It had been so long since I had been out of the cave, so many years, no food (except for the fish that swam into my cave, but had to eat raw), no sunlight, I was so hungry, but I was no siren, I wasn't going to eat a human by luring them to me by song, but then I started to sing in hopes of being rescued, my tail had been chained to the wall, I just sang, I started to cry, but you couldn't tell because of the water around me, I just kept singing.

Bill's P.O.V.

I was walking around the forest when I heard the sound of singing from the lake with a waterfall, I walked to it and sat at the edge and listened to the beautiful lyrics, "are you, are you, coming to the lake? Where they pushed in a man, they said for human's sake, sad things did happen here and always will they be, if you met, at midnight at the lake with me." The song was sung over and over, I finally took off my shirt and I jumped in, I swam to the cave, but I ran out of air, so I swam back to the surface and I took a very deep breath, then I swam back to the cave, I managed to make the bars (which looked like they were naturally grown) and I swam in, then I saw her, a girl with a sunset orange mermaid tail, then she noticed me, and the look on her face.
