Chapter 30: He cares...
Jack's POV
I went to school happily, I kept re-imagining the scene last Saturday. I finally did it, I finally had the courage to ask Elsa. Elsa also finally accepted my friend request, after 2 weeks! I smiled to myself. I arrived at school and saw Hiccup and Eugene. "Hey Jack, well done buddy, well done." Hiccup said as he patted my back. "And where is the lovely lady?" Eugene asked. "She'll come later." I replied.
We all went in and girls started to swarm over me, each of them asking questions. "Jack, is it true that you broke up with Tina?" "Who was the one that wanted to break up?" "Are you looking for a new girlfriend now?" What are they, reporters?! Can't they just respect someone's privacy?! Gosh! I ran to my locker as fast as I could, and goodness me, I locker was jam packed with notes! Even inside the locker as well. More and more students surrounded me. I threw all the notes at them as a distraction, and ran to my class. Elsa wasn't in the same class as me, I impatiently waited for my next class. I doodled on my notebook, drawing hearts on it, my name and Elsa's as well.
The bell finally rang and I dashed out of the class and ran to the Science lab. Elsa wasn't there yet, nor the rest, except Punzie. "Hey Jack!" Punzie called me. "Where's your girlfriend?" She gave me a friendly punch. "I don't know, I'm waiting for her!" I replied. "Prince Charming is waiting for his ice princess!" Punzie squealed.
Hiccup and Merida finally came in. A few minutes later, Mr. Kangaroo came in. Where's Elsa?! She doesn't like to be late, where is she??? I smuggled out my phone and gave her a text. 'Where are you?' I texted. I kept staring at the screen, waiting for a reply, I wasn't paying attention in class at all. "Jack? Jack!" Merida nudged me. "Huh? What?!" I whispered-yelled. "Teacher's giving a pop quiz, pay attention!" She replied. Great, I hate, HATE pop quizzes. I quickly put my phone back into my pocket. "Hey guys, do you know where Elsa is?" I asked everyone.
"Didn't see her at all." Punzie said.
"Good question." Hiccup said.
"Haven't seen her anywhere, lass." Merida replied.
"Where could she be?! It's already been 15 minutes into the lesson, and she hasn't replied my text!" I was worried about Elsa, where is she?!
I was getting uneasy by the minute, I was really uncomfortable without Elsa. What if, someting happened to her?!
*Time skip*
It was lunch time and I scanned the whole cafeteria, Elsa was no where to be found! I spotted Anna and approached her. "Anna, where's Elsa?" I asked her. "Elsa's got a fever, so she didn't come today." She replied. "WHAT?!" I yelled and dashed out of the cafeteria, got my bag, and drove to Elsa's house.
I quickly rang her doorbell numerous times. Finally, someone answered. The door opened but I saw no one standing there. "Hi!" A voice called. I looked down and was stunned to see a small and cute little snowman waving at me. "Hi! I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs!" The little snowman said. "Umm....I'm here to see Elsa, is she here?" "Yes, yes of course! This way!" The little snowman ran to a room.
I opened the door and saw Elsa lying down on a bed. Her face was so pale. "Elsa!" I called out and quickly went and sat beside her. "J-Jack? What are you doing here?! Shouldn't you be in school?!" Elsa said, surprised. "I came to look after you." I stroked her hair. "Aww, how sweet. But I'm not worth your classes. I can take care of myself." She smiled at me.
"No way, you need care, by your personal doctor, Mr Frost." I joked. I went to the kitchen and came back into Elsa's room with a bowl. "What's this?" She asked. "It's soup, drink it, it will make you feel better, guaranteed." Elsa nodded and started to drink the soup. "It tastes really good, how do you know how to make this stuff?" Elsa asked. "Oh whenever my sister, Emma got sick, I would always do this soup for her. She gets well as fast as lightning, and so will you!" I replied sweetly.
I heard my phone and quickly took it out, it was a text from Eugene. 'Dude, Anna told me you shot off like a bullet from school! Where on Earth are you?! You do know that you're skipping classes, right?' It said. I smiled and replied, 'I'm at Elsa's, she's sick. I'm taking care of her. Just send me the homework via email or something.'
"Who is it?" Elsa asked. "Oh, it's from Eugene, he's asking me where I am." I replied. "Oh yeah, by the way, why didn't you reply my text?! You got me worried sick in school!"
"My phone's out of battery." Elsa replied.
"Oh ok, never mind, don't worry about that. What's important is that you get well soon. Where's your parents?" I asked curiously. "Oh and, who is this little snowman?" I pointed towards Olaf that came running in.
"My dad went to work, my mom went shopping, and this is Olaf. I made him, with....my powers." Elsa replied.
"He's so cute! A carrot nose too, hehe. Won't he melt?" I touched Olaf's nose.
"Hey! Don't touch my nose!" Olaf stepped back a little.
"See that cloud on top of him? That is what that keeps him well...alive, in summer." Elsa pointed to Olaf.
"Summer! I love summer, don't you?" Olaf asked cheerfully.
"I like winter more." I replied.
A woman came into the room, holding a plastic bag full of stuff. "Elsa, I- who is this?!" She asked. "Oh mom! This is Jack, my classmate." Elsa introduced. "Boyfriend." I cut in.
"Elsa, you have a boyfriend?!" Mrs Arens asked.
"May I introduce myself, Jack Frost." I said.
"This is great, Elsa! You already have a boyfriend!" Mrs Arens smiled at Elsa.
"Mom, don't say that." Elsa was as red as a tomato.
"Don't you have class, Jack?" Mrs Arens asked.
"Umm, I wanted to look after Elsa." I said awkwardly.
"Now that's a good boyfriend!" Mrs Arens patted my back. I smiled at her.
"Mom, can you go out, please?! This is awkward." Elsa pleaded.
"You two want some alone time? You got it!" Mrs Arens said and she went out.
"That's a great mom you have there." I told Elsa.
"She can get quite hyper sometimes." Elsa giggled.
"Feeling better now?" I asked.
"Yes, thank you so much, Jack." Elsa replied.
"As your boyfriend, I am also your personal doctor now." I teased Elsa.
Elsa gave me a tight hug, whispering 'thank you' into my ear. I hugged her back. "Promise me you'll take care of your health, ok? If you don't feel well, let me know!" I told her. Elsa giggled and nodded.
