Bella Moving to Forks

Jennifer Helen Swan is Bella's year older half sister. Aside from her grandparents dying, her life was perfect. Until Charlie meet Renee while she was only on holiday and married her. Don't get me wrong, Jenny loved her step mum. And the thought about being a big sister.

But things went down hill fast for the small family. Then Renee divorced Charlie and left with Bella, who was only a few months old. This really upset Jenny, she'd lost the only mother she'd ever known and her little sister. Then not long after she lost both her grandparents. Her heart grew cold, she vowed never to love anyone again. Aside from her dad of course, but no one else. In fear of losing anyone else she loves.

She hated it when her half sister made their dad vacation in California with her for two weeks the last three summers. Instead of coming to Forks like usual. Which meant Jenny had to stay with Billy Black in La Push. Sure she got along with the Black family and liked La Push. It just felt like Charlie preferred Bella over her, which made her loath her little sister more.

Jenny was a loner at school, always pushing people away. That was until two years ago and the Cullens arrived in town. She was asked to show Rosalie and Emmet around as they were in her year. "Hello, I'm Jenny and I'll be your tour guide today" she had drawled.

"I'm Emmet, my girl friend Rosalie" he introduced.

"Girl friend?" Jenny asked confused.

"We're foster kids, not blood related" Rosalie clarified.

"Oh, well lets get on with the tour then" Jenny told them. She kept the tour short, then said good bye. At lunch the Cullens joined Jenny at her table for some reason. She ignored them as she focused on her sketch of a jacket.

"That's good" Alice stated.

"Thanks" Jenny drawled.

"You're a designer?" she asked.

"Trying to be" Jenny answered.

"Think I could wear some of your designs?" Alice asked.

"Sure" Jenny told her with a small smile. So began her unusual friendship with the Cullens. She was the only human who would be friends with them. When she told the Black sisters, they told her about the superstition their dad had about the Cullens. So Jenny did research and theorized the Cullens were vampires, but never said anything. Or thought about it at school. Besides she has no proof their vampires.

Anyway things change again when Bella decides to come live with Jenny and their dad permanently. At least until she graduates next year. Which meant Jenny would have to share her room with her half sister. Who is both selfless and selfish at the same time.

(Preface) Jenny's POV

I'd never given much thought to how I would die. Though I've never had a reason to think about it. Until now. But even if I had to die, I would not have imagined it like this. I stared without breathing across the long room, into the dark eyes of the hunter, and he looked pleasantly back at my little sister. Who lays on a pile of glass blooding. Surely it was a good way to die, in the place of someone else, someone I loved. Noble, even. That ought to count for something.

I knew that if Bella had never gone to Forks, we wouldn't be facing death now. But, terrified as I was, I couldn't bring myself to regret her decision. Or mine in coming here. As the hunter bared down on my little sister I yelled her name and got in between them raising my arms in defense. I felt a searing pain in my arm as the hunter bite down on it.

(Present)

I sigh as I finished setting up Bella's bed for her. Dad had gone to get her from the airport. Honestly why couldn't she of stayed in Phoenix? Why does she want to ruin my life? First she took my dad away for two weeks the last three summers, now she's moving in permanently until she finishes high school. Not caring about how it'll affect me.

I hear them return and see dad park his car between my old camero and Bella's new truck. Which he had brought her from Billy Black. Honestly, I had to buy my own car. Honestly, why does Bella get special treatment? Spoiled brat. Though at least my car is newer then hers.

"Jenny!" dad calls and I sigh heading downstairs.

"Hi dad, nice drive?" I ask him.

"It was fine" he states as he hands me Bella's luggage. Seriously, she's not disabled let her carry her own stuff. "Show Bella to your room" he tells me.

"Whatever" I say and wave for Bella to follow me. I lead her upstairs to our shared room. "Your bed is by the window, I hope purple is ok" I state. As I put her stuff down on her bed.

"Purple is cool" she mutters. "How have you been Jenny?" she asks me.

"Like you care" I grumble. "I'll leave you to unpack" I add and left the room. I head back downstairs.

"Your sister ok?" dad asks me as I enter the living room.

"She's fine, just unpacking" I tell him.

"That's good, I hope you will watch over her tomorrow at school" he tells me.

"Seriously dad, she's seventeen" I remind him.

"She's still your little sister, I expect you to take care of her" he tells me matter of factly.

"Fine" I grumble and he goes to the kitchen to start on dinner. As I set the table for the three of us. Bella appears as dad serves the food. We all start to eat.

"So you excited for school tomorrow Bells?" dad asks her.

"I guess" she answers.

"Well you have any trouble, just ask Jenny for help" he tells her. "Speaking of, can you please show your sister the way to school?" he asks me.

"Dad, it's just off the high way. It's not hard to find" I remind him.

"Jenny, please" he says.

"Fine" I grumble. I finish my dinner and washed my plate. "Good night dad" I say and go to my room. Well mine and Bella's room. I seat on my pale pink bed and started to do my maths homework. Which is due tomorrow. Bella soon enters the room.

"What'cha doing?" she asks me curious.

"Homework" I drawl.

"Is something wrong?" she asks as she sits on her bed.

"Yes, you're here" I state.

"I thought you'd be happy" she says looking confused.

"Your both selfless and selfish Bella" I tell her. "Selfless because you came here so that your mother would be happy. And can travel with her new husband Phil. Selfish because you didn't think how it'd effect my life or dads" I explain.

"I'm sorry" she says sheepishly.

"Whatever" I say as I finish my homework. I turn off my bedside lamp. "Good night" I tell her. I get under my pale pink coloured covers with blossoms on it and fall asleep quickly. Used to the pitter patter of the rain on the bedroom window.
