Chapter 45: Were we wrong?
Anna's POV
I just placed the cookies into the oven and let it bake. Kristoff suddenly gave me a back hug. "Come on chocolate queen, don't be sad." He said.
"The kids didn't take it too well yesterday." I moaned.
"Well we just grounded them, not that long too." Kristoff replied.
"Come to think of it, I think they did the right thing." I turned to him. "They did the right thing going to Pitch's house."
"What do you mean? They almost killed themselves going there, what do you mean the right thing?!"
"Don't you remember back in our days, we too put everything aside to save our friends. The children did the exact same thing, they care deeply about their friends and would risk everything to make sure they're safe."
"I don't think of it that way. That girl, Sabrina, shouldn't have even called Kristine!"
"It was the concern of her brother, which is Kristine's good buddy!"
"Anna, you can't think like that! When in 'our days' did we put aside everything to save our friends?! When?!"
"There's plenty! And they're all about Pitch. Must I list out? Because you're probably gonna die of boringness, cause there's a lot. A LOT."
"Fi-" Kristoff got cut off by the bell on our door every time someone enters. "Customer." He muttered.
I giggled and monitored the oven. Now I have the time to think by myself. To be honest, I was very proud of all of the little one's actions. Their brave and heroic actions were just amazing to admire, it reminds me of the past. Unfortunately not everyone thinks like that since the situation was inadequate. Sven came in with Olaf on its back. Olaf had a terrible chocolate mess on his face.
"Great, what is it this time?" I teased.
"I love chocolate so much that I decided to wash my face in it." Olaf giggled. "Don't worry, I made sure I didn't dirty the whole mixture. You can count on me!"
I rolled my eyes and smiled. I grabbed a carrot from the basket and handed it to Sven. "Who's this lovely carrot for, Sven?"
Sven jumped up and down, throwing poor Olaf off. Sven happily munched on his carrot while I went to look for Olaf. Guess where he was? Right in front of the burning oven. "Ah, lovely heat!" Olaf hugged the oven.
"Olaf..." I crossed my arms. "Oh well, your cloud should keep you a-o-kay."
Kristoff came back in. "Snowman! You're not supposed to be there!" He exclaimed. "Too much heat and you're finished!"
"But I like it..." Olaf said in a very adorable voice.
With a while more of the cookies in the oven, I had nothing to do. I went out to the counter and just stood there. There wasn't anything to do at all! Urgh, I hate it when there's nothing to do and I'm super bored. Like bored BORED.
I glanced at the clock. Yeah, there's usually no one during these hours. I happened to look outside and saw a car parking almost in front of the shop. Wait, I recognise that car, Elsa? I was right. Elsa stepped out of the car and waved at me. She came into the store.
"Hey sistah!" I gave her a tight hug. "What brings you here? You're early too."
"There was nothing left to do. That project was all up to Jack now." Elsa replied, still hugging me.
"And what brings you to the most wonderful chocolate shop in all history?!" I giggled.
"To see my sister, and to buy some chocolate back." Elsa pinched my cheek.
"Tell me what you like!" I smiled.
"I don't know? The chocolates are all amazing here." Elsa teased. "As amazing as my little sister."
I chuckled and Olaf happened to walk out. "This is a mighty fine surprise, Elsa!"
"Hello Olaf." Elsa smiled. Olaf waved and he ran back in. Why? I don't know.
"Say, how are Eliza and Elijah doing?" I asked. "You know, from yesterday's issue?"
"Not very good. They were really low, that's why I came here, they could use a chocolate or two while I try to think of something." Elsa sighed.
"Oh so you're trying to cheer them up too?" I asked, surprised. "I thought I was the only one that did that!"
"I overheard Eliza and Elijah grumbling about something yesterday. Then I realised it was their strong friendship bond that led them to save their friend. What would seem wrong was actually right." Elsa replied.
"Finally, someone who agrees with me that what the children did yesterday was correct!" I squealed.
"Oh Anna." Elsa laughed. "I was just thinking the same thing, were we wrong?"
"50/50?" I took a wild guess. "Oh wait, make that 100."
DING! I heard the oven. "What's that?" Elsa asked. I mouthed her the word 'oven.'
"Kristoff, the cookies are ready, get em!" I yelled. I was just too lazy to get it myself. Besides, Elsa's here! "So," I placed my hands on my hips. "What can I get for your twins? So far, they have pretty much enjoyed every single chocolate there is."
"Exactly, that's why I needed you to choose for me. I'm horrible at choosing." Elsa laughed nervously. "Got any chocolates that will make them happy?"
"Big sis, EVERY chocolate makes someone happy!" I snapped. "Who doesn't feel happy after eating chocolate?!"
"Kidding." Elsa playfully pushed me. "Seriously, I need a chocolate around here for the kids."
I rolled my eyes and walked around the store. Let's see, what will fit in? It's for Eliza and Elijah. They enjoyed everything, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, etc etc etc, just like Kristine and Kristen. "I think, just, take, anything." I said. "They'll enjoy it no matter what."
"Fine, lucky draw something for me." Elsa giggled. "Go on, chocolate expert."
I swiped four chocolate bars, two were white chocolate while the other two were dark chocolate. "That will be 20. " I joked and burst out laughing. "Kidding! Here, take them."
"I haven't even paid-" I pushed the chocolate bars to her, cutting her off to.
"It's for the happiness of the kids, take them." I insisted. "Besides, children nowadays can be very sensitive."
"Anna, even if I am your sister or if you're doing this for the kids, I still have to pay." Elsa said firmly, reaching for her wallet.
"Elsa, please, just take the chocolate!" I persisted. "Please? Please?"
"I will take them, after I do what every customer does!" Elsa said.
Oh come on, Elsa! I yelled in my mind. Just. Give. Them. To. Your. Kids! I lifted her up with my telekinesis and giggled softly. Both of us went out of the store to Elsa's car. "Thank you very much, enjoy those chocolates!" I teased.
"Ok fine." Elsa stated. "I'll still pay next time."
"Oh I don't think so, you do get quite forgetful sometimes." I laughed.
"Whatever." Elsa rolled her eyes. "I'll be off."
"See ya!" I waved at her and ran back into the store.
