Chapter 51: A day in the park
Anna's POV
I headed off to math class after I got my books. "Hey Anna." Kristoff came beside me. "Off to maths?" He asked and I nodded. Kristoff kissed me on the cheek and we went off to maths. We took our seats, and waited for the teacher. Kristoff played with my hair as we waited. "You done yet?" I asked him, annoyed.
"Why? Something wrong with playing your hair?" Kristoff asked with a weird look.
"I'm annoyed." I shrugged.
"Ok, ok." He put his hands up. "I won't touch your hair."
I threw a smile at him. "Tell me." I crossed my arms.
"Tell you what?" Kristoff asked.
"Don't hide it, I know that kind of face. I know you're trying to tell me something." I pinched his cheeks.
"There's probably something wrong with your eyes then." Kristoff rolled his eyes.
"No changing the subject!" I said sternly.
"There's nothing!" Kristoff protested, raising his hands in defence.
I pinched his cheeks. "Stop hiding it."
"Hide what?" Kristoff asked. I could totally tell he's trying to hide something. He's just denying it.
"Kristoff, I'm warning you...." I looked at him in the eye.
"Or what?" Kristoff chuckled as he crossed his arms.
"Fine, I'll leave you alone." I said in a cheeky tone as I got up from the chair.
"Hey hey hey hey...." Kristoff said as he grabbed my hand. "I'll talk, I'll talk."
I smiled as I sat back down. I felt like a cop questioning a criminal, it feels awesome. "So?" I asked.
"I.... I wanna, do you have time this evening?" Kristoff scratched his head.
"I always have time for you." I said as I ruffled his hair.
"Got time to hang out? At the park? This evening?" Kristoff asked.
"No problem!" I said, blushing.
Kristoff let out a little cheer. "There, much better now, no more that face." I said as I clapped my hands on his cheeks.
"I won't make that face again." Kristoff chuckled. "At least, for the rest of the day."
"I'll tell Elsa first." I said as I reached for my phone, the teacher still hasn't arrived yet, odd. Oh well, never mind, at least I have time. 'I'm going with Kristoff to the park, I'll be late back.' I typed the text and sent it to Elsa.
*Time skip*
"Come on!" Kristoff said as he dragged me to the park.
"What's the rush?" I laughed.
"Because I don't want to waste a single minute being with you." He replied.
I could feel my cheeks burning. I scurried behind him as I tried to prevent my books from falling out. "Slow down!" I begged. I could feel my hair was a mess. Kristoff kept quiet as we continued to the park.
"We're here!" Kristoff said as he sat down under a big shady tree. I sat beside him and sighed. "Wait here, we're gonna have a little picnic here." Kristoff said as he got up. "Picnic?!" I asked, surprised. Kristoff smiled at me as he walked away to a grocery shop which was about 200 metres away.
I lied down and took out my homework. I still had 1 more homework to do, it was science. I took out my pen and my text book. I opened my activity book, I had to do 5 pages of it, 5 pages! Way too much!
Now let's see....Digestive system, blah blah blah. I wrote down all the digestive system parts on the book, oesophagus, liver, stomach, small intestine, large, pancreas and more. Now that's done, next! Functions?! Gosh!
I groaned as I buried my face in my text books. "Anna!" Kristoff said as he carried a plastic bag. He placed the bag and sat beside me. "What's up?" He asked. He glanced at my science. "Homework?!" Kristoff raised his voice. I smiled weakly at him. "Don't let homework get in the way of today!" He said as he closed my books and stuffed them into my bag.
"But! I wanna finish my homework!" I protested.
"Later!" Kristoff snapped.
"Fine, you win. What did you buy?" I said as I reached for the plastic bag.
"Some food, stuff, for the picnic." Kristoff said as he took out some snacks.
I smiled at him and relaxed at the tree. I heard my phone. It was a text from Elsa. 'Enjoying yourself? :D' I smiled at my phone. 'Yes.' I replied.
"Eat up Anna." Kristoff said as he held a sandwich in front of me. I smiled and took a bite of it. "Yum!" I said. Kristoff took a bite, and another on the sandwich. "Well someone's hungry." I teased. Kristoff looked at me with a mouth full of bread. I giggled at him.
I lied my head on Kristoff's knees and relaxed myself. I put my arms under my head and let out a sigh. "Hmm, this is really good!" Kristoff said as he munched on the sandwich. I quickly lifted myself and took another bite, then lied back down. "Hey!" Kristoff said, smiling. He reached for a bottle of orange juice and handed it to me. I smiled back at him as I opened the cap. I gulped it down as I was quite thirsty.
"None for me?" Kristoff asked with a cute face.
"Here, you big baby." I smiled as I gave him the bottle.
"Just kidding, I got my own." Kristoff said as he took out another bottle.
"Not funny." I gave him a stern look.
"Oh come on..." Kristoff said a he pinched my cheeks.
"No." I crossed my arms.
"Ok, my little princess." Kristoff said and kept quiet.
I smiled at him and continued to relax.
