Jenny's POV

So it's the day after Bella was invited to the Spring dance by three different guys. Who she said no too. Anyway, today I will be helping out in the nurses office during my free period today. I usually volunteer on these days. The days Mr Banner decides to let everyone found out their blood types. I know I am O - like Bella. I'm sure she'll be paying the office a visit after lunch. The Cullens always skipped blood test lesson, probably because of the fresh blood.

Morning classes were boring as usual. Nothing eventful happened. I walked with Emmet to the cafeteria. I grabbed some food and then joined him at our table with the others. I frown in confusion. "Where's Edward?" I ask the others confused.

"Over there" Rosalie says looking annoyed. As she nods over my shoulder. I look and see Edward at a table alone. My frown deepens, why is he by himself. I see him beckon someone over and follow his eyes to see my sister with her friends. She left her friends at their table and joined him.

"That's odd" I state. "But I hope they will be able to clear up a few things" I add as I turn back to my food. "Edward has my sister very confused" I tell them.

"Does he?" Emmet asks amused and I nod my head.

"How would you feel if they became friends?" Jasper asks me and I shrug.

"Not really my business who she is friends with, besides I know Edward would never hurt her" I state.

"What if they dated?" Alice asks.

"Again, not my business. But if he breaks her heart, I break his face. No one hurts my little sister" I state and Emmet laughs. "Think I can't do it?" I ask him teasingly.

"I think you'd hurt yourself more then him" he says with a chuckle and I roll my eyes. I finish my food and said goodbye. I put my tray on the tray rack and rubbish in the bin. Before heading to the nurses office, which is connected to the school office.

"Hello Nurse Jenny" the school nurse says happily. I chuckle she always calls me that ever since I started helping her. "Ready for today?" she asks me.

"Yep and I'm sure my little sister will be one of the students paying us a visit today" I tell her. She nods her head. She sets up while I put on my nurse coat and name tag. Putting my hair up into a ponytail, before washing my hands. Not even ten minutes later Edward is let in carrying a faint Bella by Ms Cope.

"Oh my" the nurse says.

"Bella!" I exclaim in mild concern. I had said she'd be here.

"She fainted in Biology" Edward states. He placed Bella gently on the crackly paper that covered the brown vinyl mattress on the one cot. Then he moved to stand against the wall as far across the narrow room as possible. His eyes were bright, excited.

"She fainted?" I ask as the nurse heads over to Bella. That's so Bella.

"She's just a little faint" he corrects himself. "They're blood typing in Biology" he tells the nurse.

"There's always one" the nurse mumbles. Edward muffled a snicker. I wonder what has him so amused.

"Just lie down for a minute, honey; it'll pass" the nurse tells Bella.

"I know" Bella says with a sigh. Colour already starting to return to her checks. I grab her an ice pack.

"Does this happen a lot?" the nurse asks her.

"Sometimes" Bella answers as I hand her the ice pack. Edward coughed to hide another laugh. Honestly, it's not that funny. What's gotten into him recently?

"You can go back to class now" I tell him.

"I'm supposed to stay with her" he states. The nurse doesn't argue. She left us to return to her novel.

"You were right" Bella tells Edward.

"I usually am, but about what in particular this time?" he asks her.

"Ditching is healthy" Bella states trying to even her breathing.

"That's true" I agree as I sit beside her on the cot.

"You scared me for a minute there" Edward tells her. His tone made it sound like he was confessing a humiliating weakness. "I thought Newton was dragging your dead body off to bury it in the woods" he states. I chuckle.

"Mike kill someone? That's funny" I tell him.

"Ha ha" Bella says mockingly.

"Honestly, I've seen corpses with better color. I was concerned that I might have to avenge your murder" Edward tells us.

"Poor Mike. I'll bet he's mad" Bella states.

"He absolutely loathes me" Edward says happily.

"You can't know that" Bella argues.

"You'd be surprised, he is very good at reading people" I tell her.

"I saw his face, I could tell" Edward adds.

"How did you see me? I thought you were ditching" Bella states as she puts the ice pack on the table beside her.

"I was in my car, listening to a CD" Edward tells her. He's been doing that a lot since Bella arrived. Though it's not to surprising, I've seen him play piano. Music seems to sooth him. The nurse returns to check on Bella.

"You're looking better" she states.

"I think I'm fine" Bella tells her sitting up. The nurse goes to make her lay down again when Ms Cope pops her head into the room.

"We've got another one" she declares. Bella hopped down to free up the cot for the next invalid. I do the same.

"Here, I don't need this"  Bella says handing the cold pack to the nurse. Mike staggered through the door, now supporting a sallow-looking Lee Stephens, another boy in their Biology class. Edward, Bella, and I drew back against the wall to give them room.

"Oh no" Edward mutters. "Go out to the office, Bella, Jenny" he tells us. Bella looks up at him bewildered as I headed for the door. "Trust me" he tells her and they follow me out. "You actually listened to me" he says surprised once we were outside the nurses office.

"I smelled the blood" she mutters.

"People can't smell blood" Edward contradicted her.

"Well, I can, that's what makes me sick. It smells like rust and salt" Bella states. He was staring at Bella with an unfathomable expression.

"Honestly Bella, it's not that bad" I tell her.

"You have nerves of steel" she states. Mike came through the door then. The look he gave Edward confirmed what Edward had said about loathing.

"You look better" he says looking at Bella.

"Just keep your hand in your pocket" she tells him.

"It's not bleeding anymore" he mutters. "Are you going back to class?" he asks.

"Are you kidding? I'd just have to turn around and come back" Bella tells him.

"Yeah, I guess. So are you going this weekend? To the beach?" he asks.

"Sure, I said I was in" Bella tells him.

"Can I come to?" I ask them. It'd been weeks since I'd last gone to La Push.

"Of course you can" Bella tells me with a smile. Looking relieved.

"We're meeting at my dad's store, at ten" Mike tells us.

"We'll be there" I assure him.

"I'll see you in Gym, then" he says to Bella.

"See you" she says and he left. "Gym" Bella groans. Once he was out of sight and ear shot.

"I can take care of that" Edward and I tell her. We smile at each, obviously thinking the same thing. "Go sit down and look pale" he tells her. We reenter the office.

"Nurse Judy, my sister still isn't looking a 100%" I tell her.

"Bella has Gym next hour, and I don't think she feels well enough" Edward adds. She looks out the door window and sees Bella. "Actually, I was thinking I should take her home now. Do you think you could excuse her from class?" he asks.

"I would myself, but I still have class after free period" I add.

"Do you need to be excused, too, Edward?" she asks him.

"No, I have Mrs. Goff, she won't mind" he assures her. "I'll have Ms Cope tell her" he adds. She nods and writes a note for Bella. "I'll have Alice drop Bella's truck off" he tells me. I nod my head and he left with Bella. I return to the nurses office and clean up the mess Lee had made. He was laying on the cot with the ice pack.

The rest of the school day was uneventful. I handed Bella's note to her gym teacher before going to my final class. I meet Alice by Bella and my cars in the parking lot. "Just follow me" I tell her and she nods her head. We drive to my house and she parks Bella's truck. "Need a lift home?" I ask her.

"No, Edward will pick me up soon" she assures me.

"You can come in out of the rain to wait" I tell her.

"I'll be fine" she assures me. I nod and head inside to get out of the pounding rain. I head upstairs to change into dry clothes.

"You're back" Bella says surprised.

"So is your truck" I state nodding to the window. I change and go put my wet clothes in the wash. I then join Bella in our room and start on my homework.
