Chapter 9: A warning (2)
Jack's POV
"Welcome home, kids!" I greeted Eliza and Elijah. Both of them ran in with Kristine, Kristen, Jessica, Jenna, Harold, Henry and another boy. "Kids?" I asked. "Do you have another project again?"
"We're safe here, right?" Eliza panted.
"Why? Did something happen?" Elsa came out from the kitchen.
"Mom, dad, we need you to call all of their parents here!" Elijah stated.
"Do you mean Anna and the rest?" Elsa turned to me.
"Yes, call my mom, dad, Jessica and Jenna's, Harold and Henry's!" Kristine said quickly.
"What's the emergency?!" I asked.
"Just hurry!" The boy all in black said.
"And who's this? A new friend?" Elsa asked.
"Oh mom, dad, this is Shade." Eliza introduced. I immediately thought something was not right with that boy. All in black, golden eyes. Pitch? He looked a little bit like him.
"Pitch?" I blurted out.
"How did you know?" Shade exclaimed. "I'm Pitch's so called, so called, son."
I was all ready to blast him with my powers but Elijah quickly stopped me. "No dad, Shade is good! Not evil! Don't harm him!"
"This is why Shade is with us today. He gave us a warning about Pitch. Shade was asked to spy on us but he didn't want to." Kristine explained. "Shade's a good person, uncle. Unlike his 'sister', Sabrina."
"Wait, how do all of you even know about Pitch?" Elsa asked.
"Umm...." All of the kids said at the same time. "Never mind about that, call our parents first!" Harold cut in.
I looked at them weirdly and fished out my phone. I simply sent Anna, Kristoff, Eugene, Punzie, Hiccup and Merida a text for them to come. All of them came in a jiffy.
"So, all of you were here!" Hiccup crossed his arms. "Another one of those projects?" Merida asked.
"Hey look, it's... Mini Pitch?" Anna giggled, pointing towards Shade.
"Hi, I'm Shade." Shade said. "Shade Black."
"Hold it, hold it! You called us here to kill him?!" Eugene asked.
"No, Shade here is the son of Pitch. He is not like Pitch, he's good." Jenna replied.
"Please stop!" Kristen said loudly. "Shade has a warning for us."
"Wait, how much can we trust this Shade? What if it's a trap?" Punzie asked.
"Mom, don't accuse Shade!" Jessica begged. "He's not like Pitch! He's a good friend!"
"Prove it." Anna challenged.
"Prove?!" Elijah exclaimed.
"The proof was his first day in school." Eliza crossed his arms.
"Yeah, he came with Sabrina, his... Sister?" Kristine started. "Shade and Sabrina walked up to us. Shade politely asked for some directions but Sabrina rudely cut him off. Shade was very friendly to us while Sabrina wasn't! THAT'S the proof!"
"Well, this new friend of yours could be pretending to be friendly with you to become the perfect spy under cover." Eugene argued.
"No, no, no, I'm not!" Shade denied. "I didn't know I had to spy on them that day! I only knew when I got back from school!"
"He's telling the truth!" Eliza supported.
"Can we trust?" Elsa softly whispered to me. "This seems convincing?"
"You should know I don't trust Pitch or whoever that has a relationship with him." I snapped.
"Please, trust me." Shade begged. "I'm telling the truth and I have to warn you quickly before Pitch strikes on all of you!"
"We got our eyes on you." Punzie crossed her arms. "Tell us then."
"Pitch still wants to have revenge on you." Shade turned to me. "He kept saying he wants to kill Jack Frost and Elsa Arens. Mostly Jack though."
"Just as I thought." I mumbled. "Pitch still holds hatred to me."
"Pitch asked me to spy on Jessica and Jenna. He wants me to find out who Jack Frost's children are too, which is Elijah and Eliza. I lied to him that I do not know any of you yet. Pitch wants me to gather information on all of you, where you live, who are the children of his enemies, all that stuff." Shade continued.
"Now do you believe?" Eliza crossed her arms and turned to me.
"No." I said firmly. "I still think this is a trap. Now that you already know where we live, you could already report it to Pitch!"
"Daddy!" Elijah shouted. "Shade is not what you think, ok?! He is not cruel like his sister Sabrina."
"Sabrina is NOT my sister! She was never my sister! Pitch is also NOT my father!" Shade shouted.
"In Pitch's eyes, Sabrina is your sister and is your father." Henry sighed. "It's ok if you don't see it that way."
"Ok then little one, where is Pitch hiding then?" Merida asked. "If you can show us where he hides, I believe you."
"In one of the abandoned houses nearby." Shade replied.
Hiccup turned to Eugene and Punzie. "Should we storm into his hideout?" He asked.
"No, we don't want to alarm him." Punzie replied.
"I agree. We shouldn't alarm the enemy that soon, we should lay low, pretend we do not know about him yet." Eugene added.
"I am not believing this." I said firmly.
"Jack," Elsa held my hand. "There's no harm in trying. I think Shade is telling the truth."
"Fine, but one wrong move and I will kill you." I looked sternly at Shade.
"Daddy!" Elijah and Eliza exclaimed. Shade was quickly levitated to Kristine. "Woah!" Shade shouted. "I'm... Floating?"
"Don't kill him!" Kristine said. I rolled my eyes and sighed. Kids take things a bit too literally.
"Kristine, you do know what you just did, right?!" Kristen gave her a nudge.
"What? I just levitated Shade to me with telekinesis so he won't get blasted?" Kristine asked.
"You have telekinesis? Cool!" Shade smiled. "I have something called nightmare sand. Wanna see?"
"Yeah!" All the kids said in unison.
"Guys, come along." Elsa beckoned to the Anna, Kristoff, Hiccup, Merida, Punzie and Eugene. All of us sat down. "So, who does not believe Shade? Other than Jack." Elsa asked.
Everyone kept silent. "I think we all believe him." Punzie stated. "He's trustworthy in my opinion."
"So now, we just need to brace ourselves cause Pitch will be striking at moment. Hopefully Shade can give us a heads up." Hiccup added.
