Kristine's POV

We gathered in the main hall, waiting. A couple of teachers were there, but we were still waiting for everyone to be here. I played with Jessica's hair while waiting. 

"Oh... Where's that brother of mine?!" Eliza complained. 

"Just wasting his time, I suppose." Harold chuckled. 

Shade, Sabrina and Elijah came into the hall. "There they are." Jessica pointed. 

Sabrina waved a small hi to me and I smiled at her. Soon, more students came in. Many were wondering just like us, why are we here and what for?

The teachers walked up to the stage and we just looked at them. "Right then, students!" Mrs Margaret clapped her hands. "I'm sure you would like to know the reason you are called to gather here."

Almost everyone replied 'yes' in unison. "Well we need to have a rehearsal for your graduation ceremony. Oh and, for the shows and stuff." Mr Robert continued. Elijah said 'what?!'  under his breath and I giggled softly.

"Shows?" Someone asked. "What shows?"

"Well we always have shows such as singing, dancing, speeches and finally a play every year, and all graduates must take part of it." Mr Robert explained.

"We would like to have the audition today actually." Mrs Annie said.

"But, this is all kinda sudden." Another student blurted out.

"Well after all these years in school, you should understand very well on what the school does!" Mrs Margaret replied.

I gave a nudge to Jessica. "Were these what you were talking about that day? The plays, concert and all?"  I asked and she nodded.

"Do we get to choose on what part of the show we want to be in or is it all chosen already?" Jessica asked.

"Oh, that will be your free will." Mrs Annie smiled.

Jessica let out a cheer. "What do you want?"  I asked her.

"Singing!" She replied cheerfully. "Or maybe dancing. Yeah, probably dancing."

"Is there a minimum of how many stuff we need to take part?"  Harold asked this time.

"That will be at least one, but you are encouraged to take part in as many as you like." Mr Robert said.

Everyone began discussing around each other. Jessica was the most excited person for this while Elijah felt it was a burden. It all seemed really great and I think I wanna take part in the dancing! I can't wait to know what the play is about too, maybe I could play as a character in it! I always loved those, acting.

"Well then students! May I have your attention please. We can start the auditions now if you have made your choice." Mrs Margaret took out a piece of paper. "As you all know about the show, dancing, singing, speeches or some comedy talk, and of course, one play as the finale then we will proceed to your graduation ceremony."

"Students interested in the dancing part please walk on to the stage and the students who are interested in speeches or comedy talk, follow Mr Robert." Mrs Annie ordered.

Jessica and I happily walked to the stage. Harold when to the speech section. Sabrina, Shade and Eliza joined us too, leaving Elijah alone. "Oh come on Elijah, you have to take part in something, come on it will be fun!"  I said. "It's just dancing! Or you could go to the speech section with Harold."

"No way am I going to give a speech!"  Elijah walked to us. "Well I hope dancing won't be too hard."

Plenty were on the stage. I guess the rest who didn't even move were more interested in other parts. Mrs Aurora and Mr Philip stood before us." Well then everyone, there will be quite a number of dances but we shall start with the first one. The first dance is something like a ballroom dance, and I'm sure all of you have seen some cartoons or movie where a prince and a princess dance, right?" Mrs Aurora said. "The first dance will be like that."

"Aww, how sweet would that be!" Jessica said dreamily.

"Do we get to pick our dance partners?" Shade questioned.

"Well unfortunately, no. We want it to be fair. So, if there are anyone that would not like to take part in this ballroom dance can stand aside first, maybe you will be interested in the other dances." Mr Philip answered. "I would like the girls to make one row in front and the boys make one row behind the girls."

I stood in between Sabrina and Eliza."So, we will arrange on how you will enter the stage later. As for now, girls and boys, the person in front/back of you is your dance partner." Mrs Aurora announced.

"Sweet!" I heard a voice behind me. I turned around and saw who my dance partner was. Oh why did it have to be HIM?! So many other boys and yet I'm stuck with him, Zack. "Can I change my partner?"  I asked in frustration.

"We said we wanted it to be fair and square Kristine." Mrs Aurora said.

I wanted to slap Zack so much. "Well then new dance partner, if I may have the honours of dancing with you." Zack smiled. I pushed him away roughly.

Mrs Aurora and Mr Philip arranged all of our positions around the stage. Shade's partner was Eliza and both of them were behind me. "Bad luck huh?"  Eliza whispered to me. I sighed and nodded.

Both the teachers stood in front. "Now then everyone, we will show you a demonstration on how you will dance. Pay attention to the steps." Mrs Aurora placed her hand on Mr Philip. They began dancing gracefully, it was really beautiful! It looked exactly like a ballroom dance. I carefully observed the steps and tried to memorise them but I failed in the end.

When they finished, all of us clapped. "Don't worry, we will teach you step by step." Mr Philip assured. "First, take your dance partner's hand."

I unwillingly held Zack's hand. He looked at me and chuckled." Come on Kristine, it's not that bad." Zack said.

"Now, pretend the person in front of you is your dream guy/girl, this will enable you to get into the mood. Face your partner and don't look back, or anywhere else for the matter. Keep you eyes on your partner. And then, try these simple steps." Mrs Aurora said.

All of us did accordingly. It was a little tricky for me. "You're holding back." Zack blurted out.

"Shut up and dance." I snapped.

Zack winked at me, ugh it was so annoying, I wanted to step on him. Kick him or punch him for the matter.

This was what I had during my last year in elementary school and so sorry but I don't know how to describe it!
