Chapter 56: Love advice
Eugene's POV
The boys met up at my place and we sat down. All eyes were on Jack. "Guys, you gotta help me!" Jack pleaded.
"Jack, you've been saying that plenty of times already, but you haven't told us what's your problem!" Hiccup said.
"Ok, ok." Jack sighed. "It's Elsa...."
"What about her?" I asked. "Is she ill?"
"No she isn't." Jack replied. "She... Doesn't want to talk to me."
"Why? What happened?" Kristoff asked.
"I might as well tell you the full story first." Jack stated. "So that day, I came back pretty late from work and I was surprised to find no one in the house when I opened the door. I called and shouted for Elsa and the kids but there was no reply. I went up the stairs then I saw a letter, a letter from Pitch. In panic, I thought Elsa was in Pitch's hands so I went straight to his house. The minute I arrived, I just started yelling at Pitch, asking him for Elsa and the rest. Pitch denied that he had them but I continued asking, then we fought. Then, well... Here's the funny part. Elsa called in the middle of our little battle and I quickly picked it up, asking her if she's all right. That was when I found out that Pitch hadn't actually harmed them. It was so awkward at that time and Pitch drove me out of the house. As I got back, I told them the story, the kids found it funny, but not Elsa. And since that day, we fought and she still doesn't want to talk to me."
It took us a while for the words to sink in. Hiccup was the first to burst out laughing. "Oh Jack, I knew you were pretty careless, but never THIS careless!"
"Hey!" Jack pushed him. "I was really worried at that time, all right?!"
"Wow Jack, just, wow." Kristoff said.
"Dude, you're crazy by doing that. I can most certainly understand why Elsa is mad at you, you could have been killed!" I blurted out.
"That was exactly what Elsa said!" Jack pointed to me. "Anyway, this situation right now is scaring the life out of me! Even Eliza and Elijah are afraid."
"Come on, Elsa isn't that kind of girl that would make decisions without thinking." Hiccup comforted him. "Women are like that, just give them some time to cool off and you'll be fine! Merida is sometimes like that too."
"Are you sure?" Jack asked. "I would really like to make it up to her, but I don't know how! I need love advice! Gosh, I never thought I would ever need it, but now I guess I do."
"If you ask me, all I would say is give her time." I replied. "Making up is probably unnecessary."
"Guys, I asked for a meeting here to give me some ideas?!" Jack exclaimed.
"Make it romantic, express your feelings, you have to express regret and show the potential to make amends, everything must come from the heart, and you'll be fine!" Kristoff listed.
"Woah, we got a love expert over here." I joked.
"I'm not a love expert." Kristoff chuckled.
"Oh really? Then how do you know all this?" Hiccup challenged.
"Well... I have friends who are love experts." Kristoff replied.
"YOU have friends, who are love experts?" I asked, unimpressed.
"Yes." Kristoff crossed his arms. "Deal with it."
Jack snapped his fingers. "So, what do I do?"
"Just do it!" I said aloud.
"From the heart, that's all it matters." Kristoff replied.
"Take her on a date." Hiccup stated. "Just bring out the high school, college days, the days when you were a couple! Get into that mood and everything will be perfect."
"A candlelight dinner!" I exclaimed. "I don't know about you and Elsa, but Punzie loves those."
"Well, maybe..." Jack sighed. "But I don't know how to do any of this!"
"Dude, just do what you did back in the days!" Hiccup grabbed his hand. "Be yourself, chill."
"Get your kids to help you." Kristoff suggested. "They're... Close to being teenagers? They can give you some ideas, I'm sure they will come out with great ones."
"Nah, they would probably just think of cake and balloons." I burst out laughing. "What? Every kid loves that!"
We left Kristoff to do all the explaining, he seemed really good at it. Jack paid his full attention to it. I just listened, I didn't exactly understand Kristoff's logic in love. I mean like, Elsa isn't completely like Anna, not everything would work. Jack asked for advice from all of us, but it didn't go out too well. Merida, Anna and Punzie don't have the same characteristics and personalities like Elsa, so we can't give proper advice. Everything must all come down to what Elsa likes.
"This won't work." Hiccup sighed. "Jack, we can't help, got it?!"
"Well, some could be used, but not all." Jack argued. "Women are so complicated."
"You said it!" I gave him a high five. "It's basically impossible to guess what they're thinking of!"
"Depends on what girl you have!" Kristoff said.
"I just think you shouldn't do anything!" Hiccup shouted.
"Well, Elsa could be expecting something from me!" Jack backfired.
"An apology, simple!" I stated.
"I apologised zillions of times already, she doesn't want my apology!" Jack groaned.
"You have two choices, Frost. One, don't do anything, let time do its job. That actually helps a lot in plenty of situations. Two, you give her the surprise of her life." Kristoff crossed his arms.
"Tell you what, give her a week. If she still doesn't talk to you, then you take actions." Hiccup suggested.
"Sure?" Jack asked like a little kid.
"Sure." All three of us said in unison.
"Don't worry, one week would go away really quick, you wouldn't even realise it's gone and Elsa and you would be fine!" I comforted Jack.
