Chapter 61. Dan's Gift.
There were two letters in there. They both were addressed to her. One was from her dad and the other was from Dan.
(Jenny staring at the letters)... (I know it's Emma but oh well)... ... Jenny took a look at Dan's letter first. His writing was really neater than their dads and more printed. ... He inserted a picture of her inside his letter.
(Premade isn't mine so full credit to whoever made it. Same thing with the Emma one).... ... "Dear Jenny". The letter began. "You were just a girl from Brooklyn". "How did things change so much?". Jenny read as she could hear Dan's voice in her head. ... "We promised we wouldn't let their world change us, remember where we came from." "We came from barely anything and now we could have everything". "You had everything". "From the moment of Blair's sleepover, I knew you would change. I know you promised me you wouldn't. But deep down I knew it wasn't the truth. You became like them. You lost what made you special. You became so obsessed with what was in and you HAD to have it. I know I would soon give it to their world. But together we could've stayed strong, I love you Jen, you're my sister and I'm so sorry for how this life has treated you. You deserved better. I should've treated you better. And God!. Chuck Bass, Jenny!. Chuck Freaking Bass!. I know what happened wasn't your fault or maybe it was. But he did damage for our family and for that I can't stand to be around him but I will be there for you and your child. My nephew. Even if he his part Bass. Anyways, I hope you have a good shower!. I wanted to deliver this letter in person but I don't know if I can". Love Always, Dan. ... After reading Dan's letter, Jenny cried for a few minutes by herself. She knew then that her brother didn't hate her. He just hated the mistakes that she made. She knew she changed and she hated who she became, she kept the baby to show and prove to herself she could own up to her mistakes and not let her child be a mistake or a regret. ... There was still one letter left and it was from her dad. She didn't know if she should read it but she did anyways... ... Jenny opened the letter ...
(Rufus's letter to Jenny, it's her name when she opens it.. Letter will be below...). .... "Dear Jenny". The letter began. "Now, I'm not sure what Dan wrote but we sealed it up together. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for your baby shower. I know my problems with Lilly aren't yours to bear, hopefully we can work out things. As for the shower. I hope your son is growing well. How far along are you now?. If you ever need anything you know where to find me. Or if you ever want to make a visit to the loft in Brooklyn. Now I know you think I don't approve of the baby. That's not true. I just. It's Chuck, I know he hurt you. But I swear if he ever does anything else to you or the baby you better let me know!, I'm still your father and your still my daughter and I'll always look out for you. Hopefully I can stop by later on in the week and make a visit with you and see the nursery. Serena's been telling everyone...". Jenny laughed a little. Serena was never one for keeping secrets. She knew her dad would be there if he could but hopefully he and Lilly fix their problems. "Love you, Dad". And the letter ended. Jenny smiled. Least they both cared about her.
