Chapter 38: Final year
(Ok well I'm just gonna skip to a couple of years later starting from this chapter)
Elijah's POV
"Can you even believe this is the last year we are gonna be in this elementary school?!" Harold exclaimed.
"Which is exactly why we have to do whatever we wanna do in this school before we run out of time!" I supported.
"There is one thing that we have NOT done, something that we haven't managed to do for years..." Kristine sighed.
"Shade." All of us said in unison.
"I honestly couldn't believe that we couldn't do anything to break the spell on Shade after these years." Eliza shook her head in disappointment.
"What to do? We've tried to get Pitch to do so but he refused." I sighed.
Sabrina joined us with a small smile on her face. We still worked with her to get Shade back but she hasn't changed much. For instance, she didn't become a very good friend with us yet. Sabrina refused to let herself become softer. She still has an attitude.
"So, what's today's plan?" She asked. "I've already lost hope."
"Sabrina, it might have been years but there is always still hope for Shade." Kristine comforted her. "Come on, Shade's got like way more control of his body now!"
Someone placed his or her hands on me and jumped, putting all the weight on my shoulders. I turned around and saw Shade. "Shade! You little rascal." I giggled.
"What? At least I can now run, jump, and talk for like, forever!" Shade cheered. Harold gave him a thumbs up sign.
"Other you has given up?" Jessica asked.
"Nah, but he has learned to fear Shade Black." Shade joked. "He's just stepping down for the time being. Well at least until I run out of energy to fight for control. In which I think I can last for a couple more minutes."
"Stay strong buddy, we will free you, someday..." Harold patted his back.
"I never doubted you guys." Shade smiled and glanced at Sabrina. "And my sister."
"That's my bro." Sabrina giggled. "Always looking at the positive side of things which is something I can't handle. Father too."
Shade nodded his head and grinned. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be running around the school compound if you need me, but I might be back in robot mode already." Shade declared.
"School compound? In case if you have forgotten Shade, school's over for the day." Kristine said.
"I know, but I ain't running back home! Robot me will do that." Shade explained. "Sabrina can go home first."
We just simply agreed and waved a bye. Harold continued blubbering about being a graduate this year end. He just wanted to stand proudly and graduate with pride. It's just elementary school I don't see what's the big deal about it. Sure like we wear long robes and a huge hat, which I don't think they're anything to me. We'll have to wear them every single time we graduate from a school. Harold likes it a lot.
"So, what now?" Jessica broke the silence.
"Still thinking of what to do on the last year." Eliza chuckled.
"I know, you can go sign up for the concert." I burst out laughing.
"Concert?" Harold and Kristine asked.
"You've been in the school for years already! What do you mean you don't know about the concert?!" Jessica exclaimed.
"Guys, it's no concert." Eliza stated. "It's actually just a year end thing for graduates. There will be dancing, singing, speeches, plays, all sorts of things!"
"Concert is a short form for that ok?!" I crossed my arms.
"I wonder what this year's play will be! Last couple of years were Cinderella, Fairies and witches battling to save the magic dimension-"
"Magic dimension?" Harold intruded Jessica.
"Magical world." Jessica explained.
"Don't forget the exam in 1 week." Harold added.
"Wait, what?! Exam?!" I asked.
Eliza ticked her tongue. "Looks like you haven't been paying attention in class at all."
"I hate HATE exams." I crossed my arms.
"You're gonna be sitting for those in all of your education life." Kristine laughed.
"Don't worry, don't need to study." Sabrina spoke up.
"You have everything memorised?" Harold asked.
"Nope. I don't care for some stupid grades. I never study." Sabrina said.
I mouthed a woah at her. If I didn't study, mom and dad would literally kill me. Soon, Kristen, Henry and Jenna joined us. "We have a project!" Jenna said excitedly.
"I don't want to be a part of it." Kristen complained.
"You have to be. Or else, no marks!" Henry reminded him. "These marks are individual although it's a group project."
"Presenting ain't that bad." Jenna added.
"Why do we have to do so many projects in the first place?! It's so boring!" Kristen shouted.
Everyone quickly stopped their little siblings from arguing. "Now come on, let's go home. We've been waiting for you guys long enough." Kristine said.
I'm sooooo sorry that I haven't been updating daily lately but i have exams coming my way and it's really stressing me out, I have no mood and no interest to write at all. Sorry!
