Chapter 17: In enemy territory

Hiccup's POV

"It's close to 3, let's go." Merida said.

"And since when did you want to come early or on time?" I joked. I walked towards Harold and Henry who were busy playing with their dragons.

"Come on boys, let's go." I told them. Harold and Henry nodded.

We walked over to Punzie's house. Elsa and Jack were already there. "Someone's early." Jack chuckled.

"Anna and Kristoff aren't here yet, make yourselves at home." Punzie stated.

"Come on, it's not like it's out first time in your house." Merida smiled.

Harold and Henry joined the other kids who were playing. The rest of us sat in the living room. "So Eugene, how did it go?" Elsa asked with interest.

"I was super silent, I don't think Pitch noticed me." Eugene replied. "I already know where his hideout is."

"Let me guess, abandoned houses." I crossed my arms.

"You got that right." Eugene grinned. "Pitch always takes places where there's nobody. So happens that row is totally full of houses that have been abandoned. No one lives there."

"That will be easy to spot then, just go that row." Jack chuckled.

"Even easier to spot, the house opposite Pitch's is totally black. I think Pitch did a little decoration there." Eugene added.

The door burst open. "And the party don't start till I walk in!" Anna sang as Kristoff, Kristine and Kristen walked in.

"Ah, you're here." Punzie smiled.

"Of course I'm here!" Anna let out a squeal. "So, what did you find out, Eugene?"

Kristoff and Anna joined us and sat down. "Pitch's hideout." I replied for Eugene.

"Awesome then, should we go give him a surprise?" Kristoff asked.

"Say, why not?" Merida asked. "It's about time we give that guy a lesson to not mess with us ever again."

"Can we go now?" Jack asked with a sly smile. Elsa looked at him and shook her head.

"It's not that logical to go now..." I muttered.

"Who needs logic? Screw logic!" Eugene burst out laughing.

"How can you even think of going when you don't have a plan?!" Elsa exclaimed.

"Who needs a plan? Just kill him!" Anna joked.

"Grab your gear, we're going into action." Punzie chuckled.

"Wait, for real?!" I asked.

"Why not?" Eugene and Jack said at the same time.

"You're kidding, right?!" Elsa asked. "We're putting our lives at risk!"

"We have always put our lives at risk ever since the first time we faced Pitch." Punzie replied.

"The longer we wait, the more risk we are taking!" Anna argued. "We might as well just go in right now!"

"Bow and arrows are check, I'm all ready." Merida stated.

"Come on Hiccup, let's do this!" Eugene encouraged me.

"Serious?!" I asked in disbelief.

"Does this face look NOT serious?" Jack asked.

"You heard them." Kristoff giggled. "Any objections?"

"Nope!" Punzie cheered.

"So... What do we do? Just barge in?" Elsa asked and Jack nodded.

"Did you bring Toothless along?" Anna asked.

"Look around, does it look like I would bring Toothless here?!" I asked.

"I like your sarcasm." Eugene gave me a high five.

"We need a dragon, go get him!" Jack exclaimed.

"So, when do we go?" Punzie asked.

"Now, duh!" Anna answered. "We're waiting on Toothless, go on Hiccup."

Merida accompanied me home to get Toothless. I seriously can't believe we are going to find Pitch now. Just barge in?! What kind of a plan is that?! But then again, by doing that we could catch Pitch off guard.

I whistled for Toothless. "Toothless, come out boy!" I called. Toothless came flying to me. "We got a mission bud." I said.

After all of us gathered, Eugene led us to Pitch's hideout. "Plan?" Elsa asked.

"Kill Pitch." Anna replied.

"Murder." Jack giggled.

"It this the house?" Kristoff pointed to a house all in black.

"Nope, this one." Eugene pointed to the house opposite it.

Jack was the first to run in. Elsa wanted to stop him but it was too late, we quickly went in. "YO PITCH! Remember me, Jack Frost?! It's been years!" I quickly shut Jack up. "Do you want to alarm him that fast?!" I whispered to him.

"And who do we have here?" An eerie voice echoed, Pitch. Pitch appeared from the shadows. "Welcome, welcome. It's not every day my enemy comes here to send his death."

"Oh no Pitch, we're here to kill you." Jack crossed his arms.

"I shall torture you first before killing you." Pitch grinned.

"You'll have to get through us first!" Another voice shouted. All of us turned around.

"Kids!" I exclaimed. "What are YOU doing here?!" I asked Harold, Henry, Kristine, Kristen, Jessica, Jenna, Eliza and Elijah.

"We're here to protect you!" Kristine shouted.

Punzie sighed heavily. "I guess we just can't stop you from all this."

"Why didn't you listen to us?! We told you to stay home!" Eugene said.

"And just let out parents throw themselves into danger?!" Eliza shouted.

Pitch clapped his hands. "The more the merrier. Now all of you can suffer before dying!"

Walls began to separate all of us. "Guys!" I yelled. The only person with me was Merida, and Toothless. I could hear screams everywhere. I looked around me. There were walls made from Pitch's sand. I doubt Toothless can destroy it.  We couldn't fly up either, there was a wall on top of us as well. The only way we could go is... Forward. We can't go left, right or up, only straight.

"I bid you good luck finding your way out of this labyrinth!" I heard Pitch's voice. "Break a leg! And I mean it!"

"Quick, everyone!" Jack's voice pierced. "All of you, try to find your way to the centre of this... Labyrinth! We'll group up there!"

"Roger that!" I heard Eugene.

"This is a labyrinth?! Like, those mazes that you can't get out?!" Jessica shouted.

"Don't worry Jess, we will get out of here!" Eliza yelled.

"Let's move!" Anna shouted.
