Eliza's POV

I could tell that Kristine was really frustrated with Zack. Poor her, at least my dance partner is Shade. Mrs Aurora and Mr Philip told us that we would only be learning the few simple steps for today as they wanted to move on to others. There was a second dance but I wasn't interested in it so I backed down. Elijah, Sabrina and Kristine did the same thing.

"So, how did it go?" I asked.

"It was... So called, romantic." Elijah crossed his arms. "NOT. How are you supposed to imagine your dance partner is your dream girl?! I don't have one! Then we have to dance romantically?!"

"Oh it wasn't too bad. It was kinda fun dancing like you're a princess and your partner's the prince." Sabrina giggled.

"If my dance partner wasn't Zack, I would have enjoyed it very much." Kristine scoffed. "The idea of the dance is great, but then my partner had to ruin the moment."

"It was fine. But I've made up my mind to be part of the play!" I announced. "I wanna know what it's about."

"Me too! I don't care what character I play, I just want to me a part of it. I love these things!"  Kristine cheered.

"What about you, Elijah and Sabrina? Got any other plans other than dancing?" I asked.

"No." Elijah said firmly. "Oh I don't know, I'll see how it goes." Sabrina replied.

"You won't know what you'll be missing." I playfully pushed Elijah.

*Time skip*

After all sorts of auditions for everything, it finally came down to the play. Harold got the part for the welcoming speech and he is very pleased. Jessica was in two of the dances, she said that she can't help but dance and dance. Shade was in one dance only, he didn't fit quite well for the other dance. I auditioned for singing but I decided to forfeit, I just didn't want to. Sabrina and Kristine are in a group song with a few more students. As for Elijah, he just didn't want to be a part of anything.

Once again the teachers stood on top of the stage while the students were on the bottom. Mrs Aurora held a note. "Well then students! I'm sure everyone is eager to know about the play? It will be a total different one this year and it's very interesting! There are many roles for this play!" She announced. 

I listened in interest. "I will give a brief summary of the play now." Mrs Aurora paused for a while.

Identical twins were separated shortly after their birth in an otherworldly magical kingdom called Avonlea and quickly sent to Earth to escape the dangers of an evil force. Unaware of each other's existence, the twins are adopted by two different families. When the twins are reunited on their 12th birthday their powers start to form and their birth mother, who thought her precious twins were dead, can sense they are alive. While the twins struggle to discover and accept the truth about their past and the extent of their magic, they set out to find their birth mother to get the answers they are looking for.

Elijah immediately looked up and looked at me. I gave him a weird look. Twins? I wondered. Does this play require twins?! I asked in my mind. Magical kingdom? Well, the story is interesting all right! 

"Yes everyone, the two main characters for this play must be twins." Mr Robert said. "And as far as I know, we only have three pairs of twins in this school but only two are this year's graduates. Eliza and Elijah, Amy and Sammy, please step forward." 

Kristine gave me a thumbs up sign and I walked forward. Elijah stood beside me. The other pair of twins, Amy and Sammy were right beside us. "So, as you all know, the play requires twins. It is not specified whether it requires two girls, two boys, or one boy one girl, as long as they are twins, you are eligible to be in the play. I will leave you to decide whether you would like to take part." Mr Robert explained to us. 

The four of us walked to a short distance. "So..." Amy started. "It will be fun to be in the play!" Her sister Sammy cut her off. 

"Yes but, I don't like large crowds. As the main character, everyone's just gonna be looking at you and it's like you're all alone in the stage for some scenes." Amy protested. "What about you, Eliza and Elijah?" 

"Well, I would love to be in the play, but I don't know about my brother." I turned to Elijah. 

"No way sis, the main characters? No thanks." Elijah crossed his arms.

"Then me and Amy can be in it!" Sammy squealed.

"No Sammy, I'm not too confident." Amy grabbed her arm.

"Great, in both pairs of twins, one of them wants to be in the play, the other one doesn't want to be in it." I sighed.

"I think, you and Elijah will be perfect for this." Amy said. "Besides," She turned to her sister. "We have took part in quite a lot. You have a solo and a speech and I have two dances. We should let them have the play."

"Well... I guess you do make a point." Sammy said awkwardly. "Yeah, sure! Eliza and Elijah can be in the play!"

"What?! No, no, no! No thanks sister!" Elijah shouted. 

"Elijah, you only took part in one, which is dancing! Come on, if Amy and Sammy don't want it, we have to be the main characters no matter what. Do you see any other twins here?!" I snapped. "The play will be fun, I assure you. Go explore the world of acting!"

"But, but, but-"

"No buts!" I cut him off. "You're gonna be in the play young man."

"Ok, fine. Thank goodness we only do this once." Elijah groaned.

"So, all good?" Sammy smiled.

"Yes." I smiled back.

We walked back and told Mr Robert. Elijah and I walked onto the stage to join the teachers. "All right, now that the main characters are done, we can move on to the rest." Mrs Annie announced. "We will need one boy and one girl to be the protectors of the main characters. We will explain more of your roles later."

"Me! I volunteer!" Kristine raised her hand. Mrs Annie nodded her head and Kristine excitedly darted to me. She gave me a quick hug. "So, I get to be your... Protector. Whatever that is, but it will be fun!" She said to me.

"May I be the second protector?" Zack raised his hand. "Sure." Mrs Annie said.

Kristine's jaw dropped. Zack walked up to the stage and stood with Kristine. "Why do you want this role?!" Kristine pushed him. "I'm already your dance partner, now in this play?!"

"Because Kristine, you're my destiny..." Zack replied. Kristine gave a slap to his face. Ouch, that's gonna leave a mark.

"Ok, moving on." Mrs Annie cleared her throat. "Celine! Would you like to be the mother of the two characters?"

"Me? Of course, sure!" Celine smiled and walked up to the stage. 

"Well you see, we need someone to match your hair colour as your mother in the play." Mrs Annie whispered to Elijah and I. I nodded my head. 

"Oh I almost forgot! We need a suitor for Celine. He will play as the twins' real father's brother." Mrs Annie exclaimed. Noah volunteered for that. "Next is someone to be as Elijah's good friend. And one more person to be Eliza's good friend." She continued.

Katy and Tom volunteered. So, Katy is going to be my best friend in this play, got it. I said in my mind. "Now, we will be needing two people to be the parents." Mrs Annie said.

"But, I thought Celine was already the mother?" Jessica asked.

"Yes, Celine will be playing as the mother from the magical world of Avonlea. Now I just need two people to be the normal parents from Earth." Mrs Annie explained. 

I beckoned for Harold and Jessica to join us but they surprisingly shook their heads. Jessica mouthed me something about clothes, which I think she wants to help design the clothes instead of the play, fair enough. She loves designing clothes. As for Harold? I don't know. 

Marty and Helen were chosen to be the parents. Although I was also wondering why only one pair of parents were chosen. If it was Elijah and I, wouldn't it sound logical to have two sets of parents? One set for each of us? 

"As for the antagonists, we will need one boy and one girl." Mrs Annie said. I spotted Shade and Sabrina talking to each other and they volunteered. Awesome then! At least we are closer to them. So for the people I know for this play is, Elijah, Sabrina, Shade, Kristine and finally Zack. I wouldn't count him as close, but at least I talk to him.

"We need one last person. But he will only play as a very minor character, any volunteers?" Mrs Annie asked. Daniel got the role. 

"Well then cast, please follow me and I'll explain your roles." Mrs Margaret beckoned.
