Chapter 8
Jack's POV
I gathered all the boys at my place. Yes, ALL the boys. Even Aster. He and I don't really get along but hey, times are desperate.
"So, what is it Jack?" Sandy asked.
"No relationship goals yet?" Eugene teased.
"I asked Elsa out on a date this weekend." I sighed.
"So? Man up and do your job!" Aster patted my shoulder.
"Do your boyfriend's responsibility!" North added.
"Hold on, where are you bringing her?" Hiccup asked.
"I'm just thinking one of the local restaurants around here." I replied. "Should I change it?"
"I think it'll do just fine." Kristoff smiled.
"That's the thing, help..." I moaned.
Oddly, I seemed to be invisible of some sort. The boys had a conversation of their own, totally ignoring me. Guys! Oh come on! Hello?! Anyone there?!
"We can hear you, shut up for goodness sake!" Aster yelled.
"Did I say all that out loud?" I asked.
"Every single word." Sandy giggled. "We're having a discussion on what you can do on that date."
Eugene suddenly stood up and pushed me all the way to my room. "Hey!" I protested.
"Have some time to think, Frost. Quietly in your room, you think, we think as well. But we need your opinions, that's the key to the date." Eugene explained.
I nodded and Eugene pushed me down on the bed then closed the door. I grabbed my pillow and lied down. On a date, you'll usually be needing a gift first. Chocolates are the only thing I can think of. Elsa loves chocolates. Or should I get flowers? Too cliché. But it's also the safest way. Let's just see what the guys have to say.
Rule number one of a date is to definitely, NOT SCREW UP.
So, how about chocolates and roses? To be honest, I still haven't thought of what I'm going to do on this date. I have to make everything perfect.
North knocked on the door and came in. "Your thoughts cleared up?"
"No." I sighed, walking with him back to the rest.
"Guest of honour is here!" Kristoff joked.
I sat down, my mind was still confused. "Describe Elsa." Hiccup commanded.
"Describe? But there's so much about her. And what does describing have anything to do with this?" I asked.
"It's process, now do it." Aster snapped.
"Well uh... " I started. "She's got the eyes, and this hair, and her smile? Oh.... She's so smart, practical, beautiful, talented, wonderful personality. The look in her eyes, the smile on her face, the sound of her laughter, the cheerfulness of her personality, what more could a boy ask for..."
The rest just stared at me, some were trying to hide their laughter. Yeah, I know what I just said, it's something I never said before, and it's funny.
"Thanks for that." Sandy grinned.
"So, what now? Do I still need to go on? I have a list." I said.
"We don't really need to know how you feel about Elsa." Eugene stated.
"Then why did you ask me all that?!" I yelled.
"He means that you don't have to exaggerate that much, genius." Hiccup rolled his eyes.
"You know what? Why did I even ask you all here." I said angrily.
"OK, fine!" Aster stood up. "We can go out right now!"
"I'm sorry, all right?!" I shouted. Knowing that apology wasn't really sincere, I took in some deep breaths to calm myself down. "Look, I'm sorry about that. It's just this date is stressing me out. I love Elsa, it's just that she doesn't love me back right now."
Aster cooled off as well. Thank goodness, otherwise he'd be taking his trusty boomerang out and trust me, you do not want to know what happens next. "Sorry about overreacting." Aster let out a sigh.
Set off on that new record! I tried not to laugh. Usually, we don't resolve conflict this fast, so that's why it's a new record. Perhaps it's time for a change.
"Feeling better now you two?" North smiled.
"Um... Yeah." Aster led out his hand. "Friends?"
What kind of stupid question is that, I asked in my mind. "Sure thing bro." I smiled and shook his hand.
Now, it's all back to Elsa. The girl of my dreams, I might add. I'm already lucky enough to meet a girl like her to be my best friend, and I would like to spend the rest of my life with her. I mentally slapped myself, you're thinking too far Jack. A relationship has gotta come first before all that. Without realising it, I drifted off to daydreaming.
"Jack? Jackson Frost!" Sandy snapped his fingers, starling me.
"Huh?" I blurted out.
"Someone just went to paradise." Hiccup laughed.
"I can't help it." I chuckled nervously. "I've had so many dreams about Elsa, I would never forget them. I just wish I could dream about that again and again. I'm truly in paradise at that time."
"And you just want that to happen in reality." Eugene smiled. "This dare is your chance, make it count."
"Yes, I will!" I saluted Eugene.
"Ah love, so simple yet so complicated." Kristoff let out a sigh.
Hiccup and Eugene joined in the sigh. They have their own dates, so they know plenty. Still waiting for Aster though, hehe. He's head over heels for Tooth.
"So, are we here to help Jack or are you three here to think of your girlfriends?" North broke the silence.
"Find yourself a girlfriend, it's the best and worst time of your life." Eugene joked.
"All right all right, where are you bringing her, Jack?" Hiccup asked.
So I told them about the restaurant, the time I'm fetching Elsa, what I intend to do, stuff like that. The boys were a great help, their ideas are far better than mine. Now we're just having a debate on which one's best. I can't do it all!
And finally, we came to an agreement. I'll be....
HA! Like I'm gonna be giving any spoilers about the date ;p. Stay tuned! Hope you guys are liking it so far!
