Chapter 59: Tell him off

Shade's POV

Pitch went into his usual ways again. Everything's a mess, we're gonna die if this continues. Let's see... So far, there's a broken window, a glass cabinet that came tumbling down, a couple of chairs flying towards us, etc etc etc. This looks more like a survival game, only it's real. It's like gunshots and bombs everywhere. There's no safe place, not even our room! That's it, I'm out! I grabbed hold of Sabrina's arm and ran out.

"What do you think you're doing?!" Sabrina asked.

"Hey, I just saved your life lady!" I replied, panting. "Anyway, let's take care of your forehead."

"My forehead? What about it?" Sabrina felt her forehead.

"Don't touch! That's blood over there!" I exclaimed.

"Oh..." Sabrina looked at her palm. "You brought bandages?"

"Unfortunately no." I said. "But I know where we can get some."

"You brought money?" Sabrina asked again.

"No?" I replied. "Oh come on, I meant let's ask the others for a bandage!"

Sabrina rolled her eyes and walked along with me. I was totally frustrated, Pitch is going to kill us if he isn't careful. I just wish when he was destroying everything, he would destroy himself in the process. Problem solved! IF, that would happen, I'm crossing my fingers on that.

"Do you think he would notice we're gone?" Sabrina broke the silence.

"He's too busy letting out his anger." I stated. "He doesn't even notice our existence nowadays! Not that I want either..."

"Wait a second, what the hell is that?!" Sabrina pointed to a streak of blood. "Shade! How can you not even notice that your leg is bleeding?! Look at that! You're walking and blood is dripping everywhere you walk!"

"Huh? I thought I was fine, despite that glass was pretty sharp at that time. I didn't even notice there was blood!" I exclaimed.

"You're gonna face a whole lot of blood loss if this continues." Sabrina rolled her eyes. "Who doesn't notice he/she is bleeding?"

"I'm iron man here, I don't notice any wounds." I joked and laughed.

So let's see, the house closest to ours is, Kristine's if I'm not mistaken. Sabrina gave me a warning look before I reached for the doorbell. "What?" I asked.

"Are you sure we can just barge in like that?" Sabrina asked.

"Hey, I thought you liked barging in." I rolled my eyes.

"Liked, liked." Sabrina said. "Past tense, ya hear me?!"

"Whatever." I slammed the doorbell.

Someone came to us, but it wasn't Kristine. It was Harold. Wait, this was his house?! Gosh, I got all the directions wrong!

"Shade, Sabrina! What are you two doing here? Oh, did Kristine invite you to play too?" Harold exclaimed.

"Who is it Harold?" Kristine came forward and was surprised to see us too.

"Oh hey, what's up?" Elijah came running.

"Goodness me, what happened to you two?!" Eliza screamed.

"Uh... Long story." I blurted out.

"Jessica! Get over here, please?!" Kristine shouted as she opened the gate for us.

"Oh my gosh, what in the world?!" Harold looked at my leg.

"Did you go skateboarding or something?" Elijah pointed to Sabrina's forehead. "Then again, a fall from a skateboard wouldn't cause an injury like that."

Jessica joined us. "Help is on the way!" She panted. "You two look awful! What happened?!"

"One question at a time, please?!" Sabrina snapped.

Jessica dumped her hair on us and began singing really quickly. "Flower gleam  and glow, let your power shine, make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine, what once was mine!" Everything, all the wounds, cuts, disappeared in a flash!

"Much better." Eliza let out a sigh of relief.

"So, what in the world were those bruises?!" Elijah cut in.

"It was no biggie." Sabrina assured him.

"Yeah right." Harold crossed his arms. "It looked way serious than that."

"How should I even say it?" I scratched my head. "When something involves broken glass, chipped wood, messed up furniture?"

"Something happened in your house? Did a couple stray and agressive dogs come in or what?" Kristine asked.

"Well no. Pitch went mad again, super mad." I replied.

"We handle it everyday, nothing to worry." Sabrina added.

"Nothing to worry?!" Eliza exclaimed. "Do you mean... Pitch... Well, something like, tortures you everyday?"

"He tortures the house, combining us in the process sometimes." I explained. "Sabrina almost broke her leg at one time."

"WHAT?!" The rest shouted.

"Shade, Sabrina, you need help!" Harold stated.

"What kind of help?" Sabrina asked. "A first aid kid by our sides?"

"No, report all this to the police!" Elijah said. "You have the right to do so."

"Yeah, you're getting abused!" Jessica added.

"The police can arrest Pitch for doing so!" Eliza pouted.

"I'm getting my mom and dad." Kristine turned around but Sabrina grabbed her arm, stopping her.

"Is this necessary?" Sabrina asked.

"Well is it not obvious enough?! You nearly broke a leg in the process of Pitch letting out his anger!" Kristine snapped.

"Oh goodie, will he not be in our lives any more if we tell this to the police?" I asked gleefully. The thought of Pitch not being in my life any longer sounds so.... Wonderful!

"Wait, can you two tell me everything that happens when Pitch gets mad? Like, what are the normal things he does?" Jessica asked.

So Sabrina and I gave the rest a very detailed explanation. About what Pitch gets mad about, what he does, what we do to avoid getting hit, what happens after everything calms down, the lot!

"You, have got to, tell this to, the authorities!" Elijah finally said.

"Yeah, then you will never have to live this kind of life ever again!" Eliza supported.

"You two have suffered enough, it's time for things to change. And we can do it!" Kristine stated.

"Kristine right, let's go!" Harold huffed.

Sabrina and I looked at each other, confused. All this came so fast at once, I for one am mighty excited, but as for Sabrina, I don't know what's going on in her head.

"Guys, I think they need a little time." Jessica whispered.

"What time?!" Elijah exclaimed. "Their lives are in danger!"

"Yeah, we gotta tell the authorities!" Kristine snapped.

"We have already learned everything we need to do during a situation like this." Eliza added.

"Well... How about you two think about it first." Jessica suggested. "It's a bit too much for you to think, isn't it?"

"Yes." "Nope." Sabrina and I said at the same time.

"But, you two are suffering, you need help!" Eliza stated. "No one in the world deserves a life like that."

"Uh... It's getting late, how about we go home first?" Sabrina asked.

"How about you guys spend the night here instead? You could get hurt if you go back to that house." Kristine offered.

"Well, if it isn't too much trouble..." I replied awkwardly.

"Let's just get back home." Sabrina said. "I think we can handle ourselves."

"But-"

"Don't worry Kristine." Jessica cut in. "They need to think this through."

So it was just like that. We said our goodbyes and walked back home. I was nervous a little. "You're worried, aren't ya?" Sabrina turned to me.

"Worried? I'm about to go crazy!" I replied. "Just make sure you be careful, all right?"

"You too." Sabrina sighed.

We arrived and headed to the front door. It wasn't locked, good. I slowly opened the door and saw Pitch. "Well, where have you kids been all day?!" He asked.

"Why do you care?" I blurted out unintentionally.

"Oh right, I don't care." Pitch crossed his arms. "Where have you been, idiots?!"

"None of your business." Sabrina snapped and headed to the room.

"Where do you think you're going?!" Pitch snapped.

"My room, duh." Sabrina rolled her eyes.

"Like we would wanna stay here!" I shouted at Pitch. This was it, I just wanted to let all of my anger out now. "Every single day, you turn the world upside down! You throw and break things! You don't think about safety! What about us? Have you ever cared about us?! Do you know how many times you have nearly killed us?! Everyday, this breaks, that breaks, our bones break too you know! In your crazy mind, all you can do is make everything rip apart! You don't see our existence in that time, all you care about is throwing your anger like nobody's business! For a ruthless man like you, you don't deserve to be here! As for us, we don't deserve to be nearly killed everyday by you! If you had ever seen our injuries, they're really serious! We could end up in the hospital if this continues! And what would YOU do?! Nothing, right?! Because, YOU DON'T CARE! ALL YOU CARE IS ABOUT GETTING YOUR REVENGE ON THAT JACK FROST!"

Pitch stood there, dumbfounded. I gasped for breath, I have never shouted that much before, but it felt really great! Sabrina came and stood beside me. "So, are you happy to hear that?! This is what we truly feel, how does it feel to know what we think of you?! Thanks to your actions, that is why we can't have some peace in our lives! In your eyes, we are nothing! Once you get your revenge, will you be happy? Huh!? Or will you continue killing of everyone in this world?!" Sabrina spoke for me. Then, she grabbed my arm and slammed the room door shut.

"That's right, just hide in your room, like what you do everyday!" Pitch's voice echoed.

Sabrina grabbed a glass of water for me. "You really did it, you finally told him off." She smiled.

"Yeah well, it was well deserved. I have wanted to do it for such a long time." I lied on the bed.

"You did well." Sabrina patted my back.

"Oh I didn't do anything, I just stood up for myself." I grinned.
