Chapter 30: Chocolate paradise
Anna's POV
"Welcome home my darlings!" I greeted Kristine and Kristen. "Well, not exactly home!" I giggled.
"Yeah, the chocolate shop!" Kristine squealed.
"I think you mean chocolate paradise." Kristen corrected her.
"Oh Anna!" Olaf came running out with a container of chocolate. "Here ya go!"
"Now then kids, as long as you have finished your homework you can make some chocolates or stand at the counter." Kristoff came out.
"Dibs on the counter!" Kristine said excitedly.
"What are we making today, daddy?" Kristen asked. "Milk chocolate? Dark chocolate? Or do I finally get to bake biscuits?!"
"We'll be making... It's a secret." Kristoff winked at him. "Come on, let's go see. Sven's waiting."
Kristen happily walked with Kristoff to the kitchen while I arranged the chocolates displayed. Kristine stood proudly at the cashier. "So sweetheart, how was school?" I asked.
"It was... Fine. Well it was until someone ruined my whole day." Kristine sighed.
"Oh?" I asked in interest.
"Yeah mummy, you wouldn't believe the amount of stuff that happened today. I don't even know where to start!" Kristine smiled.
"Let's take it from the top." I stroked her hair.
"Well remember my friend Shade, your enemy's son? It was awful! Pitch casted a spell on Shade that basically turned him into a robot! His eyes were red, his nature became cold. And this was all because he told us about the trap in store for Jessica and Jenna." Kristine complained.
"Really?" I asked, surprised. "It sounds like he pretty much risked his life just to warn you."
"Exactly!" Kristine said. "And we don't know how to reverse the spell on Shade! His sister Sabrina doesn't want to help or even talk to us!"
"Well darling, Pitch's powers are very strong and very hard to reverse it." I explained. "As for your friend, is he even still alive?!"
"Of course he is!" Kristine shouted. "He has been fighting hard to regain control of himself." I smiled and held her hand. "I don't know which is worse, Shade or Zack." She sighed.
"Oh? Zack? How many annoying classmates do you have? At first it was Micheal, Tom, Brandon, Timmy... What else? Who's Zack this time?" I asked.
"He tops the chart." Kristine crossed her arms. "A horrible, annoying, lame boy!"
"Really?" I asked, almost laughing. This reminds me back in the days I found out how ridiculous Hans was. Boy those were the days.
"Mummy, how did daddy try to impress you?" Kristine suddenly asked.
"Why?" I asked.
"Well because the lame boy, Zack, tried to impress us girls and they were like soooooo lame. Lame pick up lines." Kristine replied.
"Don't worry, you're still young." I chuckled. "You wouldn't have to bother about these. Oh and there's a customer, you know what to do."
I smiled at Kristine and walked towards the kitchen. Kristen was having fun pouring the milk and sugar. Sven's anthers were all white, full of vanilla. I grinned and levitated a cloth to wipe Sven's anthers. "What a mess!" I exclaimed.
"Oh honey!" Kristoff came to me. "The chocolate chip cookies will be ready in 15 minutes!"
"Timer's set." I looked at the clock. I helped Kristen with his bowl. It was a horrible mess. "You know, you could use your telekinesis to avoid messiness next time. But don't be lazy." I told Kristen.
"Yes mom." Kristen nodded and mixed his bowl. I searched for the butter for our chocolate cake. We were short on that today. To be honest, we were short on everything! Everything was like a best seller.
"Mummy!" Kristine yelled, running into the kitchen. "Oops, uh... Do we have any more chocolate chip cookies?"
"Dang, are those out already?" Kristoff asked. "It will be at least another... 12 minutes?"
"Just apologise kindly to the customer that wants it." I said to Kristine.
"No, no one wants to buy it, yet. I just gave a check and found out there was no more!" Kristine stated.
"Don't you know that everything runs out in this shop?" Kristen mixed his batter and rolled his eyes. "Usually nothing will last till 6 in the evening."
"I know." Kristine crossed her arms. "That's just awesome business and how this shop rolls!"
All of us giggled at the same time. Olaf joined in and laughed the loudest. Until he chocked on the snowflakes from his personal snow cloud. He chocked and chocked and chocked until his carrot nose went flying straight to Sven's mouth.
"Sven's got a free lunch." Kristoff laughed.
"NOOOOOO!" Olaf yelled, feeling where his nose was supposed to be. Sven marched to Olaf proudly and stuck his nose back. Olaf gave Sven a tight hug.
"Is there such a thing as carrot chocolate?" Kristen burst out laughing. "No, right?"
"If this is one of your weirdo ideas again, then it's a no." Kristine said. "First you said-"
"Don't say it." Kristen cut in.
"But it was so funny and weird I wonder if those were even cakes or biscuits. For example-"
"Enough" Kristen intruded Kristine's words again. "Those were the most embarrassing stuff I had ever thought of!"
