Chapter 10
Jack's POV
My heart was racing, I was panicking. Questions were all around me. Do I look fine? Do I have everything that I need? What time is is already?!
All right, calm down there Jack, you're just gonna fetch Elsa, take her to dinner. Oh! And our agreement that day with the rest of the boys. I looked at my watch, perhaps I should get going. I looked at myself in the mirror, my hair was still a mess, I couldn't do anything to make it better anyway.
I stepped out of my room, fetching the car keys.
"Oooh, someone's dressed up nice." Emma teased.
I threw her a smile and went into the car, driving off to Elsa's house. I took a couple of deep breaths, easing myself. Elsa came out almost instantly of her house. Wow, she looked gorgeous! It's simple yet beautiful.
I quickly got out of the car and opened the door for her, being a gentleman. After that, I went back in.
I reached for the roses at the back seat, handing them to Elsa. "For you." I smiled.
"Aww, thanks Jack. But you didn't really have to get me roses, just you is enough." Elsa said.
Just me is enough? I think I'm on an all high right now! I could feel my face getting warmer. Oh gosh this is embarrassing.
"You're blushing." Elsa giggled.
"Can't help it, Snowflake." I stated. Snowflake is the perfect nickname for Elsa. "Wow Elsa, you look really nice."
"Thanks. You look nice too, very... Fashionable!" Elsa complimented back.
I wasted no time and drove to the beach. No one has dinner at 6pm anyway! It's too early.
"Are we eating here?" Elsa asked as we arrived.
"Enjoy the moment first." I smiled.
I held her hand, thank goodness Elsa did so willingly. We had a lovely stroll on the white, sandy beach. Or as I would like to call it, a romantic walk!
Without realising it, it was sundown. Elsa and I sat on a bench, looking at the beautiful sunset.
After we were done, we headed to the restaurant. (Sorry can't think of any names) I had already booked at table for us. And can I just say this again, Elsa looks gorgeous!
I just couldn't look at the menu, Elsa got my attention, all of it. "So... Do you know what you're gonna order?" Elsa asked.
"Huh? Oh right, I forgot to look at the menu." I chuckled nervously.
The waiter came to the table, ready with a pen and a notebook. "So what can I get for you two?" He asked.
"I'll have the spaghetti." Elsa said.
"Excellent choice. And for you, sir?" He turned to me.
"Oh I'll... I'll just have the first thing on the menu." I said. I didn't really care, Elsa's covering all of my mind! She's amazing.
The waiter nodded and took our menus away. I knew I was smiling like a total idiot right now.
"Hey uh.. Jack?" Elsa asked.
I quickly snapped out of it. "Yes?"
"What is your opinion about this dare? You know, that we have to date each other, looking like a couple?" Elsa continued.
I froze, not knowing what to say. You see, I don't really wanna confess that I like her, yet. Think of something, quick! "It's... Great! Quite possibly the best time of my life." I blurted out.
"And why do you say that?"
"Well, it's not everyday you get dared to do something as crazy as this. Besides, it's with my best friend! That will make us closer?"
"Yeah, I guess. Closer but not too close. Where have you got your head to with the dare?"
"Nowhere. Relax, it's not gonna get us too close." I lied, feeling a little sad that Elsa hasn't thought of us being a couple. I have thought of it countless amount of times. But of course, I can't rush these feelings.
The waiter returned with our food. "Miss, sir." He handed Elsa's spaghetti and mine which looks like a bowl of soup. Great, now I wished I looked properly at the menu.
"You sure soup is enough for dinner?" Elsa asked after the waiter walked away.
"Hey, they say it's good to order simple on your first date." I giggled.
"Really?" Elsa asked, unconvinced.
I nodded sheepishly at Elsa and sipped my soup. Oh man, it was burning hot! SPICY!!! What is this soup?! I tried to gulp down some water but it didn't help. "Jack, you ok? You look really red." Elsa stated.
"Hot, hot, hot, hot soup!" I replied, feeling my face burning.
Elsa quickly handed me another glass of water. It wasn't helping at all! "Excuse me Elsa!" I said as I rushed to the wash room.
I filled up the sink quickly and I dunked my face into the sink that was full of water. Finally, that cooled me down. I looked at the mirror, I was in a horrible mess.
Still, I couldn't be here forever, I tried to dry myself and head back to Elsa. This has been the most embarrassing date ever. She saw me and laughed. My smile soon turned into laughter as well.
"Feeling better?" Elsa asked, trying to stop laughing.
"Yeah... Yeah." I replied.
"Next time, order something proper." Elsa ruffled my hair. "Something that you are sure you can handle to eat it."
*Time skip*
We exited the restaurant. (Miraculously, I managed to finish the soup) "What a day! Thanks Jack." Elsa smiled at me.
"You're very welcome. Anything for the lady." I complimented.
"Aww..." Elsa was flattered. "Anyway, we better get home. You look like you need some rest."
I nodded, going into the car. Actually, I didn't wanna end our date that fast, but it's getting late. It was a great date, but it could have been better if I didn't mess it up. What was the rule again? Oh right,
DON'T MESS UP
And yet what did I do? Mess up! You idiot, Jack!
Minutes later, we reached Elsa's house. "Good night Jack." Elsa smiled and went down.
"Good night Elsa." I smiled back.
DON'T FORGET TO
