piper. What are you doing here?" Piper just smiled and rolled her eyes.

"THAT'S what you say to your ex?" Jason turned red with blush.

"I just. Uh. Wasn't expecting you to be in New York?" His voice was at least an octave higher than normal. Piper laughed.

"I believe you owe me a new shirt. And I owe you a latte. That says...'I like you a latte'?" Piper's face was full of confusion. Her green, blue, brown... Whatever color her eyes are swirled with thought.

"Oh um." Jason's face couldn't be redder. "Er, well. I'll explain over coffee?"

Piper shrugged. "I guess. Lead the way, Superman. You're paying."

Jason muttered incoherently at this statement. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever."

______________________________________________________

"So Jason. How's um. Percy?" Piper asked, taking a sip out of her coffee. Jason thought for a moment.

"Um. He's good actually. How's...Reyna?" Jason said avoiding eye contact. Piper smiled good-naturedly. Her eyes sparkled and her face lit up.

"Reyna is awesome! Did you know she bakes the best cookies ever? And her dogs, oh my gosh!..." Piper droned on and on about her girlfriend, while Jason thought about Percy.

He thought about his smile. The way his face lights up when thinking about the ocean and going to the beach, and going to see his other friends at CHB and Camp Jupiter. Or when his eyes sparkle like the ocean. How's he's oblivious to when girls and boys alike flirt with him. Whats there not to love about him?

"Jason. Jason! JASON! Were you even listening to a word I said?" Piper shook his arm. He blinked several times.

"Oh, um. Well I-no I wasn't." said the son of Jupiter. The Cherokee girl rolled her eyes then focused on Jason's cheeks.

"Were you thinking of something or rather someone?" Piper questioned. Jason blushed beet red. "You were! That's so cute!"

"Piper, um. Do you know what to do if you're in love with your best friend?" Jason asked timidly. Piper's smile wavered.

"Your best friend." She repeated. Slow realization crept up on her face.

"Oh, my gods! Oh, my gods! You like him-" Jason clamped his hand over her mouth. She gave him the 'remove-your-hand-before-I-hurt-you-are-you-serious' look. She's very easy to read.

"Shut up!" He hissed. Piper looked excited.

"I shipppp it!" She squealed. Jason raised his eyebrow.

"Your inner Aphrodite is coming out, Pipes." He deadpanned. Piper bit her lip from squealing again.

"Jason I'm happy for you. You're moving on. Take it. Go get Percy," she said earnestly. Jason sighed and rubbed his head.

"Piper, what if I get hurt again?" Jason said quietly. Piper gave him a reassuring smile.

"This is Percy we're talking about. He's too loyal to hurt you. And he's worth isn't he?" The daughter of Aphrodite stood up from her chair and grabbed her coffee. She pulled her coat back on.

"Don't let Percy get away. Love him. As your resident daughter of Aphrodite, I implore you to take this chance and date him." She said quietly. "See you around Jason. Take care. Update me on him okay?" Jason nodded.

"I'll see you around Pipes." He said then thought.

"Wait! Piper!" She turned around. "Why are you here, you never said,"

"I got a hunch that someone needed my help." she turned around and walked away, leaving him in Starbucks alone. He thought for a moment, then smiled. Percy won't slip away from him that easily.

______________________________________________________

Percy yawned and grabbed his towel and wrapped it around his body. He scanned his chest and all the scars on it. He traced every single one and remembered every story that goes along with it. He frowned at the one that was from Smelly Gabe's beer bottle shard. It started at his hip and lead up to his belly button. He stifled a laugh, remembering that his old stepfather is a statue now and resides in a museum.

He heard Jason leave and close the door, he sighed.

A sudden thought came to him. What if Jason leaving because Percy kissed him? Is he that bad of a kisser? Does Jason hate him?!? He pushed those thoughts out of his brain.

No Jason likes you, right? , He thought with furrowed brows.

"Ugh, why does the world hate me so?" Percy said out loud.

"I don't think the world hates you, Perce." Said a voice behind him.

In short words, he squealed like a 5-year-old girl.He pulled out Riptide and uncapped it swiftly, pointing to the throat of a certain daughter of Bellona.

"Reyna?!? What are you doing in my bathroom?" The demigoddess shrugged and opened the door.

"Put some clothes on. My dogs are waiting." Reyna said shortly before closing the door on his face.

"Why me?" Percy wondered out loud.

"Stop talking to yourself!" He heard Reyna shouted through the door. He sighed and pulled his pants on.

______________________________________________________

"Reyna. Why are you in my apartment?" Percy asked as he tugged on his scarf. He was wearing skinny jeans, white shirt, and his sea green scarf. While Reyna wore some classic ripped jeans and a purple shirt.

"Piper said she wanted to come into the city for something and I have been dragged along. So I decided to come to your place while she did whatever she's doing." Percy made an O with his mouth.

"Well, how are you, Reyna? Camp treating you well?" Reyna sighed.

"This Apollo kid thinks she's going to take Octavian's place as augur and instead of stuffed animals, she demands mortals as human sacrifice. Pretty insane if you ask me." Reyna huffed. "She thinks she should be praetor and frankly it's annoying."

Percy laughed. "Sew her into a bag of angry weasels and throw her into the Tiber."

Reyna mused this thought. "That sounds nice. Her name is Andrea Pocks. Legacy of Apollo. Her father is a rich demigod of Apollo and her mother is also a rich demigoddess of Vulcan. She's a pain in the arse." Percy chuckled a bit.

"Sounds like Octavian reincarnated. Gods is she obsessed with destroying the Greeks?" Percy bit his lip.

"You have no idea. She says 'Greeks' this and 'Greeks' that." Reyna patted Aurum and Argentum's heads. "She just needs to shut up."

"Anyways, Perce, how's therapy?" Percy took a deep breath.

"Well, I found out that mortal therapists are dumb and inconsiderate. I've been to three, all of which are in the hospital, so I've made Jason my honorary therapist." Percy picked at his fingernails.

"Speaking of Jason, how's he?" Reyna smiled a bit and glanced at the dogs who's stare was fixed onto Percy.

"Well, he's great," the dogs snarled. "He's sick but he seems happy." The dogs did nothing.

Reyna mused this. "Anything else?" Percy gulped.

"Using your dogs against me isn't friendship." Percy criticized. Reyna rolled her eyes at him.

"Trust me, I've used Aurum and Argentum on Piper and I found out she liked me. And well, look at us now." Percy looked defeated.

"Piper broke Jason. He got sick because he became a vampire and hid from the sun, he was so broken." His eyes trailed to the mound of blankets on the floor and the cap for medicine that was empty. "I had to pick up the pieces." He muttered.

"Percy have you thought that maybe Jason and Piper weren't meant to be?" Percy scoffed at Reyna's statement.

"Reyna, have you ever thought that maybe Jason will still get hurt?" Reyna looked at him with sad eyes.

"Percy, you know I never mean to hurt you but, what about Piper? You go to Jason and not Piper. " Percy looked away.

"If you are going to question what I say, I'm going to have to ask you to leave," Percy concluded. Reyna smiled as though she knew this was going to happen.

"Percy, one more question." Reyna stuck her head high. Percy sighed.

"Fine."

"Do you like Jason, meaning more than a friend or best friend?" Reyna asked. "Romantically."

Percy shot up. "Your stay here has been a bit long don't you think?"

Reyna stood up as well. "That's not an answer."

"What does it mean to you?" He shouted. The daughter of Bellona snapped her fingers and her dogs bared their teeth.

"Reyna..." Percy warned. Reyna stayed calm and held a stoic expression.

"Perce, believe me when I say I mean no harm."

"You're intruding into my home."

"I have good reasons."

"To snoop into my love life? Hardly a good reason."

"He's my friend and I don't him to get hurt." Percy collapsed on the couch and rubbed his face.

"Reyna, I love him and I'd never hurt him. He means the world to me and I just hope he feels the same. He helped me. He's still helping me." Percy confessed.

Reyna looked at her gold and silver dogs. They did nothing.

"Thank you for your time, Percy and I believe you. Just don't break him more." He nodded dutifully.

"Thank you, Reyna." Said the son of Poseidon. She nodded and turned toward the door. She quickly opened it and waved bye. He said bye after she closed the door leaving him alone in his apartment.

______________________________________________________

Percy yawned at his homework for school. Math, English...whatever all subjects suck. And the teachers. Except for Paul. He's okay. Well, if you don't count that Paul is Percy's stepfather and Percy has a shi-you no what. Crappy. Just for the kids. A crappy history with stepfathers. And that's an understatement.

His head was on his desk, and his eyes were closing. He tried to fight the urge to sleep, but when something is boring you tend to sleep. And that's alright.

"PERCY!" he heard Jason call out from most likely the kitchen. His head snapped up and his hands(reflex mind you) swiped all of his homework onto the floor. He bent down to get them, then on mistake, bumped his head into the underside of his desk. He groaned and veered left, hitting the small trash can and spilling trash onto the floor and lost grip of all of his papers. Great.

"COMING. ONE SEC!" Percy yelled back.

"ALRIGHT, BE QUICK!" Jason responded. Percy groaned and picked up everything from the floor. Why him?

Percy, done cleaning his mess, opened his door to see Jason in a suit in tie, holding a rose. The room was dark and candles were lit. Rose petals were spread everywhere. A vanilla scent filled his nose.

Percy gasped at the sight and brought his hand to his mouth.

"Dude..." Percy muttered glancing at the pictures of Jason and him spread out across the room.

"I have a dinner reservation at that one fancy restaurant we've always wanted to go to," Jason said softly. Percy nodded quickly.

"I feel underdressed," Percy confessed. Jason laughed.

"Then go change." Percy nodded vigorously and sprinted back to his room to put on a suit and tie as well. He came out looking dashing with a black suit and sea green tie. Percy noticed the candle were unlit. Whelp, fire safety am I right kids?

"Let's go, Superman," Percy said excited, his eyes shining like a little kid.

"Alright. Come on!" The son of Jupiter grinned and outstretched his hand for Percy to take. Percy took it with joy. Together they walked out hand in hand.

______________________________________________________

Percy and Jason sat at a table that was located on the terrace that looked at the Hudson. A yellow, orange, purple, and magenta sunset peeked through the city buildings. Stars were starting to appear.

"That one looks like the Huntress.Lady Artemis sent Zoe Nightshade when she died, into the stars to be a constellation. Zoe loved the stars." Percy told Jason while pointing at the constellation. Jason smiled.

"Now that I see it, isn't that constellation always in the sky?" Percy nodded at Jason. He turned his head toward Jason who gave him a dazzling smile.

"Jason, if Hera never switched us, do you think we would have ever crossed paths?" asked the son of Poseidon Jason thought for a moment.

"Fate put us together. No matter what, the fates saw that we would be together, so I think yeah. We would've met one way or another." Jason rambled with an adorkable expression on his face. Percy smiled fondly at the light blush that spread across Jason's cheeks. Percy let a lone tear roll down his cheek.

"Why are you crying Perce?" asked Jason. He wiped the tear away with his thumb.

"It's just this so cliche!" Percy smiled at Jason and intertwined his hands with Jason's. "I never thought I would be dating the most handsome boys out there. I don't deserve you." Jason shook his head no.

"Don't think that. You're just as amazing as I am." Jason chuckled lightly.

"Thanks, Jase."

"Your welcome, Perce."

A blanket of silence spread on the boys. The sunset was less visible now and the stars shone brightly. A comfortable quietness passed between them.

"Percy," Jason started as he squeezed Percy's hand. "We never made this official so I got a speech. That all right?" Percy laughed softly and nodded with a grin that never left his face.

"Percy, you are the bravest person I've ever met, and that's brave considering I've met so many of your friends and my friends. Your handsome, loyal, confident, loving, and caring and you are a great leader. But you are also half-mortal," Jason laughed. "meaning you can feel sadness and break down once in awhile. You aren't some cold-hearted, no feelings assassin that can't feel any emotions whatsoever--you're human. You're real and here. I'm so blessed by the fates that we met. Ups and downs, you manage to keep a bright smile and light up the world with it. I know this isn't exactly what being a demigod means, but you are an angel sent from heaven I swear. No words describe how thankful I am for your existence. I love you, Perseus Jackson. I am hopelessly in love with you and I have no idea how you did it, but you made being a demigod worth living. I love you and I hope you feel the same." Percy was crying by the end of his speech, but grinning nevertheless.

"I love you, Percy Jackson." Percy nodded and tackled Jason to the ground in laughter.

"I love you too Jason Grace." Their noses were touching and the gap between their lips was soon closed.

______________________________________________________

"Papa, Daddy again, again!" Jason set the seven year toddler on the ground with her 3 year old son.

"We've already told you three times today, Annabeth." Annabeth pouted and gave them a big lip. Her big sea green eyes wide and seal like. Her curly blonde hair framed her petite face. She had a button nose and small lips.

Annabeth Beryl Jackson-Grace took her little brother Leo Luke Jackson'Grace into her arms and took his thumb out of his mouth. She scolded him lightly and bopped him on the nose and grinned. Leo giggled and flailed his arms around. His hair was jet black and he had striking blue eyes.

"Annabeth, Papa and Daddy are old and need naps!" said the 30-year-old Percy Jackson-Grace said childishly. Jason Jackson-Grace laced his hands into Percy's, his wedding ring flashing in the afternoon sun. Percy smiled at the thought of his wedding which included a lot of crying from Sally and blue foods.

"You don't act old around Aunt Piper, Aunt Hazel, Aunt Reyna, Uncle Leo, Uncle Frank..." She named off all of their friends saying her 'aunt's long and expressed. Jason and Percy looked at each other with loving eyes.

"Sweety, you forgot Grandpa Chiron," said Percy when Annabeth was done. Annabeth giggled.

"Alright. And Grandpa Chiron." Annabeth relented.

Leo flailed his arms again wildly and giggled madly. "Gwandpa Chiwon!"

"Yes, Grandpa Chiron and Grandpa Paul and Grandpa Poseidon!" Jason said grinning at the little kids tickling Leo's belly earning laughing and giggling from the tiny child.

Annabeth released Leo from her hands and he crawled away and played with the miny hellhound--Mrs. O'Leary 2.0 as Percy likes to call her. Annabeth ran with Leo and threw a large blue ball over 13 feet away.

"Aren't you glad we moved to New Rome and got that favor from the gods, Perce?" Jason rested his head on Percy's shoulder.

"Yeah, being near Zeus in New York was asking for a new prophecy about my death. I was too close in his reach. And thank gods for Apollo. Kids are great, but labor is not" Percy laughed.

"Now we can spend more time with Piper and Reyna and Hazel and Frank at Camp Jupiter! Plus, you wanted to be the one delivering them!" Jason grinned.

"I'll still miss CHB though," Jason smirked at Percy's statement.

"We visit every month!" Jason protested. He glanced over at Annabeth who was squealing as Mrs. O'Leary 2.0 licked her face.

"We do. We're finally at peace. Hopefully."

"Don't say that! We'll get jinxed, Kelp-Head!"

"Yeah, yeah. Over half the gods are afraid to approach me." Jason rolled his eyes.

"And the other half mostly hate your guts," Percy smirked.

"Yeah, they do."

"You're ridiculous."

"I like to think I'm unique."

"Seaweed Brain."

"Superman."

Percy glanced over at Annabeth and Leo. He then saw a faint figure watching them from under the shade of a tree. A tattered orange shirt and a camp necklace were obvious and curly blonde hair and striking grey eyes were staring lovingly at Annabeth and Leo.

"I love you Seaweed Brain. I'm happy for you." He heard the wind say. He could hear Annabeth Chase faintly, but he smiled anyways.

Thanks Wise Girl, thought Percy as grinned at her one last time before she faded away into the summer skies. A lemon scent filled his nose.

"You okay, Perce?" Jason asked looking at the joyous demigod.

"I'm alright, Jase." Percy assured, staring, loveingly into his husband's eyes.

"I'm alright." He repeated to himself.

Lightning flashed. Thunder rumbled.

This time, Jason doesn't have to come into Percy's room, because Jason is right by Percy's side.

It all comes back to.
