Chapter 15: More information
Elsa's POV
"We should storm his house, finish him once and for all! Then we wouldn't have to worry at all! The kids won't be in danger either! And-"
I placed my finger on Jack's lips. "Enough dear." Jack looked at his watch non-stop. "What's taking so long?!" Jack asked with a worried face. "What if- What if!"
Jack spoke too soon. Elijah and Eliza came bursting into the house. "We're home!" Eliza cheered. I let out a sigh of relief.
"You kids had me worried!" Jack carried Eliza up. "Why so long?!"
Elijah looked at me. "Were we THAT late?"
"About 15-20 minutes sweetie." I replied. "Your father was very, very worried."
"Sorry mom, but we were trying to protect Jessica and Jenna from falling into Pitch's hands." Eliza explained.
"Did you fight Pitch?!" Jack asked. "Quick, any injuries?!"
"No daddy. We didn't fight Pitch." Eliza replied.
"Then?!" Jack exclaimed.
I pinched Jack's arm. "Put her down first Jack. They just got home. At least let them place down their school bags first." I said. "Eliza, Elijah, go have a shower first, we'll talk about this in a bit, ok?"
"Ok!" Eliza and Elijah smiled.
I led Jack to the sofa. "Jack," I started. "I know you are horribly worried but please, don't put yourself in so much pressure. You need to relax, calm down. Besides, the kids look cheerful and fine. So just slowly ask them questions."
"Honey, how can you expect me not to worry when Pitch is back?! He's after all of us!"
"I know but we cannot panic."
"We have to find out more. I wonder what they meant by protecting Jessica and Jenna?"
"They weren't fighting. Protecting doesn't always mean fighting."
"Yeah, but it meant Pitch was after Jessica and Jenna. When it involves them, it involves all of the children."
"True."
"See my point now?"
"Whatsoever."
Jack kissed me on the cheek and chuckled softly. "So, when do you wanna ask Elijah and Eliza?"
"No rush. Let them finish their homework and all first." I replied. "And as for you, don't over react."
*Time skip*
"Oh.... So that's what happened." Jack let out a sigh of relief after listening to the kids' explanation.
"So, no harm, right?" I asked again.
"No mummy, we're fine." Eliza assured me.
"We are ok!" Elijah let out a silent cheer.
"Good, you had me sooooo worried." Jack wrapped his arm around me.
I rolled my eyes and smiled. My phone suddenly rang. It was Punzie. "Hello?" I picked up the call.
"Hey, I just wanted to thank Eliza and Elijah on behalf of Jessica and Jenna." Her voice echoed.
"No problem, the important thing is that Jessica and Jenna are safe."
"Oh and one more thing, I happened to glance outside just now and guess who I saw?"
I put my phone on speaker since Elijah wanted to listen in. Jack was curious as well. "Who did you see Punzie?"
"It is not obvious? Pitch Black."
"WHAT?!" Jack, Elijah and Eliza said at the same time.
"Yeah, Pitch. Eugene's tailing him at the moment. Finding out where he lives."
"I hope he's extra careful."
"Relax, Eugene is like a silent thief! He'll be fine."
"Ok then. I hope he gathers enough information."
"All we need to know is where his hideout is, I'm confident Eugene can do it."
"Hope he will come back safe and sound."
"He'll be fine. Why don't we meet up tomorrow? I'm sure that Jack would be super interested."
"You betcha!" Jack said loudly.
"Oh, so he's been listening too." Punzie replied.
"Good idea Punzie, let's meet at your house? It will be to dangerous if Jessica and Jenna were to walk out of home at the moment. There's no school tomorrow for them anyway." I asked.
"Set! I'll tell the rest. Bye!" Punzie hung up.
Jack put his fist up in the air. "Hell yeah!"
"Oooh, do we get to storm Pitch's hideout tomorrow?!" Elijah cheered.
"No." I said firmly. Eliza let out a sigh.
"I can't wait for tomorrow then!" Jack grinned.
"Seriously, just because we know where Pitch's hideout is doesn't mean we have to take actions that quickly." I crossed my arms.
"I do wonder how Pitch reacted when he found out his trap was untouched." Eliza whispered to Elijah and giggled.
"Mad, frustrated, out of his mind!" Elijah burst out laughing. Jack laughed along with him.
"Dang, I wished I asked Shade for his house phone number. We could ask him about how he reacted." Eliza sighed.
"No Eliza, it would be very risky to do that." I said.
"Daddy, how does Pitch look like?" Elijah asked in interest. "We never seen him before, can you show us?"
"Sure thing." Jack smiled and grabbed his phone. "Pitch looks a lot like your friend, Shade. Here, take a look."
"Hey, he really does look like him!" Eliza exclaimed.
Jack let the kids to continue looking at the picture of kids. I was just annoyed with Jack's moaning. A piece of paper suddenly came floating towards me. I gave Jack a nudge, he was surprised too. The paper landed on my palm and I unfolded it. "Oh, it's from Anna." I chuckled. "3 in the afternoon, Punzie's house." I read out loud.
"And I thought it was from Pitch." Jack giggled.
"Luckily it wasn't." I turned to him.
