Chapter 58: Restored

Jack's POV

Counting down for a week... Day 4 now. Elsa still hasn't interacted much with me, but she didn't shout and all, that's good, right? Like, she's cool now, am I right? So if she's fine, I'm fine, right? RIGHT?! Screw that, I'm going mad! Insane!

The guys were right, Eliza and Elijah's suggestions were more like planning a birthday party. Not that I blame them, they're kids, they don't understand the adult world yet. So, I still need to think of something if Elsa doesn't get back to normal in the next few days. Where, what, how am I supposed to do this?!

I looked over the bed, Elsa was sleeping peacefully. Her beautiful platinum blond hair, her rosy cheeks, her red lips... What have you done, Jack?! You made your wife mad and yet you didn't do anything, how embarrassing. This is not what a husband should do! I sighed as I sank myself in the covers, jumping into deep thought.

After a while, I heard the squeaking sound of a door closing. It was the kids' room. That door really needs oiling, I thought. With that, I got out of the bed, not before giving Elsa a kiss on the cheek and I quietly tiptoed out of the room, I couldn't sleep back anyway. Slowly and as quiet as possible, I opened the door and went out.

"Good morning kids." I greeted Eliza and Elijah who were going down the stairs.

"Morning." "Good morning." Elijah and Eliza said.

"So, have you settled things with mom yet?" Eliza asked gleefully.

"Uh... No, unfortunately." I replied awkwardly.

"Oh come on!" Elijah grumbled. "Eliza, you're female, you should know what to do, right?!"

"If I knew what to do, I would have done it! Not just standing, waiting for dad to do something!" Eliza crossed her arms.

"Calm down there." I walked along with them. "Now, who's gonna help your dad make a queen's breakfast, fit for your mother?"

"What are we supposed to do? I only know how to fry eggs or something." Elijah stated.

"Huh, that's what you get for not helping out in the kitchen." Eliza pouted.

"Well, since YOU help, what do you suggest, genius?" Elijah rolled his eyes.

"Mom likes pancakes and stuff?" Eliza asked.

I was still thinking on what to do, I tapped on my chin and thought and thought..... Until the kids broke my concentration. "Dad? Dad!" Elijah exclaimed.

"Huh?" I asked.

"You were just standing at the stairs!" Eliza explained.

"Oh! Uh... Anyway, what shall we do? What shall we cook?" I asked.

"Oh screw breakfast plan!" Elijah cut in. "There is no way a breakfast is gonna win mom over, right Eliza?"

"I ain't mummy, how am I supposed to know?!" Eliza snapped.

I hopped onto the sofa and let myself sink in slowly. This problem with Elsa has really gone haywire. Never have I ever seen her like this in all of my life.

"Daddy, you gotta bring mummy out on a date or something!" Eliza begged.

"A date?" Elijah chuckled. "How will THAT work?!"

"It does work." I smiled and messed up his hair. "You're still too young to know what it's like."

"Oh ok. Then what are you waiting for?! Go get mom on a date!" Elijah stomped his foot.

"I... Don't... Know... What to do!" I blurted out.

"Now surely Jack Frost wouldn't not know what to do?" A new voice travel across the room, Elsa. I shrieked and tried to hide my face with a pillow. Eliza and Elijah just stood there, looking.

"G-Good morning mummy." Eliza stuttered.

Elsa walked over to me and took the pillow away. I gulped, totally panicking in my mind. Pull it together Jack! Don't be such a coward! Elsa grinned widely at me and sat beside me. She gave me a quick kiss and smiled.

"Sooooo..... Are we ok?" Was the only thing I could say. I mentally face palmed myself, why in the world did I say that?!

"Yes we are, silly." Elsa rolled her eyes.

I pulled her into a hug and a deep passionate kiss. It's like all my problems just disappeared from that kiss. It was just this feeling that I could not find words to express it, it's... Nice. To put it simple.

"We should go." I heard Eliza whisper. "This is awkward."

Elsa broke the hug and smiled. "Now, let's get some breakfast. You're helping me this time."

"I get to do stuff in the kitchen?" I asked, surprised. "I thought you'd never ask!"

"Times have changed." Elsa crossed her arms. "Now get up!"

"But, I haven't even washed my face yet." I protested.

"Then go do it." Elsa headed to the kitchen.

I was so happy that I just wanted to do my happy dance. Not that I have a happy dance. I wasn't sure on how the problem got resolved, but hey, as long as our love is restored, I'm good. The only thing I want to do is... Making sure Elsa and I don't ever have such arguments ever again. I splashed my whole face with water and happily headed to the kitchen.
