Elijah's POV

"So, nobody told our parents that we know their problem, right?" I asked on the way to school. Everyone shook their head.

"Not a word." Jessica said.

"Now, we need to know how to protect ourselves." Harold stated.

"Powers and talents, what else do we need?" Kristen crossed his arms. "We're already armed."

"Still, we need to be on our guard." Kristine snapped. "We're talking about a murderer here."

"Did you bring the recording again?" Eliza asked.

"Nope." Kristine replied. "Why? Was I supposed to bring it?"

"Nah, just making sure." Eliza said.

"Let's go in." Harold sighed and walked into school.

Me and Eliza's class was English. We were just about to sit down when we were greeted by Shade. "Shade!" Eliza smiled. "What's up?"

"N-No time." Shade started. I looked at him weirdly. No time?

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Quickly sit down, I have something important to tell you." Shade grabbed a chair.

We leaned closer to each other. "First off, do not ask any questions until I have finished." Shade declared. "Now you all are in danger. All of you, Kristine, Kristen, Harold, Henry, Jessica, Jenna and you two are in serious danger. There's someone after you. He's not just after you, he's after your parents as well. Who is that person you may wonder? I don't know if you know him, but his name is Pitch Black."

I immediately cut him off. "Pitch Black?!" I said aloud. "He's after us?! He's after our parents?! Eliza, the worst has come!"

"Quiet Elijah!" Eliza covered my mouth. "Hurry, continue Shade. How do you know all this?"

"Because... I'm Pitch's 'son'. Not what you call biological son though. It's complicated." Shade replied.

"Then why are you telling us all this?" I asked.

"Pitch told me to spy on you guys. I didn't know it was you guys that I had to spy. But all of you were so nice and friendly, I just couldn't bear to do it. So I chose to tell you guys everything so precautions can be taken." Shade explained. "I didn't want Sabrina to do it. She would turn the situation upside down."

"Why is he after us?" Eliza asked.

"He's actually after your parents, which in sure it is your father, Jack Frost right? Pitch said that this person was his arch enemy and he swore that he will have his revenge. He thought that us kids could come in handy." Shade answered.

"Oh the nerve of him... " I groaned. "Using children! As what? Hostages?!"

"We have to tell the others!" Eliza said.

"Wait, try to make sure you're alone when telling the rest. You wouldn't want Sabrina listening in. She does not know who I have to spy on, I didn't tell her." Shade cut in.

"Shade, is this real?" I asked.

"Your lives are at stake and do you think I would kid you?!" Shade snapped. "I'm just giving you this warning early before anything happens."

*Time skip*

"WHAT?!" Jenna shouted but Jessica quickly kept her quiet.

"Yeah, you heard us." I concluded. "That Pitch Black is after us and our parents."

"This, we have, HAVE to tell mom and dad!" Kristine exclaimed.

"I agree but what do we say if they question on how we even know about Pitch Black?" Henry wondered.

"I know," Eliza said. "We bring Shade to them."

"Shade?" All of us said unison.

"That's the only way they will truly belive us!" Eliza snapped.

"True enough." Harold agreed. "Now the problem is that we need Shade to come with us undetected. What if Pitch finds out?"

"For now, Pitch only asked to spy on Jess and Jen. If they don't go with us, we might have a better chance." Kristine suggested.

"Let's go home separate ways later." Jessica said.

"No, I think that we should all go home together, it's safer!" Eliza argued. "I think that we should all gather in someone's house, and then we wait for Shade."

"We would be needing to find an excuse for Shade to come." I sighed. "With that Sabrina with him, it won't be easy to fool."

"How about... We say that we just wanna play?" Jenna asked.

"But won't that make Sabrina want to join in as well?" Henry asked.

"I doubt she would wanna play with us Henry." Harold replied. "Not with that sick attitude."

"One thing's for sure, we cannot gather at Jessica and Jenna's house. Pitch might be watching." I crossed my arms.

"Let's go find Shade." Eliza beckoned.

We nodded and began walking. There's approximately 5 minutes more till class starts again, we have to find Shade quickly. Come on, he's all in black! How hard is it to spot?!

"Found em'." Jessica said. "Shade is with the witch."

"You could have just said Sabrina." Eliza giggled. "Let's go and ask."

Harold walked up to Shade followed by the rest. "Hey Shade." He said.

"Hi Harold." Shade smiled. Sabrina have him a nudge.

"We were wondering, would you like to come and play with us later?" Kristine asked.

"Really? Sure!" Shade said excitedly and turned to Sabrina. "Come along, it will be fun."

Uh oh. I said in my mind. Sabrina rolled her eyes at Shade and said," Do you think I want to waste my precious time playing with jerks like these?"

"Why you little-" I raised my hand to slap her but Eliza quickly stopped me.

"Sabrina, do not call my friends jerks!" Shade shouted. "How dare you call them fhat! What did they do to you? Nothing right?!"

"Nothing? Nothing?! We asked for directions and what did they give us?! Jerkful answers!" Sabrina yelled.

"That's it! Don't be with me for the rest of your life! Don't follow me, don't talk to me, and most importantly, do not call my friends nasty things!" Shade snapped. Sabrina then stormed off in anger.

I did a slow clap. "Bravo Shade, bravo." I said. Shade chuckled softly.

"So, you're ok with coming with us later?" Jessica asked.

"Yeah, we're not just playing, aren't we?" Shade asked.

"You know what we wanna do?" Harold asked.

"Not exactly. What?" Shade asked.

"Your warning." Eliza explained. "You can be proof of Pitch Black has returned and wanting revenge. Then our parents would belive."

" Sure thing." Shade nodded.
