Chapter 13

Elsa's POV

Anna and I arrived at school and I just stormed into school without her. I was in a very bad mood and do not, I repeat, do not ask me why.

I grabbed my books and slammed my locker shut, walking straight to my first class. I didn't really look at where I was going and I bumped into this person with brown hair.

"Hey! Watch where you're going!" I shouted angrily. My words were literally echoing at the quiet hallway. Everyone was looking at us.

"I'm sorry." The boy replied, grabbed his books and scurried off.

A sudden rush of guilt struck me. Oh dear, what have I done?! I looked back to see the boy, but he was gone. I didn't even get a good look at his face, how will I know who he was?! All I know he was wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.

I was so busy staring into nothing that I didn't realise Jack was behind me. "Bad morning?" He asked.

"Yeah..." I sighed. "Didn't mean to cause trouble though."

"Just cool off about it. See ya later, Snowflake." He gave me a kiss on the cheek and walked off.

I sighed again. It's not that I don't like it, I'm just not comfortable with Jack calling me Snowflake. I walked down the hallway, a couple of people giving me glares and I ignored them. I took a deep breath, calming myself down, and went into class. Punzie, North, Hiccup and Tooth weren't there yet. Guess they're late.

I sat at my usual seat and looked around. Then I noticed that the boy I bumped into was in the same class as me, just a few rows behind me. His head was low, almost burying himself into a book.
I stood up and walked to him. "Is this seat taken?" I asked politely.

"No." He replied without lifting his head up.

And so I sat beside him. "Look," I tapped on his shoulder. "I'm sorry about yelling at you back there."

He finally lifted his head up, looking at me."I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going and I wasn't feeling good." I said to him.

His face caught my attention. I can't think straight, I feel like... I know him. But how?

"I'm sorry too." He smiled at me. "Let's start over. I'm Ev-"

"Evan?" I blurted out.

"Yes... Yes! How did you know that?" He asked, surprised. "Do I know you?"

"It's me, Elsa!" I replied.

"Elsa? Wait, the Elsa? No way! You look so different! You've changed so much. Long time no see!" Evan asked.

"Oh my gosh, it's really you?!" I couldn't believe my eyes.

You see, Evan was a great friend of mine when I was a little girl. We used to play all day long together since he was my neighbour. I'd go to his house or he'd go to mine and we'll play for hours. Oh, what memories! But sadly, he had to move one day and that was the last time I ever saw him.

"When did you move back here?" Was the only question I could ask. "It's been... 10 years since I last saw you!"

"You got that right! I thought I would never see you again." Evan smiled widely. "Who would have thought that I could meet my good friend that I thought I wouldn't meet again when I was 6?!"

"Where did you move to? You didn't tell me back then." I asked.

Before Evan could reply, Punzie came to me. "Hey Elsa! Who's this?"

"Oh Punzie! Meet my friend, Evan. We're childhood friends." I introduced.

"Nice to meet you. The name's Punzie." Punzie shook his hand.

"Likewise." Evan said.

Punzie went to join the rest that were already here. Evan nudged me. "We have so much catching up to do!"

"You don't say?" I crossed my arms. "When did you come back?!"

"Last week. My dad got transferred." Evan replied. "And... Here I am, in this school. With you!"

I pulled him into a hug. Oh I missed him so much! I remember that I was really sad when he went away. How I missed those days.

"Someone sure has changed." Evan whispered. I just smiled.

"Now then mister, you better tell me everything there is!" I commanded.

*Time skip*

I dragged Evan all the way to our table. I wanted him to meet everyone. He might have agreed to eat with me but guess not! I didn't even tell Jack about him yet. Jack did ask why I was behaving a little strange. I just told him it was a surprise.

"Elsa, I'm not-"

"No excuses!" I cut in, wanting to laugh.

Jack saw me and waved. He saw Evan as well and gave me a questioning look.

"Who's this?" Jack asked.

"Everyone, I'd like you to meet my friend, Evan." I said, pushing Evan forward.

Anna dropped her fork, looking at me in amazement. "Wait a second..." She was a closer to him.

"Anna?" "Evan?" Both of them said at the same time.

"Well I'll say! You've changed a lot!" Anna exclaimed.

Jack came a little closer to me. "How did you know him?"

"Friends since childhood." I simply said.
