Again I will say SPOILERS are coming! If you don't want to be spoiled I wouldn't advise reading this. But if you don't care or have seen the episode then let's go. Also this may be a long review. My brain is still trying to process all of this.

Ok so the very first scene CINDER IS BACK!! For those of you theorizing that the girl with the yellowish brown hood thing was Neo it's not. But that doesn't mean she won't come back.

So turns out the vault doesn't have a bottomless pit it just goes into a lake and the water melted the ice. Also it was weird that Cinder's flames were so weak, I don't know if that's due to her injuries or if the water snuffed the flames out. And the fact that the lake connects to a cave makes me think that they could've just gone through the cave to get to the vault instead of going through the school but that's just my opinion. Now for the lady Cinder stole the hood from I wonder if she killed her or just knocked her out.

Now flashback scene from the end of volume 5 after they saved Haven. First we just get basic stuff, Ruby talking about taking the relic to Atlas and Weiss being upset at the fact that she just escaped from Atlas and now has to go back. Though I will say I love CRWBY poking fun at themselves when they have Nora say "well bright side, we finally get out of this house." Also don't think I didn't notice Yang looking sad when Qrow mentioned that the Spring Maiden was gone.

Ok so now we have plot, apparently their plan is to get to a military base in Argus and talk to one of the soldiers about getting them to Ironwood. Hopefully that soldier will be Winter because I want to see her again.

Apparently the relic can answer three questions every 100 years as long as they're about the past or present. So I think that confirms people's speculations about it being based on the lamp from Aladdin. Also just to make it more obvious Nora even asks "can we ask for more questions" with Ren replying that "they aren't wishes." Unfortunately it seems that they relic's question answering power has already been used up for this century...bummer. Oh and the relic can change size too if anyone was curious as to why it's been so small these past few episodes.

Now back to the present team RWBY plus Qrow, Oscar, and Mecha goggles Granny are still recovering from the train crash. Speaking of the old lady it turns out her name is Maria Calavera and according to her "I am not defenseless. I'm just a little hard of hearing. And blind without my eyes which are in desperate need of repair." So yeah her goggles are basically her eyes.

Once again the topic is brought up about Ozpin lying despite promising no more lies or half truths. Because while he did say what the lamp did he didn't say it attracted Grimm.

Now this next scene had so many feels in it. Ozpin reveals that the reason he didn't tell the group about the relic attracting Grimm because he was afraid it would add even more negativity and anxiety to their already stressful mission. For what Ozpin said next I do agree that it was good that they didn't make Lionheart look like a bad guy because he wasn't really but it wasn't right to do it just so the citizens wouldn't catch on that something bad is going on. Also yeah Ozpin I agree with Yang, Leo didn't just make a tiny mistake he betrayed his whole kingdom and kinda was the reason that Cinder and her crew got to the Vytal Festival even if he was doing it just because he was scared. According to Oz Lionheart was also an entirely different person all together before Salem took control, I wish we could've met the real Leo.

So apparently the reason Ozpin is still keeping them in the dark is because he's had many people even before Lionheart betray him and he doesn't want it to happen again. Look man I get it you have trust issues but these kids are literally putting their lives on the line for you and you don't seem to care enough to let them know everything. And I do agree with Ruby it seemed like Ozpin was lying about all the times he said he trusted humanity.

Onto the next part of this scene and it seems Ozpin's lies are catching up to him. He wants to hold the relic even though he claimed that it can't do anything right now. Well that's because it turns out that the relic can still actually do something, it's harboring a genie like spirit named Jinn.

Hmm I know I've seen that somewhere before

Ah that's right.

Also if any of you are listening the voice of Jinn is Colleen Clinkenbeard who some of you may know as Riza Hawkeye from FMAB, Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail and Momo Yaoyorozu from MHA/BNHA.

But before we can learn more about Jinn let's check in with Cinder shall we?

As we learned from Volume 5 Mistral is known for its criminal underground. As Cinder walks into a tavern we meet the woman in purple from the trailer Lil' Miss Malachite or as she calls herself "Lil' Miss I'm Gonna Skin You Alive If You Ever Take That Tone With Me Again." (She's voiced by Luci Christian who plays Ochaco Uraraka in MHA/BNHA, Truth in FMAB, Wrath in FMA, and Medusa in Soul Eater). Anyway she's hilarious and has a big thick southern accent. Oh and in the background of the tavern the curtain has the same markings from the tavern in the opening when Cinder is fighting someone. So yeah she's there to find teams RWBY and JNR as if we didn't already know. Cinder is told that in a week they'll find who she's looking for. However as soon as she leaves the female bodyguard asks their boss why she lied since they actually already know where they are and told a "big guy" about it (I'm assuming Hazel).
Malachite admits that the reason she did that is so Cinder will stay in Mistral and she can sell her whereabouts to anyone who comes looking for her.

Also this was creepy but Malachite mentioned that she used to be afraid of spiders but then she learned how to make the spiders work for her. And all the members of the tavern plus herself and her bodyguards have spider web tattoos.

Back with Ruby and the others it turns out that Jinn is a being created by the god of light to give humans knowledge. And surprise surprise Ozpin lied, it turns out the lamp still has two questions left. Oh and Jinn knows who Ozpin is too and about his ability to reincarnate which makes sense.

Ok I'll admit I got nervous when Qrow stepped forward looking like he was going to defend Ozpin and the girls minus Ruby readied their weapons. Weiss even pointed her weapon at Qrow's chest. But I'm glad Qrow let them ask the questions. And what does Ruby ask? What is Ozpin hiding from us. And as Ozpin rushes to seemingly grab Ruby we are pulled into a flash back of Beacon.

To end the episode Jinn narrates a story about Beacon tower which was once home to a lonely girl named.....Salem.
That's right everyone, the blonde girl in the intro standing by the statue of Ozpin is Salem while she was still human.

And on that cliffhanger the episode ends.
