Once an engine attached to a train was afraid of a few drops of rain. It went into a tunnel and squeaked through its funnel, and wouldn't come out again.

The engine's name is Nikki. Her unicorn pony driver friend Sugar Belle argued with her, but she would not move. "Come on please, Nikki. There is nothing to be afraid of few drops of rain." Pleaded Sugar Belle. "No thank you! The rain will spoil my lovely black paint and red stripes." She retorted.

The conductor blew his whistle till he had no more breath, and waved his flag till his arms ached, but Nikki still stayed in the tunnel and blew steam at him. "I'm not going to spoil my lovely black paint and red stripes for any of you, can all of you just leave me alone!" She screeched. "Oh me oh my, how Princess Snow White going to mad like this if Nikki never wanted come out of the tunnel at all." Groaned Sugar Belle with a facehoof.

And she was right, then along came Princess Snow White aka The Royal Controller, the young princess of charge of all the engines on the continent of Strodas.

"We will pull and push you out, Nikki." Said Princess Snow White. But Nikki only blew steam at her. "Oh me oh my!" Sugar Belle appalled.

Everyone pulled along with Princess Snow White, but still, Nikki stayed in the tunnel. Then, they tried pushing from the other end, said, "Okay everyone, one, two, three, push!"

They tried to pushed, and pushed, and pushed, but still, Nikki stayed in the tunnel. At last, Jennifer came along. The conductor waved his red flag and stopped her. Everyone argued with Nikki.

"Look, it has stopped raining." They said.

"Yes, but it will began again soon. And what will become with black paint with red stripes then?" Said Nikki.

Jennifer pushed and puffed and pushed as hard as ever she could.

But still Nikki stayed in the tunnel.

Eventually, even Princess Snow White gave up. "That is it, Nikki! I had enough of your silly fear of rain! As punishment for your scared stubborn attitude of yours, we shall take away your rails, and leave you here until you're ready to come out of the tunnel." Said Princess Snow White with stern words."If you still being a stuck up for your ridiculous fear of rain forever, so be it!" Sugar Belle added.

They took up the old rails, and built a wall in front of Nikki, so the other engines wouldn't bump into her.

All Nikki could do was to watch the trains rushing through the other tunnel. She was very sad, because she thought no-one would see her lovely black paint and red stripes again. As time went on, Sean, Aurora and Duncan would often pass by. Sean and Aurora would say: Peep, peep! "Hello there, Nikki!" "Hiya, Nikki!' And Duncan would say: boop, boop, boop! "Serves ye richt, ye muckle scaredy coward."

Poor Nikki had no steam to answer. Her fire had gone out. Soot and dirt from the tunnel had spoilt her lovely black paint with red stripes anyway. How long do you think Nikki would stay in the tunnel before she overcomes her fear of the rain, and decides to journey out again? (All in good time for Nikki will learn her lesson the hard way, but in the meantime, we will explore of Sean and Aurora, and the old express coaches.)
