Chapter 35: Boys, boys, boys!
Jenna's POV
"Great, we'll never make it in time." Kristen grumbled. "We're doomed."
"Make what in time?" Henry asked, still with his back facing Kristen.
"We have a problem... Well, I have one, and it's urgent! I'm never gonna make it!" Kristen moaned.
"There's still time." I argued.
"Hello?! There's only 5 minutes left! 4 minutes and 20 seconds to be exact." Kristen said.
"Kristen," Henry turned around. "Seriously, you're making it sound like there's a bomb going to go off in that time."
"It is a bomb!" Kristen snapped and I laughed.
"Homework. Is. Not. A. Bomb." Henry crossed his arms.
"Oh Kristen," I looked at his exercise book. "You only have 10 questions left! Just use about 20 seconds to answer each question and you'll be done."
"I can't answer a question in 20 seconds!" Kristen exclaimed.
"Tick tock tick tock, you have 240 seconds left aka 4 minutes." Henry giggled.
"Suit yourself." I rolled my eyes and hurriedly finished the homework that Mr Robert gave us. Henry was all done, just waiting for me and Kristen. I will never understand on how he can finish his work so fast every time, I wish to be like him. I need that kind of speed. Kristen was furiously slamming his pencil everywhere on his book. He described it as 'pressure' and Henry went into a debate with him.
"Done!" I silently said, placing down my pencil.
"Not fair!" Kristen looked at me. "How come both of you are so fast?!"
The bell cut Kristen's next words. "All right class, hand in your books please." Mr Robert ordered. Kristen went crazy after hearing that. Henry rolled his eyes and gave Kristen his book. "Only this time, got it?" Henry warned. Kristen smiled at him and snatched the whole book.
"Well all day he was saying the bomb was going off..." I burst out laughing.
"And now it has!" Henry continued and gave me a high five. Kristen scrambled throughout his whole page, filling up everything. I mischievously smiled at him and handed in my book.
"Don't worry Henry, let's just go to our next class now since the bell rung already, Kristen knows what to do." I invited. Henry nodded his head and stood up.
"Hey! Wait for me?!" Kristen asked.
"We're not even in the same class now!" Henry looked at him. Henry grabbed me and we quickly ran out. I turned around to look at Kristen and giggled.
Science now, I said in my mind. I was just about to enter when a boy stopped me. "Um, excuse me." I blurted out. "Mind moving?" Henry added.
"By any chance, are you Jessica's sister?" The boy asked.
"Yes, why?" I asked.
The boy bowed down, handing out his hand. What in the world is he doing? "I'm Zack." He said.
"Jenna." I introduced myself, still looking at him weirdly. He was just about to speak when Jessica slapped him. Woah, when did she get here? "Sis?" I asked.
"Now then Zack, you're not even gonna talk to my sister." Jessica looked at Zack sternly. I gave Henry the 'what was going on' look.
"Hey Jessica! Did you just-"
"Stop it!" Jessica cut in. Jessica pushed him away and whispered something real quick into my ear. I didn't even understand a single word, it was too fast. After that, Jessica walked away. "Wait! I didn't hear?" I said then I turned to Henry. "Did you hear what she said?"
"They don't call it whispering for nothing." Henry crossed his arms. Zack gave a wink at me and scurried away. Now what was all that for with Zack and Jessica.
Jessica's POV
"Don't snap, don't snap." Eliza cooled me down.
"Don't go crazy!" Kristine added.
"BOYS, BOYS, BOYS!" I shouted. "Annoying boys!"
"Well, we've tried." Kristine sighed.
Eliza patted my back, smiling. When I'm in a bad mood, it is best to not even talk to me. I could really do some serious 'damage' to everyone and everything. I've seen all sorts of annoying things, but nothing as annoying as Zack. I saw him all right, he was trying to flirt with every single girl in the school! Not just my friends, the whole class even people who are younger or older than him! If only Kristine was in the scene, she would have punched him or whatsoever.
Someone brushed up against my leg. I was all ready to hit that someone with my books. Told you so, when I'm in a mad mood, everything instantly becomes bad. Turns out that someone was Harold. "Woah!" He shielded himself.
Eliza hurriedly pulled Harold away. Kristine let out a sigh of relief. "Calm down there Jess." Kristine smiled. "I know that you don't want Jenna to be well.... Whatever by that Zack. But, you did do the right thing by slapping him." She giggled softly. "I would have done the same. Maybe worse."
A smile formed on my face. I was trying to resist the urge to giggle. "Now, there's a smile!" Kristine held my hand. "Now don't you worry, I'll deal with Zack."
"Kristine, you're making it sound like you're dealing with a criminal!" Eliza joined in.
"Well, he has violated the law." Kristine smirked.
"The law?" Eliza burst out laughing.
"My rules." Kristine crossed her arms. "Zack the outlaw has violated my rules. My rules, ya hear me?! And I will take make sure he goes into the lock up."
I laughed and laughed. Kristine makes everything dramatic and funny. "Well said." Eliza gave her a high five. "Kristine the officer, I salute you!" Eliza joked.
*Time skip*
"Oh Zack...." Kristine called out.
Zack that was walking immediately turned around. "Oh hey! What's up?"
"THIS." Kristine marched up proudly to him and punched him. Ouch, that is gonna hurt. I giggled softly as I looked. Zack fell down with his books scattered everywhere on the floor.
"Done and done." Kristine rubbed her hand gleefully and grabbed my arm. We laughed and ran to our next class.
